Naruto: Oh, it looks like the match is starting between Sasuke vs. Shino. Let's see how far your father trained you, Sasuke.

I heard there was a big fight between Fugaku and Mikoto about Sasuke. Since then, Mikoto started living with me, and the relationship between Sasuke and me has worsened now. There is no rivalry; I can only sense pure hatred from him.

< Flashback >

When Naruto was getting ready to bed, he sensed Mikoto was coming to his house. The emotion he felt was anger, regret, and sadness. However, he was not surprised since he sometimes felt the same feelings when Mikoto visited.

*Knock* *Knock*

When I opened the door, I was surprised to see Mikoto in tears, this was the first time I had seen her cry, and suddenly I felt some pain in my heart. Surprisingly, I spend a lot more time with her throughout the year than I do with Hinata since she has duties as a Hyuga heir. She even told me one of her biggest secrets. That Fugaku and Mikoto were forced to marry from the clan's pressure and shockingly form the third. She told me Fugaku liked and got close to someone he should not have. So Hokage pressured the Uchiha to move to the end of the village and far away from that person. I was surprised since I thought they got moved because of the Nine-Tails incident. I guess it's AU.

Coming back to Mikoto, she hugged me and cried; she started telling me how she found out that Fugaku disowned Itachi from the family for some reason but was kept secret from outsiders. Then he planned to take Suske and train him into a worthy successor. Since then, Fugaku has been teaching him, and Sasuke has changed. He even stopped calling her mother. I got angry when I heard that. Even though I was not a good child to my mother but I would never do that. Since coming here, I have started missing my parents more.

Naruto: It's unfortunate… I thought I could use Sasuke for myself; tho he had anger issues in the cannon, he was easy to manipulate. But, unfortunately, now it will not be that easy.

" There there, Mikoto, I can't say that I feel you, but seeing you sad does hurt me. Where is my ~Ara ~Ara-chan ??? Where was the sadistic Mikoto when she was training Hinata? If it's causing you more problems at home, you can come live with me. Sasuke was probably mad that I was better than in classes. Just give him some time to mature, and he will know how important you are to him. I don't mind you coming over since I get lonely sometimes, even with Nori around." As I am rubbing her back to calm her down.

Mikoto finally calmed down and gave me the most mesmerizing smile. She then replied

Mikoto: " Thank you, Naruto, and you truly have grown, even taking advantage of a crying wife?? Ufufuf… Yes, I will move here for some time to relax."

We talked about some random things and went to bed early. I knew that because of me, Fugaku changed, but I didn't care about that time, but now I am feeling different.

I realized that I am treating everyone as pawns or NPCs… I have thought that I transmitted to this world and am a foreigner. I know now that it's not true. Yes, I am not from this universe, but I was born here and recovered my memories at 5. I need to consider this as my world. I need to leave some legacy for my future generation and be more ruthless and outgoing. Suddenly I felt something lifted from my body and mind.

I looked at the woman sleeping next to me with a small smile. I unconsciously smiled back. Mikoto left the next day to pack her clothes. I thought she would come back on the same day, but she didn't. I waited and waited, it had been two days, and I hadn't heard back from her. So I didn't leave Nori since I thought she would come back soon.

On the third day, I asked Sasuke in school about how her mother was doing. He got angry and said, "that bitch traitor deserved it." If Hinata didn't hold back and my gamer mind didn't kick in, I would have trashed him and beat him to a pulp. Hinata was also mad and worried since I told her Mikoto was moving in without going into detail.

Forth day, I didn't have school today. I was more worried about Mikoto. It's so irritating what I am feeling since I am not in control. I know what I am feeling; even Hinata noticed my uneasiness in school. Suddenly I heard a knock. I was careless; I was not aware of my surroundings. I sensed it was Mikoto, but she wore a veil that covered and eyes leaving only her mouth, and was with an Anbu.

When I opened the door, I saw Mikoto standing outside with the same warm smile I first saw her. The Anbu left her luggage inside and left. I noticed Mikoto was walking strangely; she was bumping into everything, which would have been funny under normal circumstances.

Naruto: I don't know why, but I have a terrible feeling " Hello, Mikoto. Why are you wearing a veil? Is this a new trend?? Haha ?" As I am lighting in the mood and laughing awkwardly.

She then removed her veil, and what I saw horrified me. Mikoto's eyes were removed, and she had a bandage around her bloody empty eyes. From seeing her, I got angry... and furious.

" Who did it?" She tried to calm me down, but it made me angrier, thinking who could do it to her

" I SAID WHO DID IT" I subconsciously realized Kuruma's chakra from my chakra. Then, I sensed some Anbu rushing in.

My anger calmed down when Mikoto hugged me. I felt my shoulders wet. She was probably worried about me and crying.

" I am sorry for yelling at you, Mikoto, but can you sit down and let's talk?"

I sensed the Anbu stopped and returned to their duties to inform the Hokage. I suddenly felt someone was looking at me, but I sensed no one near me and realized that the Hokage was probably using his crystal since he occasionally uses it. So I have to be cautious about what I say. So I told her we would talk later and let her rest, and I would help put all the luggage.

When I felt the spying feeling was gone, I checked around with my Kagura eye for any seals since I could sense chakra in those seals. Then, I sat down with Mikoto. She started talking about how after she left, she told Fugaku that she was moving away for some time and would be coming back and hoped he could take care of Sasuke, but Fagaku neither showed signs of stopping her nor replied, and he just nodded and then left. After she packed up her things, she arrived outside. She saw Fagaku and clan elders, and start they were demanding her eyes since he was leaving the compound and made up some excuses to remove her eyes. She felt sad when she heard that, so she looked at her husband for final support, but he shrugged his shoulders and looked at her without any emotions. She finally looked at her baby boy Sasuke. He was staring at her with hatred. She realized she didn't see her baby boy in Sasuke anymore, and tears formed in her eyes and finally nodded her head, and they took her to the clan's hospital to remove her eyes. That's why it took her to thrid days to come.

After hearing her story, Naruto was sad; no, it was not fake but genuine sadness, and he realized the cruelty of the weak. He stood up, walked up to her, and hugged her.

Naruto: I am indeed becoming soft. Just this one, I am helping Mikoto, and maybe It will even look good on my karma CV *chuckles*.

" Don't worry, Mikoto. I am here for you, and I won't let anything happen to you again. Hinata and I will be there for you."

Naruto felt something bit his leg when he saw an angry Nori glaring at him for forgetting him and started rubbing Mikoto, indicating he was also there for her. Which caused Mikoto and me to chuckle, and the soon depressing environment disappeared.

When I heard her explanation, I noticed a few holes; I knew she hid a few things for my safety. However, when I checked her emotions, I noticed a budding love when I said my words that but soon covered by gratitude. Which further made me think about her. I know Hinata's feelings for me, and I plan to accept at the end of the graduation as her reward, but what about Mikoto?... I will leave it to the future me, I suppose.

Naruto: Old man, if I find any of your schemes here, I will show you the anger of an Uzumaki.
