You probably noticed I missed uploading a chapter yesterday. My girlfriend came over for a week…and…she doesn't know I am a weeb…so… I am having trouble writing a chapter.

I have tried using my phone and typing…but she kept asking what am I typing for so long…even after telling her that I was playing a game….so as an intellectual… I ditched her… told her I was going to Chick-fil-A… I parked my car in a parking lot and wrote this chapter, there might be many spelling mistakes.

"So you want to join Root?" Naruto asked, looking straight at Shikamaru, questioning his decision.

"Yes… I want to be strong, and I want to join the Hunters division." Nara replied. He doesn't look anything like the previous lazy person.

When Naruto got Root, he turned into a separate Department rather than a division of Anbu, Hiruzen, who was Naruto's puppet, and Tsunade, the current Hokage and the fiancé of Naruto accepted the decision without batting an eye.

Naruto has already done many assassination works, like killing the two civilian advisories since they have many secrets and might cause trouble in the future.

There are many divisions. The Hunter's division is specially created to hunt bounties for the money and hunt traitors.

There is another division affiliated with the medical department, and they are either filled with medical-nin who was trained as an Anbu or ninja specialist in poison.

Hell, Naruto even made a division similar to the FBI and CIA. They are ones known to handle internal and external village affairs.

While Anbu also does similar missions and sometimes collaborates with Root. The Root is specifically designed to guard the Hokage, Naruto's family, and Naruto's own special division. They can even temporarily take over Konoha if the current Hokage passes away.

Naruto looked at Shikamaru and thought, 'Well, I guess my plan worked…and too well at that… I thought I needed to go to him in person and convince him to join Root.'

" As your friend, I am saying, this will be a tough decision Shika… The Root is not like Anbu; they are trained more seriously and are basically ghosts… Even the Hokage doesn't know the members and has no jurisdiction over this department… I have heard what happened. If you wanted revenge…this is not for you… the Root is the village's last protection. I solely control the entire department. Naruto, of course, wanted Shikamaru to join Root, but he is playing reverse psychology.

Naruto then explained to him how Root works.

The main currency in Root is a unique Gold Coin with an Uzumaki emblem on one side, and the other has a picture of a tree. The Gold coins contain pure chakra to increase your chakra amount. Naruto got inspiration from reading cultivation novels, like spirit stones.

You can use the Gold Coins to either increase your chakra amount or trade for jutsus. Every Root agent gets a golden ring, which secretly absorbs chakra. It absorbs the excess chakra a person subconsciously releases and the chakra of a person who gets killed by the Root agent.

Naruto knew that if this got out, there would be war. As an average ninja gets older from their peak form, the chakra volume gets lower and lower other than special circumstances.

Every coin had a summoning seal when it was created. The person can always summon it back if it's gone missing, and every week Naruto's Wood Clone collects the rings of the Root agents and summon the coins connected to that specific agent and give them new ones. The old rings get turned into Coins.

Naruto is basically rich now with chakra; sadly, these coins can't really do anything for Naruto since he has unlimited chakra.

While his chakra amount cannot be compared to an Otsutsuki who has eaten a Chakra fruit, his power can go head-to-head with an Otsutsuki.

(His unlimited Chakra is different from the chakra amount. His body produces a certain amount of chakra, and it gets refilled unlimitedly from converting negative emotions)

After hearing about the currency and divisions, Shikamaru could help but to pinch himself. The coins could make anyone slave themselves, and the Gold Coins could change the whole Shinobi era.

"This… Naruto, it's unbelievable, but since it's you, I can believe it. *sigh* Excuse me, Naruto…sorry, Naruto-sama." Shikamaru said.

Naruto chuckled and said, "When we are alone, you can call me Naruto; it's fine. You are my best friend, Shika… So don't mind letting me know if you have any problems, and here…the Token is special. It can teleport you to the nearest Root station. Use only when you are in danger. Finally, here is the location of the headquarters, and someone will be there to guide you. Also, give this letter to that person."

Shikamaru gave a smile and went to meet his new Root team leader. It is too late to change his mind now, his schedule is already given, and now he is a Root agent. Unlike others, he doesn't need to go through a test or anything like that, since Naruto himself recommended him.

Unlike in the cannon, Naruto doesn't care about making Shikamaru his advisor or right-handed man, since he doesn't really need one yet. Instead, he has Tsunade, Haku, and even Hinata, who was being trained. While they might not be as smart as a Nara, they are still geniuses.

Naruto thought, 'I heard the Akatsuki already captured Yugito Nii…and Asuma died before the cannon, which didn't happen the same in the cannon. From my knowledge of the cannon, it should be a few months away from Akatsuki capturing Isobu and extracting Matatabi… Shikamaru and Kakashi can handle Hidan and Kakazu like in the cannon.'

A few months passed, and while Naruto shouldn't show favoritism, he never cared and gave some scrolls to Shikamaru on ways to use his Kekkei Genkai.

Naruto gave a particular method to make shadows semi-sentient using {Yang Release}. Naruto named it {Shadow release: Shadow Puppet}. He also warned Shikamaru never to give that technique to others without his permission.

The Jutsu is similar to the power of the Shadow Monarch, but much weaker since they are just shadows. The power varies depending on the user's chakra; by consuming the user's chakra, they can make as many as they want. If the user has no chakra, their life force will be used as a substitute. It is named a Kinjutus by Naruto, only available to Shikamaru currently.

Shikamaru and Kakashi, like in the cannon, fought Kakazu and Hidan and won, but unlike the cannon, Hidan wasn't buried underground…no, he was captured and brought to Naruto.

Naruto was thrilled, since he wanted to know the real reason for Hidan's immortality. But unfortunately, Naruto hasn't found any clue of any "Evil God" or Jashin. After consuming his soul, he only found that Hidan got the power from a ritual connected to a wooden statue.

After a few weeks, Naruto gave up and started draining his blood. Only after draining his blood did he find out the reason from his immortal body.

Let me check what I got from absorbing Hidan's blood and chakra.

I suddenly got Skyrim vibes for some reason, but now I need to focus. So Hidan got the powers from bark or some part of the God Tree which was left.

Since I have {Adaptation}, the imperfect technique automatically started to become perfect, and now I am connected to someone who has God complex.

I was blinded by bright light when I opened my eyes. I was in an unknown location. As I looked around, I noticed that it looked similar to void from a good deal of anime I had watched. I then looked toward a chained person standing in the air.

I knew who it was from looking at her, and damn, her two sons sealed her in an unknown dimension while also chaining her. Talk about having issues.

She has pale skin, delicate facial features, and extremely long, sweeping white hair that looks a little gray. She had clear white eyes, and her eyebrows were cut very short and round, with a third eye in the middle of her forehead. Her lips were the shade of rosy red, and she had two horns that looked like the ears of a rabbit. I can say without a doubt, she looked gorgeous; she can go head-to-head with those jade beauties in cultivation novels.

I was brought out when I heard her speak.

"It has been a long time since some looked at me like that… The last person was my former husband, who I brutally killed," She said with a haughty tone, but her face looked expressionless.

I could see she was trying to intimidate me, but I didn't care and clearly wasn't intimidated.

When she saw my cold gaze, her face twisted, and she started staring at me. I can already see that this introverted person has no social skills. I sighed as I went near her.

When I was close to her, I looked her in the eyes and said, "Let's introduce ourselves as civilized people. Don't make me repeat myself…you should have noticed that I have already sealed the connection we have felt previously, so I wouldn't mind leaving you alone if I am annoyed."

She clearly turned furious listening to what I had said, but she didn't show it on her face. I guess living alone caused her to calm her madness down.

I decided to introduce myself first. "Well… My name is Naruto Uzumaki, and I am a Shinobi from Konoha. Likes are spending time with friends and training."

Following me, Kaguya introduced herself, "I am Kaguya… Otsutsuki" She stared at me as she finished her introduction.

' *sigh* anti-social people are hard to deal with… I mean, she spoke normally when we met, so why is she behaving like this?' I thought.

"So, Otsutsuki-san, now you know my name, and you can clearly see I am a normal human, so what do you want to talk about?" I said.

"LIES! When we connected, I sensed a chakra signature unique to an Otsutsuki. Even compared to low-level members, your chakra amount is absurd… And how can you even use chakra?" She vehemently said.

It's good that I am not Asura's reincarnation anymore. It would have been more awkward talking to her.

And Now, Here goes my plan, of manipulating her or getting close to her. The anime states that she is very paranoid of her clan and even went as far as to turn her followers into mindless puppets for her army.

" I have found an Otsutsuki member who goes by Isshiki who placed a Kama seal on me. I have killed him, and I sealed his will and destroyed his consciousness using my power. Other than that, it is… none of your business." I am going with this story since I don't have Asura's chakra.

After mentioning Isshiki's name, her eyes widened. Her emotions were nervousness and fear.

" You were able to deal with an Otsutsuki, even if he was injured, is a remarkable feat. Join me, and I will give you a place at my side when we rule the world… Many formidable enemies will be coming in the future, and if we defeat them, we can rule the world together."

Listening to her, I thought, 'Nah…bit*h, the first thing you would do is turn me into White Zetsu, so hell no, I am not trusting you… Well… I don't need to worry about you anyway since I am more powerful than you…you are literally a glass canon with no fighting expression.'

In the anime, she only won because Black Zetsu helped her navigate through her fight, giving her bits of advice that saved her life many times.

I turned to her and said, "Nope… I can manage by myself. One, I don't trust you; you are an unknown variable, and two, I am already powerful enough to bring the Elemental Nation to their knees with brute force, but I like using subtle manipulation to control everything."

No, I am not like those who like to spill all their plans before the fight. As I am talking to her, I am slowly using my Will and {SEAL} to take over this dimension. In the end, even if Black Zetsu somehow gathered all the tailed beasts and planted the God Tree, he wouldn't be able to release her. Hell, he won't even be able to find her. I am using my {Rinnegan} unique ability {SEAL}, which can basically seal and unseal anything I want.

I can use that power to unseal her now, but why would it do that? I would get no benefit from saving her now… Well, I can do something which might improve my relationship with her.

I am not really in love with her or anything, and I need her to tell me about the Otsutsuki Clan and how to deal with them. I am guessing there should be thousands of them throughout the Narutoverse.

If, somehow, she gets interested in me…we will see.

" How about I make a deal? I promise it will interest you." I said mysteriously.

Kaguya narrowed her eyes and said, "Speak."

Naruto inwardly chuckled, thinking her expressionless face was cute.

" I can become a Jinchuriki by sealing you in me… But if I die, you will either die, or something will happen, I don't know."

Kaguya at first thought the idea was crazy, but something ignited with her, which filled her with a feeling of longing and hope.

I was observing her wild ride of emotions and thought, 'Yes…come to the dark side' with an evil smirk inwardly.

After a while, she made up her mind and said, "Okay, I will, but I want to see, hear and feel everything."

I shook my head and said, "Nope, sorry. I have a fiancé and girlfriend, while also having my own life. I like privacy, but I will come every day to talk to us, and once a week, I will share my senses with you for some time, and as I trust you more, we can talk about changing anything in the future."

There is no way I am allowing her access to my sense all the time; that would be stupid.

Even with Kurama, I sent him to my {Kamui} to roam around. I made a seal so that I can always use his power ups, such as {Kurama Chakra Mode} or {Tailed beast mode}. I have him as my summoning contract, so I can always summon him.

We finally decided that I would share my access with her twice a week. She is basically made up of chakra, so I sealed her in me. While I sealed her, I also secretly added a seal on her.

In the beginning, before, she was betrayed by her husband. She was a passionate woman who even gave up her clan ideals to save the Shinobi world she fell in love with. Her mind only becomes twisted after consuming the chakra fruit, and it becomes more twisted after her two sons betray her.

I can already guess there is a conspiracy from the Toads, I don't know about the Immortal Slug and Immortal Snake, but I am sure the Toads are manipulating the Shinobi world. My lion summons even said that the Toads should not be trusted… Thinking about summons, it's been a while since I talked to Nori. I should summon her and talk to her.

At least now, I hope to know the same passionate woman behind that emotionless mask she now wears.
