14 Chapter 13: Rebellion (End)

We headed down the tunnel, inside it was damp and there were torches lined up on the walls. I looked at Kayda who's hands were shacking and breathing heavily, this is probably the place where she got dragged down to the dungeons and waited to be sold.

Kayda looked at me and said with confidence. although she said that her eyes were shaking she was anxious, it was clear to everyone she was not ok.

Kayda then sped up and we soon stopped in front of an iron door. Midori went up and sized up the iron door, she tried opening it but it was locked.

Midori raised her sword up in the air and struck the iron door at lightning speed. the thick iron door was sliced like it was butter. She was surprised that she could do that I guess this is the first time she got to test her strength against an iron door which was 10 inch thick. If we were transported back to our world with these kind of powers, I wonder what would happen.

The room is dark and it smell like rotting rats, I casted multiple [Fireflies] to illuminate the room and it was as expected, multiple cages could be seen and people are inside. Some are half naked while some are beaten up.

I looked at Midori and she used her skills so that they could trust us and not attack when we open the cages.

But Kayda took the initiative first and started ripping the cages open one by one, while the rest tend to their wounds.

Zei casted a wide healing spell. And Midori started slicing the locks of the cages.

I ignored Zei and started looking around the dungeon and I saw a curtain, behind that is a wooden door with blood marks on it.

I opened it cautiously, and saw it was an execution chamber with a guillotine inside, the room itself was bloody and in front of the guillotine was a basket with one head inside.

I looked around and saw an insignia of the <Judge> but this one only has the darkness. There was also a book.

I checked the book and opened it to a random page.

"Experiment number 87, subject name: Xeker, Race: Orc, As I killed him I managed to trap his soul into a philosopher stone and harnessed it's power, but only for 5 minutes, I deem the experiment a success."

This was not the only entry to the book, I flipped through the pages and was angered.

Zei looked at me and saw that I was extremely pissed. The book that I opened was at least over 200 pages and all of those are experiments and some were torture methods.

The room burned down, but I looked at Kayda she was apparently next but the queen bought her off before she was killed. We left the dungeon and began walking back.

Once we've reached the surface and went outside. There was a whole crowd waiting for us and the slaves that we saved headed over there. Midori activated her skill again.

"This is just the begging, we will take back the freedom of many citizens, we will make the nights here safe again, we will liberate this kingom!!!"

As Midori said that she grabbed a banner and burnt it, The people started shouting not in sorrow or despair, but in happiness and for freedom.

I then looked at my party members and Then towards the crowd, I sarcastically said.

"Heh now we look like buncha heroes."

Kayda looked at me while wiping herself of tears and she said.

"What do you mean aren't we always the heroes?"

I smiled at her and laughed lightly and I said while patting her head.

This is the only comfort I could get, This'll be the 1st time I've killed some people. I looked at my hands before clenching it to form fists. I'll forever carry this burden.

1 week and 6 days has passed in a flash since then.

during in those times we've busted a lot of human trafficking facilities and evil nobles but we haven;t found duke Arlon yet, but I've figured out that they all were part of a cult praising the evil <Judge> that the world once chose.

The kingdom is now in utter discord and the nobles of the kingdom are starting to be afraid because they think that we just raid nobles, but we soon found out a deeper system and started splitting up into groups to clear it faster, I'm with Ryoto, Midori is with Kayda and Zei, and Chieko is with Yuki, and not only we've disrupted the slave trade, we've also took down most of the underground market thanks to us.

Right now we're busting a facility, and chasing down 3 of its leaders.

I left the other 2 leaders to Ryoto and I chased on one down onto an alley way and cornered him.

I woke up to the noises of the messages and I slowly looked around, my hands were bounded on chains that can restrict the user from using any skills. Then I looked in front of me it was the queen.

I snorted at the fact that I was the leader, I then looked around to see a familiar face.

There several people but the most noticeable one is the Sir. Roland the lieutenant of the royal guards.

He sure is giddy one. I glared at the queen and I asked.

I guess it's a plan to demoralize the people and my party in the kingdom, saying that they managed to catch a hero, although I'm the weakest one in the group.

I could see a woman with long wavy blonde hair paired with emerald eyes and she has large wings on her back, she was wearing a frilly black dress, she's being reflected onto the screen, as she walk towards me and melted the chains. Then she disappeared. And we both said simultaneously.

They noticed that I've escaped Roland swung his axe towards me but I was quicker I summoned my sword to block the axe it was hard to repell it due to my state but I managed to shake him off, [Inventory] I then pulled the justice scale from my inventory and raised it high. And I said with a booming voice.

All of them suddenly knelt to the ground, unable to move they're shaking, they are afraid.

The world began changing it changed into the capital square where people gathered to watch the execution and there are 2 guillotines waiting ahead, I walked towards there and I saw the Queen and Duke already restrained.

The queen pleaded as she was put inside the guillotine.

"Fuck you <judge> when I die I'll curse you even when I'm in the pits of 'Sheol' ."

The duke cursed at me with all his might as he was restrained.

I looked at Roland who was terrified, and I said.

I looked at the crowd and saw the party there and a lot of people screaming and shouting in rage.

Roland held onto the lever and the queen said.

Before she could finish, Roland flipped the lever and *shwooock* the heads of the queen and the duke is in the basket.

After the execution the world turned back to normal and I gained an item.
