Chapter 22: Planning and Searching

"All of this knowledge, and it's still only a fraction of what you have, Your Highness?" Pansy asked once she was done with her turn in the Genetic Manipulation Device. He knew it was perfectly working; she wasn't angry at him for not mentioning the measures to ensure her and future members of the Magus Race's loyalty. The brainwashing in the Genetic Memory and the instinctual desire to serve a higher-ranked Magus encoded into the genetic code were working perfectly fine. After all, there is now a mental link that he could control between the two of them, and he always knew when she was lying.

"You can call me Harry or another endearing term you like in private. After all, you are my first imperial concubine, the first Magus Queen of the empire," he replied with a smile.

"Thank you, Harry. Now that you are able to trust me, will you tell me more about your plans? For example, what are you planning about the reproduction of our race? After all, with me as the only Queen Symbiote right now, I won't be able to keep up with the reproduction rate of the human race. And I don't want to be only a breeding stock; you obviously haven't designed our race in such a way. But the chance of me birthing another Queen is far too low," she asked him, after all, he designed the Magus Race with an imperial family at the top in mind.

"Oh, but aren't there enough of them out there?" He pointed at the sky. "We just need to find some 'volunteers' to join our glorious empire. It's time to build our power base; with it, we can surely set up some 'negotiations.' Have you forgotten one of the latest reports of the SGC? Hathor is in a similar position as us. She will be open to an alliance. After all, she was also an enemy of Ra and has similar foes that would oppose her."

Pansy pouted a bit. "Already looking for more concubines. But it makes sense. Do you have already a planet in mind to build our domain from?"

"There are a few things limiting our possibilities. It can't be under a too strong owner like one of the System Lords. The planet needs to have at least Naquadah so we can begin to construct advanced ships and technology. Naquadriah, Trinium, Neutronium, or other advanced minerals would be also nice, but considering their rarity, it will be unlikely to even find two deposits of them on the same planet. Also, preferably, the planet needs to have a human population, so it needs to be a Goa'uld world, maybe one they forgot," was the summary of an optimal planet Harry could give.

"Any luck in finding one?"

"Not yet. I used the Chair's connection to the Stargate to monitor the Gate Network. I am keeping an eye on the gate activity of any worlds that, according to the Ancient Knowledge, have small to mid-sized Naquadah deposits. Especially the ones I know the Goa'uld populated with humans. I hope the ones with no or not a lot of gate activity will not be under the control of anyone," Harry explained.

"Why only up to mid-sized deposits?"

"Any planet with large deposits will be under the control of powerful System Lords," was the simple reply.

"What about Atlantis? It may be the oldest City-Ship, and its technology outdated in comparison to the newer ones, but compared to anything the Goa'uld have, it should be enough to control and defend a planet. And even if it doesn't have a Molecular Constructor, it still has some older production capabilities, like the Nanite Creation Device, the automated Drone Production Facility, and some smaller laboratories with such capabilities," Pansy pointed out. She may not have the full knowledge of the Ancients, but she knew enough to know what was out there and what they could do. Alongside the basic Lantean education, until she decided on which field she would specialize.

"I've considered it. Our Potentia has enough power to build a Stargate connection with Atlantis. But that's only where the problems start. The City is on the floor of the ocean. If we don't disrupt the City, the shields will still hold for a few centuries. But as soon we make the connection, many systems will activate and drain the power of the Potentia. We will need at least another one to keep powering the shields as soon as we arrive or the ocean will destroy the City," Harry explained. "To fly the City from the Pegasus Galaxy, we need at least a second one, one to power the shields, the other for the hyperdrive. There are a few in Pegasus, but the chance of alarming the Wraith is quite high. And most importantly, as soon as we activate the City, it will send out the automatic callback signal, activating any ship to return to the City. Should one of these ships fall into the hands of the Wraith, they may learn how to create a hyperdrive capable of traveling between galaxies. The only thing stopping them from spreading out further, like here. We don't need such a powerful enemy right now. They are far more powerful than the Goa'uld."

"So we need more Potentia and ships to get to any ship that would be reactivated in the Pegasus Galaxy to prevent them from falling into the hands of the Wraith? Wait, I remember now. Wasn't there a full reserve Potentia here on Terra?" Pansy realized when she searched through the knowledge she had.

"I know. It was actually the one I hoped to find when I built the first sensor. But it isn't here anymore. Even with the better sensors of the outpost, all I could find is an old healing device for the Alteran physiology, which isn't of much use for us. It isn't here," sighed Harry. With it, he would have two Potentia, which would make things much easier.

"What could have happened to it?" she wondered.

"Well, there is only one thing I can think of. One of the Goa'uld must have found it and brought it somewhere. But I am positive that they don't know what it is, or their technology wouldn't be at the level the Tau'ri have observed. They must have thought it was a trinket or rare gem or something and taken it with them during the Rebellion. Who it was? I don't know," Harry replied.

"So what should we do?" she asked.

"Well, we have some time until I decide on a planet. It will be at least a few more weeks until I am relatively certain which ones are good options. There are two things we can do. Have you learned transmutation?" He asked as he walked closer to her.

Pansy nodded, "Yes, with the knowledge you gave me."

"Good, we can start creating tools for our people to use. Mining equipment, molecular smelteries, and forges, and so on. We will need them to get started. Transmutation is the best way to skip a few levels of technological advancement quickly."

"And the second thing?" she asked as he stood right in front of her.

He captured her beautiful pink lips and gave her a deep kiss. "Let's create some new Magus larvae, my love."
