1 Prologue

A world where <gods> and magic existed. A world where monsters roam and threaten the lives of many, capable of destroying countries and even continents.

Only those who are chosen by the <gods> or summoned by them can stop those threats. Those who are summoned are known as <heroes>. And unlike the denizens of that world, they are rather special. They grow faster than the people who reside there, making them stronger than anyone in a matter of days.

Well, they all exist alright. A young man with messy black hair and red eyes thought to himself. Next to him was a girl with beautiful blonde hair and emerald green eyes. The blonde then said while hitting me at the back of my head.

"Hey Rai-kun, no daydreaming. We're about to face the azure dragon."

"Ouch! No need to hit me. Look at Zei, she's reading a book while walking. Shouldn't you scold her instead of me?"

She then proceeded to hit me a few more times. Before we arrived at the entrance of the cave. We took a short break. I looked up at the sky raised my right hand, There's a mark on my right hand. I began reminiscing about the first day we went here. And how far we've gone. The blonde-haired girl stood up and gave a speech in front of the group. There were 5 of us at that time.

I thought to myself, this world ain't that bad.

*Beep! Beep!*

I abruptly woke up on a familiar bed and to the sound of my alarm clock. I turned it off and looked at the time. But suddenly a beautiful woman with long black hair, and paired with the same red eyes that I have entered the room her name is Shinku Akamine

"Wake up Rai-kun, oh you're already awake?! Then you better hurry up or you'll be late for school!"

"Oh, good morning Nee-chan, and can you kindly get out of my room?"

She pouted and said, "Don't be like that Rai-kun, I just wanted to see my adorable little brother's face, and also there's a delivery for you."

"Wait, I never ordered anything online? Can you give it to me?"

She nodded and went downstairs, trying to find it, clearly, she has forgotten where she had put it. I went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth, then I got changed into my school uniform. I went downstairs and was met by Shinku who now has her hair all messy.

"Ah, Rai-kun here it is." She handed over what seems to be a shinai bag. I noticed the time and quickly ran out while grabbing the shinai bag.

"Thanks, nee-chan, I'll head out now," I shouted while rushing out of the house. While running I checked my watch to see how much time was left before I'm late. Wait, I'm 1 hour early. I stopped running and remembered that the clock in the house was broken. I sighed and started walking instead.

As I was walking, I was greeted by one of my friends.

"Good morning Akamine-san." She tapped me by the shoulder and gave me a sweet smile.

"Ah, good morning, Midori-san."

A young woman with beautiful blond hair tied to a ponytail paired with beautiful emerald green eyes. Her name is Midori Lionheart. Midori transferred here two years ago due to some arranged marriage.

Wait, I haven't introduced myself to my dear audience. Hello, my name is Rai Akamine. I'm eighteen years old. I have high grades in most subjects except for math and history. I'm also a part of the 'Swords Martial Arts club' it's a club which has various types of martial arts about the sword. They decided to add this so that our school can participate in many events.

"Hey, Akamine-san, were you even listening to me?" Midori waved her hands in front of me.

I looked at her for a moment, and our eyes meet. I said in a sarcastic tone.

"Hmm, what were you saying again?"

"I said, that you'll be kicked out of the club if keep failing math and history classes!"

"Geez, no need to shout, anyways if you keep blocking the way we'll be late,"

I said with a grin on my face. She then looked at her watch and saw that we only have 10 minutes left, she then grabbed my hand and began running.

6 minutes and 30 seconds left. inside the classroom it was rather noisy, the homeroom teacher hasn't arrived yet. Though some strange markings began appearing on the floor.

4 minutes and 20 seconds left. I suddenly received a holographic message. But it seems that Midori didn't receive one or she didn't notice it. Anyways the contents were:

Description: arrive in class on time

Time: 4mins. And 15secs.

Reward: none

Failure:???

While reading the message, it sent a chill down my spine. This is dangerous.

10... we were running down the hall at full speed.

9... we climbed the stairwell. I almost fell but Midori managed to grab a hold of me.

7... inside the class, the top of their dominant hands began glowing, everyone was panicking luckily the president of the class managed to calm them down.

6...

5...

4... we saw our class door and ran towards it.

3... we tried to open it but it was locked.

2... I kicked down the door, and grabbed Midori, and jumped inside the classroom.

1... we succeeded in completing the quest. Luckily there was one second left.

0... everyone was surprised at what I did, but then I felt a searing pain in my hand as light erupted from it.

The teacher went up to scold us, but then a blinding light covered the entirety of the classroom...
