10 Chapter 9: Rebellion (part 1)

It was time to infiltrate the queen's quarters.

Zei casted an invisibility spell on me and Chieko. Apparently only the two of us can see each other, then Zei casts a teleportation spell she then said before we vanish.

"Good luck."

A moment later, I and Chieko were transported on top of the manor house. Chieko quickly scouted the area with her insane agility.

"Guards roaming everywhere."

"I know that, but where is the queen?"

Chieko's eyes glowed blue, and I could hear an owl, and then it went perching on the various balconies, and then she pointed at a window where the curtains were closed but the lights were on. There was also a balcony. I turned to Chieko and asked her.

"How did you do that? And what did you do?"

"Simple. really the <god > supporting me is Artemis. She gave me an ability that can make me share my senses with the animals here."

That made sense. But at that moment, two guards went to the rooftop with a magic lamp. My senses tell me that this is bad. I covered Chieko's mouth and said "sh". She nodded, then I grabbed her by the waist, then hanged on the ledge of the rooftop.

"Who's there?!"

The lamp then pointed at the part where we were, and the tips of my finger is revealed on where the light was shining. But a good thing I wore gloves that camouflages itself onto anything it touches.

"What's the problem, man?"

"I swear I heard some voices"

"You must be paranoid, hahaha, just because the queen told us to be on high alert."

"Well, I mean, it's the queen's orders."

"You might be right, old friend, but you might die cause of stress, you know."

"True, I'm quite old already."

They went back down from the roof and I pulled up together with Chieko and I let her go.

"That was close."

"Too close. They even have a lamp that dispels our invisibility magic, but good thing it turned invisible again."

"Let's do this quickly, Rai-kun, or else they might catch us again."

Dang, I have a bad feeling if we linger here for long, the queen might expect us, and that'll be big trouble.

I nodded, and we quickly ran our way there. Man, having stats is really awesome, I feel as light as a feather.

When we arrived at the balcony of the queen's room, I looked at Chieko first with a 3, 2, 1 Go.

But it was a good thing that the entrance to the balcony was open a bit. We silently went inside. I looked at Chieko, who had her phone ready and I also got my phone ready. We then stood up to see I was. Right, it was Sir. Roland and the queen are kissing.

I took a video of it using Midori's phone and Chieko took pictures. There was also a second problem that I didn't say to the rest. I don't know what the queen looks like, but I found a tiara on top of a drawer and now it's time for us to make an exit.

We were about to go out, but I stubbed my toe on the leg of a chair and tripped, making Roland to stop and look around. Ah shit.

"Why did you stop Sir? Roland."

"It was nothing, my queen."

Luckily for me they continued, we then exited the manor house via running on the rooftops and I jumped off the rooftop first, and I landed softly then Chieko jumped. I caught her. I could feel her breathing heavily and her temperature rising a little.

"You okay Chieko?"

"Yeah, just a little tired and all."

"Then let's go back, and it looks likes this was mission success."

Our invisibility ran out as we ran to the meeting point where Zei said she would be. I could see Zei off in the distance and she said.

"Come on, I'll teleport us back home."

A magic circle formed beneath our feet, then we vanished.

When I opened my eyes, I could see the entire party gathered in the room. Their expressions were grim, and the room was noticeably damaged. Not only that, Ryoto is unconscious on the sofa with wounds all over his entire body.

"What happened here and where's Kayda?"

Yuki then explained. From what he could deduce It was Ryoto's former friends who went here when Midori and Yuki were out and tried to convince him to give back Kayda to duke Arlon, but since he's loyal to me now and not to his former friends anymore, they had a fight. Ryoto lost because they outnumbered him.

[The <god > 'Mother of Dragons' is furious to hear of what happened!]

[The <god > '???' Is calming down the <god > 'Mother of Dragons']

[The <god > 'Wisewoman of Olympus' wants you to give justice for 'Kayda'!]

[The <god > 'Judge of Fire' is furious and will help you smite the ones who did evil!]

[The <god > 'Chieftain of the Guardian Angels' will help you smite the evildoers!]

Midori then opened the room. The room was dark and smelled horrible. I casted 5 [Fireflies] and see where Kayda is. She was sitting in the corner, hugging herself. The room was decorated with blood and guts splattered around everywhere.

[The <gods > are surprised to see that they are already dead]

"Zei tends to Ryoto's wounds."

Zei nodded, then I cautiously approached Kayda and if it were not for [Calm Mind], I would have puked all over the place like Chieko, who didn't even last a second seeing this sight. Kayda looked at me with eyes full of malice.

"Hey Kayda, it's okay, it's just me. See."

I casted even more [Fireflies] to light up the room. I could see Kayda's clothing was ripped from the top.

"My savior, is that you?"

"Yes, it's me, Kayda, come over here. I'll protect you."

Kayda reached out to hug me and then began crying.

"It was not my fault! They try to bring me back into being a slave! And they even attacked Ryoto!"

"I know you're not at fault here. Just calm down. Everything will be fine."

I looked around the room to find the window smashed. I looked over it and saw a blood trail.

"Everyone, get ready to move out of this mansion! Yuki carry the unconscious Ryoto, Zei cast buff spells on all of us! Chieko, go scout ahead for a place we could stay in for the night! Midori, guard my back!"

All of them are confused at why I ordered this, but then there was stomping outside and we could hear metal clanking, then we heard a loud banging on the door.

"Open up the door and give back the slave! She belongs to the house of duke Arlon"

As the party realised what I meant they, immediately did what I ordered them to do.

"Buffing is already done!"

"Yuki, take up your shield. We're busting through the door."

"Understood."

I carried Kayda, who was still traumatized by what happened. I counted down.

"3..."

"Open this door down or we'll force our way in!."

"2..."

"You asked for this!"

"1..."

The door burst open and there were guards about to flood the place, but we were one step ahead.

"Go!"

Yuki charged in with shield in hand, knocking all the surprised guards backward, and the rest of us followed Yuki.

When we were about to reach the exit, our classmates blocked us.

"We were given a main <quest > to get back a lost slave, so give her to us and no one will get hurt."

"To a scum like you, heh, I would rather eat horse's dick than to hand over Kayda."

"You son of a bitch, fine, then I'll force you to."

He swung his axe at me, but Yuki blocked it and then something happened.

A burst of lightning suddenly struck all the heroes who were blocking our way, and they were rendered unconscious.

We ran with all our speed. I looked back to see if Zei was holding up and she was thanks to the buffs. Then a message popped up.

Chieko: Once you've reached the first jewelry shop, turn right and don't stop running.

Party chat was a thing? Well, once we saw the jewelry shop, we turned right. It was an alleyway and a dead end. Of course, Yuki trusted Chieko, and he ran straight through the wall and phase through it. I remembered something like this, so I did the same thing.

"Oh my, if it isn't it the <Judge > and the <Sage > it's a pleasure to see you guys again."

It was the guild leader, Angelica Morrigan.

"Thanks for saving us guild master."

"No need to call me guild master anymore <Judge >, call me by my name Angelica."

"Wait, since when did you quit?"

"Well, I quit 230 years ago."

"Wait 230 years ago?"

All of them froze at what she said 230 years ago. Angelica looked at us and said.

"That's right, the guild that you joined existed 230 years ago but got demolished, and that I sent you guys to the present in this world."

It shocked me to hear this, so to put it into summary the past of this world is the tutorial phase, and the present is the main phase. I looked around the area we were in. It gave an odd sense of nostalgia.

"You're right, this place was the old guildhall. You can use this as your base of operations."

Angelica then went up to her room. Zei then followed.

"Master! Wait, what do you mean 230 years passed?!"

Zei then entered Angelica's room. I went up as well. If this was the same guild we went to, before, there should be our rooms.

I opened it and not much has changed. It looks like Angelica was expecting our arrival.

"So what do we do about the main <quest > that our classmates have right now?"

I looked at Chieko before putting the unconscious Kayda on the bed.

"Can someone who put up the <quest > take it down?"

"What do you mean?"

I showed the phone and Chieko instantly recognized what I was talking about.

"It looks like it's about time to start the rebellion in the kingdom, starting with using the queen as our pawn."
