1 Awaking

It was the festive season of Christmas and the celebrations had begun everywhere in the country. Trees were decorated with bows, ribbons, and bells.

Christmas songs lit up the town spirit. It was the time awaited all year long, the time for families to catch up and share gifts and presents with each other.

The mood of the people was happy and friends gathered around to celebrate.

In all the excitement for Christmas. Somewhere in the ancestral home of the most influential family in the city, out in the outskirts of the town. A dark mist was forming from the ground as the spell was breaking. Something dark was awakening from the ground.

The birds flew away feeling the dark aura of whatever was waking up in the area. Deep into the unexplored parts of the caves underneath the mansion a coffin opened.

A beautiful girl was sleeping inside the coffin, her body was as pale as death. She lay with her eyes closed. Her thin lips pressed together tightly.

Her shoulder-length hair was combed in place, and her black gown was with a little dirt but other than that, she seemed peaceful.

Her eyes opened, and she squinted her eyes to adjust to the darkness around her. After a few minutes, her eyes were able to see through the darkness.

She moved her hand, her stomach growled. She had not eaten in a long time and she was hungry. The veins in her eyes darkened as she was thinking about food. She wanted food and nothing else.

Sitting up from her coffin, she looked around to see where she was. She got up from the coffin to find her way out and get food.

Her fangs had formed, and her nose could smell human blood not too far from where she was. Her body trembled with excitement as she thought of the meal that was awaiting her.

She moved in a flash and stood right below the human whose blood she was smelling. She frowned seeing as she was under so much land. The tunnels were too old and rusty making her nauseous.

That was not her type of place. She was not a fan of such a dirty place. She folded her hand into a fist and punched her way from the tunnels to the ground above.

She jumped in one swift movement and stabilized herself on land.

"Arghhh," The woman that saw her let out a scream before running away.

"I love it when I have to chase my food," she uttered coldly.

She raced after the startled woman. The blood pumping in the woman's veins only went to increase her hunger and thirst for the blood. She was going to have fun digging her fangs into her neck.

In no time she had caught up with the woman and pressed her against a tree. The woman went pale seeing as the creature had caught her. She couldn't muster the courage to scream.

It would be pointless too seeing as there was no one around. "Relax, this will end soon," Eisha let out.

The woman relaxed and settled down. The vampire smiled seeing as her compulsion still worked. It was one of the skills that she loved about who she was. Having to be able to get everyone to do as she wanted.

She pushed the woman's hair out of the way and dug her fangs into her neck. She sucked her blood to fill the hunger in her stomach.

"Mmmh," she let out enjoying how good the woman's blood tasted. She felt alive after such a long time and it was an amazing feeling.

She held on to the woman tightly as she sucked all the blood from her vein. The woman trembled in her arms as every ounce of blood in her body was sucked away by the vampire.

Eisha moved back and dropped the woman when she fed to her full. She wiped her mouth of the blood of the woman and took a moment to relax.

She took a deep breath, she stretched her arms and feet. She had been asleep for too long that her body was feeling numb. The meal had given her some strength to go on for a while.

She recalled the last thing that had happened before she went to sleep. The witch that had locked her coffin had told her that she would wake up at a time when no one knew her.

In a few years, the number of years wasn't specified so she wasn't sure where or when she was. She started walking in the direction of the bright light that she saw.

The lights looked beautiful from where she was and only went to look more alluring the closer she got. It was nothing like she had ever seen before, her heart skittered with excitement as she thought of the possibilities that such a place held for her.

No one hunting her to kill her. No witches ganging up together to end her immortality and no foolish rivals trying to outshine her.

It was her chance to start afresh. Her new beginning and it was all hers. "I am going to have lots of fun," she thought.

Moving at the speed of lightning, she made it to the city in minutes. She froze when cars drove past her, as she had never seen such things, they terrified her.

The more she stood the bigger the strange creatures (cars) seemed to get.

"What sorcery is this?" she questioned herself.

Fear had made its way into her cold heart. She was unaware of anything from this time and it freaked her out. She looked up and saw a billboard with a welcoming sign.

"Welcome to R City," she read.

She swallowed hard. The whole place was giving her the creeps, she took a deep breath to calm her nerves and took the first steps to the city. Her heart was pounding very hard, she could only imagine what new magic was in the strange time she woke up and how it would affect her.

She was a true vampire and she was not afraid of change. No matter what came her way in this new place, she was going to face it all and emerge victoriously.

"I will soon rule this place," she vowed. She took slow steps into the city, taking the time to think of what to expect from the new place.

Her pale body had a little bit of color to them from the blood that she had drunk. But she was still a little tired.
