3 Trials Preparations Part 1

=Planet Fordes - Imperial Palace=

Vicarne followed by Rolo exited the shuttle first then everyone followed.

"Woah" Aganon was amazed by the sight of the grand palace that overlooks the city.

"Beautiful right? This place used to be more awe-inspiring but sometimes things don't last" Levy told aganon while trying to get to know him.

"What happened to father and uncle anyway? Why did they left or disappear?" Aganon asked.

"It's better if you ask them yourself" Levy replied.

After 10 mins, of walking and chatting, they finally reached the door to the throne room; the door was large and had this victorian design all over it, complete with white and gold paint.

Trumpets could be heard from the inside as the door opens, and the royal guards guarding the throne room lined up on each side of the pathway.

"Presenting to you your majesty, your long lost sons and your grandchild" Vicarne announced.

Arkan and Rasgar followed by Levy and Aganon went in the middle of the throne...

"Mother" Arkan and Rasgar Kneeled.

Levy noticing that Aganon was ignorant of the etiquette whispered to Aganon to kneel.

"Ehem (Cough)" Rasgar coughed to get Aganon's Attention.

"What?" Aganon whispered to Rasgar.

"Kneel you dolt" Rasgar whispered back.

After that small conversation, aganon knelt and the Empress started to speak...

"Welcome Back My Long Lost Sons and Welcome My Grandchild; while it might be inappropriate for this to ask now, why did you two hide? " The empress asked.

"This might be hard to explain but everyone who has mystic sense redirect it to the kid" Arkan replied.

As soon as they redirect their mystic sense on him, everyone was shocked to see this sight Aganon in their eyes is like a star releasing a lot of excess energy this shocked everyone in the room.

Before Everyone could speak, the Royal Guards Captain went in front of the empress and Knelt...

"Your Majesty, if i may suggest the young lord be trained in the ways of the knighthood and in the future he could lead our knights and army like an unstoppable force" Captain Cedric suggested.

And another general from the imperial military backed him up on this idea while an admiral opposed this saying they block the young lord's future option.

"Mother, This is exactly why we hid he could bring conflict to this court or even the empire and without proper guidance it might come to realization" Arkan explained to the court.

As soon as he said that everyone in the court agreed with what he said, they all decided to keep this fact a secret.

"While true this is a rare gift we cannot be careless or it might spell our doom as such we are now to raise him in the forderian way prepare him for the trial of ancestry" The empress commanded.

"But mother the trial will give more power that he can't control" Arkan replied,

"True but the trial of ancestry not only gives us powers of the mystics but also guidance from the ancient as you all know the sacred place where the trial is conducted is also a graveyard of ancient masters of the mystic" The empress replied.

While everyone is discussing the trials aganon whispered to levy...

"What is the trial of ancestry" aganon asked whispering to levy.

Levy was shocked that his uncles did not teach him the forderian culture but he also remembered that his cousin wasn't raised on fordes to let his anger go and explain to him.

"The trials is a passage rite for every citizen of fordes to access the power of their ancient blood simply speaking you will merge a part of your self to the planet and in return the planet will give you the powers of the mystic" Levy explained.

"Where is it held?" aganon asked.

"It's in an ancient temple that emanates mystic energy" Levy replied.

"Also i don't mean to be rude but why is our grandmother from a different species while we are humans?" aganon asked.

"(sigh) forderian isn't a species it's a culture that spanned back millennia everyone can be a forderian as long as he or she embraces our way of life" Levy replied.

"Also our grandma is an Evox a species that can live longer than average humans also the species that started this culture, you'll learn about it later" Levy added.

Levy showed a datapad that contains information about the evox to aganon.

Evox are humanoid species with either green or blue skin, large black eyes they are also amphibious and can live longer than other species.

While the empress and the court are finalizing the plans for the young lord the empress noticed the curiosity of aganon.

"My child you are curious about your family and race yes?" the empress asked aganon.

"I am and I'd be happy to learn all I can about our rich history" aganon replied.

"Good...Vicarne find this child a suitable tutor and trainer please" the empress asked.

"Yes, your majesty" Vacarne replied.

"While this is good and all but I imagine you are tired, Rolo please lead him to my estate and Admiral Levy you stay I need to discuss somethings with you" the empress commanded.

"Hehehe...Grandma can you let me go on this one" Levy begged.

"No...Guards! Please take her away to my private chambers" the empress replied.

"Nooo!!!" The royal guards drag her away while screaming.

Rolo leads Aganon out of the throne and gets some royal guards to escort them to the estate near the palace.

"Uhmm... Mr Rolo Can we please walk to the estate I would like to see the streets near the palace" Aganon requested.

"Well we can but the empress will be mad if she hears about this" Rolo replied.

"How about some other time I'll take you on a tour i promise" Rolo added.

"sure" Aganon replied.

The two boarded the shuttle and some royal guards and chatted on the way about the Forderian Culture.

Aganon learned two things on his conversation with the prime minister to have a title you have to earn it either by defeating the one with the title or by achieving merits to create a title also every forderian youngling like him will either choose to go to the Royal Academy or the Imperial Military Academy that's the only choice for forderian commoners. Still, for nobility there's another choice the prestigious Knight's Academy.

Aganon then again asked the prime minister the difference between the Imperial Military Academy and the Knight's Academy.

The prime minister told him that if you earn the rights of knighthood you will have a higher rank in the military higher than a general and if he earns a lot of prestige he could establish his own knight order.

"But Mr Rolo does knights have a lot of freedom on how they operate?" Aganon asked.

"Well yeah in a way but they are monitored by the Knight's Council on their respective activities" Rolo replied.

"Then can I qualify to be one?" Aganon asked.

"I don't know if you've heard earlier but the council and military recommended you to be a knight so good luck" Rolo replied.

The two continued to chat until they have arrived on the estate where the staff greets them.
