24 Chapter 21: Crew Organization (2)

Author's POV.

"I'll have to stage a little comedy to push him to awaken twice, but if it succeeds, I'll have a non-negligible element," Hanju thought with a cunning smile that only made the people around him more confused.

"So do you have an idea for the main business of our crew? Or are we sticking with drugs?" Euijin Kyung asked with a strange look hidden behind his black glasses.

"Yes, we're going to become a lending company," Hanju said nonchalantly as if he hadn't just dropped a bombshell.

"But boss, the current companies?" Daniel asked, perplexed by the sudden information.

"Too risky to get caught with the police, but with the method I'm going to put in place, we won't risk anything," Hanju explained, thinking of Eli Jang's method during his stay with the Wokers.

"But I'll be less cruel than him, or else I'll face constant rebellions from new annexed members," Hanju thought, remembering the case of Hudson Ahn.

"It's good to lend money, but can't they just run away?" Seonwoo Ha said, slightly doubtful.

"Do you know the origin of the 4 major crews in Seoul?" Hanju asked everyone present.

"No, we don't, although I know some former members of the God Dog crew, they avoid talking about the reason for the formation of their crew," Euijin Kyung said, frowning.

"It's something that has always bothered me, but since I couldn't get reliable information about them, I just gave up," Euijin Kyung thought with a sigh.

"So let me explain to you where the major crews and also God Dog who reigned over the Gangbuk come from," Hanju declared, taking a few breaths from his cigarette before releasing the smoke.

Everyone present had a surprised expression in response to Hanju's declaration.

"First of all, the major crews wouldn't exist if someone hadn't intervened in the shadows," he explained casually.

"Each current major crew didn't become one for pleasure, but their boss was forced," Hanju said calmly, looking at each astonished face in the room.

"What do you mean?" Euijin Kyung asked, surprised by the unexpected news he had just heard.

It wasn't just him, but all the executives of Hanju's crew were mostly shocked by the news.

To them, people like Johan and his equals who are the bosses of the other major crews are similar to monsters, but Hanju had just informed them that such monsters had been subjugated by an individual.

"I'll tell you more about the information on the major crews and this person another time."

"The importance now about the major crews is how they obtained money and how they sent that money to their tormentor," Hanju said, observing the faces of everyone in the room.

Hanju began to explain the method of obtaining money from the other crews and how Gun and Charl Choi received the money without getting caught while ensuring their safety if the 4 major crews were caught by the police.

"The person who devised this system is monstrous," Seonwoo Ha said with admiration.

"I'm counting on you to implement this system within our organization. I don't want the mistake of a low-ranking idiot to cause us trouble later," Hanju declared.

Everyone in this room quickly nodded their heads.

Hanju discussed other small details with the "brains" of Gangbuk North to perfectly adapt the systems of the 4 major crews to their organization.

When Hanju wanted to leave the place, he was surprisingly intercepted by Taeho Cheon, who seemed a bit ill at ease.

"Before your departure, boss, I wanted to know if our crew will have a new name?" Taeho Cheon asked, scratching his head, embarrassed by his question.

After listening to him, Hanju also realized that he was still using the name Gangbuk North for his crew, even though he already controlled all the districts.

"I think we'll use another name later since our current name doesn't include our new members and doesn't give them a sense of belonging," Hanju replied, throwing away the rest of his cigarette as he left the room.

...

Author's POV (Gangbuk North after Hanju's departure)

"So Daniel, what do you think of the new boss?" Jeongdu asked calmly, having remained silent for a good while.

"I think he's more competent than expected, Hanju has changed a lot and not just his strength," Daniel replied, staring at the ceiling light, clearly lost in thought.

"What do you think about the other major crews?" Seonwoo Ha asked, looking around him.

"I know Hanju is strong, but the individual who was able to master Johan and the other major crew bosses must be monstrous, right?" he continued his remarks.

"What do you mean, Seonwoo?" Sigyeong Ryu questioned, slightly unconcerned with his surroundings, too busy opening a candy.

"I mean it's highly likely that we'll end up like Johan and the other crews; we'll have to face forces that surpass us," Seonwoo explained, staring at everyone present after Hanju's departure.

"I understand your concern, Seonwoo, but I know Hanju's potential better than anyone, and I even underestimated it."

Daniel finally opened his mouth to interrupt Seonwoo's remarks, which, in his opinion, questioned Hanju's abilities a bit too much.

"I understand that you trust Hanju, but Seonwoo's remarks are relevant; we risk facing a monster soon," Eunhyeong Ji declared, adjusting his glasses.

"I think the money proposed by Hanju isn't enough to face the monster he described," Minu Do said with a carefree look, content with the money that came out of nowhere since when Hanju was present, he behaved properly.

*Bam*

Jintae Heo's desk was destroyed, drawing the gaze of everyone present towards him.

"Do you have something to say, Jintae Heo?" Eunhyeong Ji asked, frowning at his hierarchical superior.

"YOU ARE COWARDS," Jintae Heo shouted, looking at the people present with contempt.

"Hanju was able to beat Johan, he was able to beat that bastard Choyun and even confront us at the same time," he said quickly, taking a pause to stare at each seated person.

"But you're still afraid with a boss like that?" Jintae asked.

"Hahaha," Taeho Cheon burst out laughing.

"What's so funny, Taeho Cheon?" he said in an annoyed voice.

"Excuse me, it's just that I didn't think we'd agree with each other because of your usual contemptuous way of seeing things," Taeho Cheon replied honestly.

"Did you hear that? Hanju has already accomplished a lot of feats in a short time, so why hesitate to fight with him?" Taeho Cheon declared vigorously.

"I also think the boss can lead us really far," Euijin Kyung declared.

"Those who disagree can always flee to other cities or districts," he continued, looking for discontented voices.

"As if anyone here would be crazy enough to defy a madman like Hanju by leaving the crew now," Sigyeong Ryu said.

At these words, no one could contradict him, although they feared this mysterious person, they still didn't know him, but Hanju did.

...

Author's POV (Back to Hanju)

"What a crazy day, not only did I fight Johan, but I also had to deal with an angry Hansu," he thought, taking a shower.

"It seems I have unread messages," Hanju thought, looking at his phone as he left the shower.

It was nothing important, at least according to Hanju.

"Soha Yang and Dahyeon Kim seem to want to see me."

Hanju couldn't hide the smile forming on his lips.

"Being in this fictional world isn't so bad, aside from the hellish training and superhuman teenagers," he thought mentally before realizing how farcical this universe was.

Author's Note: The next chapters will be a bit relaxed 😏 and if not, be cursed university (I hate this prison).

I should also watch some romance anime to help with one of my current writing weaknesses🥲.
