Starred Up

Deen, a seven year old boy, arrives in Korea with his mother Mia. With a strong determination to raise her son properly, Mia ensures Deen lacks no love in his life. In her spare time, Mia is a huge fangirl of the Korean boy group, TNT. But in an unexpected twist of fate, the mother-son duo end up being the neighbors of D3, another legendary boy group, which happens to be TNT's biggest rival. D3 consists of the short tempered Taewon, gentle Joon Jae and the goofy Jan. On top of that, Mia is hired as the personal designer for TNT, which consists of the charismatic leader Soo-Yon and the playboy maknae Cheng. Despite the rocky start, Mia and her son grow closer to all the members of both the groups. With time, the members realize they have fallen in love with the same woman, disrupting each group's dynamics. Furthermore, the origins of the hostility between the two groups resurface, making everyone involved question the decision they made a decade ago. As secrets unfold, the members vie for Mia's affections, Deen observes that she has eyes only for one of them. But which one of them will she choose? Taewon-Demon Girl

'GHOST! GHOST!' he screamed. 'HELP!'

The girl ran towards him at full speed.

'YOU THIEF!' She shrieked and tackled Jan to the ground. 'WHERE IS MY SON?' She hit him hard and held up his collar. I tried to lift her off Jan but she elbowed me hard. Pain surged through my stomach and I knelt on the floor. Joonjae tried to pull her off but she kicked his foot hard. Jan was yelling in pain. Why was this girl so damn strong?

'Mee!' A child came running out of the house. That distracted her. She staggered off Jan and ran towards the kid.

'Deen!' she cried. 'Are you alright? Are you hurt?'

'I'm fine, Mee,' the kid said. The girl seemed relieved to see the kid unhurt. Then she rounded on us. We were still reeling from the pain. For a small person, she was inhumanly strong.

'I AM GONNA CALL THE COPS RIGHT AWAY,' she yelled at us. That angered me. I struggled to get up.

'We should be the ones calling the cops!' I shot back. 'You stalked us didn't you?'

'Stalked you?' The girl asked incredulously. 'You're the one who broke into my house and threatened my child!'

'This is our house!' I shouted. It wasn't. But it was our escape pad. So the house was as good as ours.

'YOUR house? I paid the rent on it! We live here.'

'W-w-well,' I stuttered. I was really angry. How dare this girl take away our place? 'We were here before you. You leave.'

'That's it!' she exclaimed. 'I'm calling the cops.'

'Oh go ahead,' I said. 'I'll sue you for assault.'

'Go ahead,' she taunted. 'You thief!'

Thief? She dared to call me, Hong Taewon, a THIEF? I never felt such hatred for a person before.

'You,' I said leaning over her. 'Do you even know who you're dealing with?'

She leaned closer, with clear defiance in her eyes.

'I don't care,' she replied.

'You should,' Joonjae said in English from behind us. The girl frowned. The kid stood still behind his mother, looking from us to her. Joonjae limped forward and turned on the porch light.
