13 Chapter 12 Rebellion (part 4)

I woke up to a brand new day, the sun was shining the birds are chirping and Kayda is invading my bed.

"Kayda wake up."

"No."

Kayda said it in an adorable manner, I then pushed her off the bed and she's still sleeping like a rock.

I stood up and started stretching I see that Ryoto isn't here and left a note.

"To Akamine-sama.

I'll be scouting the capital with Chieko and Yuki today I might be able to come back at 2-3 hours from before you woke up and do take care."

Well so that leaves me, Midori, Zei, and Kayda all alone here at the tavern.

"*Yawn* good morning my Savior."

"First can not go to my bed every time we're in the same room."

"Can't help it you smell like a dragon."

"Okay? Second can you start calling me by my first or last name."

"No, savior is savior."

*Sigh* the door opened without me noticing anything, Zei entered the room with still sleepy face.

"Yo, Rai did you sleep well last night."

Zei, looked at me worriedly, and was about to say something again, but I was first to talk.

"Yes I did, and thanks again Zei."

Zei ignored what I said, but couldn't let go and continued interrogating, while Kayda sat there clueless as to why the atmosphere seems kind of weird.

"You didn't sense any presence last night after I left, did you?"

"No what do you mean?"

This shocked me I thought that my supporter made a <private area>. But it looks like Zei was still able to sense it, She looked me in the eye and shrugged it off.

"Anyways Kayda, Midori is calling for you."

"Why though?"

"She said it's about your daily training."

Kayda realized that she was late for Midori's training, for the past 2 weeks the whole party was teaching and taking care of Kayda, she grabbed her great sword and exited out the room, Zei on the other hand was about to leave, but before she does I grabbed her by the arm.

"Zei about the plan."

"*sigh* we storm in duke Arlon's slave facility, free them and kill the duke if he's there."

"But is he there though?"

Zei looked at me with surprise, I still remember my future and it seems that the lieutenant captain of the royal guards, was the one torturing me.

"What if he isn't there?"

Zei sighed and patted my head, treating me like child.

"Rai the whole plan revolves around freeing the slaves and starting a revolution, not killing the duke."

"You're right."

I resigned before starting an argument.

"Zei we'll start the operation once every one is here."

"Got it."

As Zei said that I left the room and she soon followed, I went down the tavern to be greeted by the smell of food.

"Can we eat first?"

Zei vigorously nodded and we ordered some food. As we waited for the food I saw a man behind the counter probably the manager beating up a slave.

"Hey Rai our food has arrived."

"Uh oh yeah."

Zei sighed and a moment later the manager screamed as his pants were lit on fire.

"Heh."

I smirked and began eating the food, the bard began singing praises again, about the korean heroes again, but this time it was accompanied with a different verse.

"Oh when?, oh when?, will our heroes come to liberate us from slavery."

The tavern became silent and people began listening to him.

"For years this country is a slaves state, this country filled with torme-."

He was then strangled by a man at least 2 times larger than me and said.

"Oi, will you shut the fuck up with your wining."

"You cannot silence me, nor the peoples suffering."

I stood up but Kayda suddenly bursted through the door and cut the mans hand holding the bard.

"Hey are you okay?"

It was Chieko, Yuki, Ryoto, and Midori who came to the rescue. The bard struggled to get up and started shouting.

"Here! Will the revolution start and here slavery in this kingdom will end!"

I looked at the counter. The girl who was getting beaten up awhile ago, now was stabbing her manager.

I looked at my party members and they nodded. And sent a message in the party chat.

Rai: it's time to start like this bard said.

Midori activated her skills and started saying motivational speech while standing on a table.

"She's right! We can no longer abide to this rule and take back our free country!"

Apparently some of the people here have lost their loved ones, to the nobles or was kidnapped and traded them in as slaves.

All of them are riled up but a man then asked a question.

"But how do we do that? And why are you trying to help us?"

The party looked at each other before making a declaration.

"We have a plan of course and because we're heroes."

The minstrel's eyes began tearing up and shouted.

"THE HEROES HAVE ARRIVED IN THE FORSAKEN KINGDOM OF ULRIC!!!!"

The people's faces began brightening up and hope once again filled them. People from the outside heard and started spreading rumors about the heroes who'll start a revolution.

Midori and the party stepped outside, except for me and Zei who haven't finished eating our meals.

"Well looks like it started."

"Yup but before that let's eat."

After eating we stepped outside and a message appeared.

Midori: We'll meet at the dukes manor. And it looks like the duke hired some adventurers as guards.

Rai: well that'll be troublesome

I sighed and looked at Zei who was wiping her mouth with a napkin.

"Well it looks like the plan have changed."

"Yup it sure did."

The streets are already in a state where people are rioting. Well I guess this is what a revolution looks like.

The messages annoy me but them wanting to see me use 'Judgement', that skill is something I don't want to use if possible. I tried changing the subject while looking at the huge crowd gathering in a direction.

"Damn Midori's skill sure is scary, but useful in taking care of crowds."

I said while looking at the chaos. Zei then tugged my sleeve and said.

"Sure is. Wanna go and teleport there?"

"Sure thing Zei."

A magic circle formed beneath our feet and light soon enveloped us. As we opened our eyes again, I could see that we're inside a well decorated house.

"Well looks like they're about to attack this place."

I looked outside the window and saw a line of guards, and adventurers? Midori was right, a loud boom was heard down the hallway it was caused by Zei who fired a fireball there.

"It looks like we have company."

"Well isn't this a party."

I smiled and summoned my sword.

[Judge's blade] (rank:Legendary) (lvl 32)

The blade of the former Judge of Light and Darkness. Can evolve along the user, and can conjure different elements, and returns to it's master.

Gives additional bonus stats due to reaching level 30. +50 in all stats when Judge's blade is equipped.

I looked at the stats and thought to myself. 'this'll be the first time I'm going to kill a human' my hands trembled at the thought.

"Rai behind you!."

I was almost stabbed but I dodged it thanks to Zei's warning. I started unsheathing my sword, and ran towards the guards and adventurers, this was the first life I took, but due to the skill 'Calm Mind' I didn't feel anything.

Zei on the other hand started blasting the other side of the hallway as it was also being filled with guards. Zei blasted them with lightning and fire making some of them toast.

outside the house

"Kayda don't hold back on these assholes!"

Ryoto shouted at Kayda, Then Kayda's blade started glowing bright red and flames erupted from it.

"Damn Dragonoid!"

The adventurer started attacking her but in no avail, she swung her great sword once and cleaved many of them in half.

"That's right Kayda!"

Ryoto unsheathe two blades, instead of using a sword and shield combo, he then made quick work of the enemy surrounding them.

"The guards are all down!!"

"Yeaaaahhhhh!!!!"

The screams of the people could be heard inside the house and Midori who was covered in blood said to the party.

"We must hurry inside the house I heard that they have a platinum ranked adventurer there."

Ryoto looked at Midori and asked.

"How strong are they even?"

"They're averaging stats are 200-250."

When Chieko heard this she immediately rushed inside the house where an explosion happened not to long ago.

*Pant*...*pant*

I was breathing heavily after facing off with a platinum ranker, it was a hard fight due to experience gap but I won thanks to Zei's buffs.

"Rai, are you okay?"

I looked at Zei who wasn't even fazed that she killed all those men and women, who might've had families.

"I'm okay, come on let's go."

When I was about to stand up, the window shattered and a woman landed on me it hurt due to me being injured by that high ranking adventurer.

"Rai-kun are you okay?"

"Yea... but you landed on top of me."

It was Chieko, she immediately stepped off the rest followed her.

"So Akamine-san where to next?"

I looked at each party members who are drenched in blood.

"Let's go to the dungeon."

"How would you know that there's a dungeon?"

Yuki made a good point but then Zei answered it for me.

"I've scanned the whole house and there is one, I'm creating a path to there now."

A faint quake could be felt and the ground opened up leading to a tunnel.
