16 Chapter 16: Strategy

"Are you sure we can't just create some Jaffa to follow us and take them down with force?" Pansy asked as she kneeled beside him, observing the compound, "I am able to produce new symbiotes, my king."

"No, the Jaffa is outdated. We don't need some inferior soldiers until we get good ones. And new symbiotes are, thanks to the genetic memory, a risk to us; after all, we can't control what knowledge we pass on. They receive all our knowledge; if the two of us were to create children right now, they would have all our knowledge," Harry pointed out with a particular look. He had no plan to share the knowledge Merlin had passed on without being able to control it. "They could even decide that we are no Goa'uld and rebel against us."

"But that won't change in the future either. All new symbiotes will have knowledge and could rebel against us. The Jaffa are at least reliant on us through the larvae that keep them alive, which only we can supply. Any other human or other race won't have such a level of control. Sure, we could use technology like a collar to control them, but they can be taken off with enough time," Pansy replied, unconvinced. She didn't have the knowledge he had.

"Oh, don't worry; we will be able to control the knowledge we pass on," Harry said while still searching for an entry point into Setesh's compound.

"You can?" She asked, bewildered. This was something many Goa'uld had attempted. After all, the Goa'uld, who loved to rule, once they figured out a way to immortality, there was no need for their children to have the same amount of power and knowledge as them, with the chance to backstab them. This was a useful trait for survival and the preservation of knowledge of a race, but not once you were technically immortal and each member of the race was a power-hungry parasite with a god complex.

"Yes, but that comes later. Right now, it's time to finish off Sethesh," he said, slightly annoyed about the distraction from their goal.

"I know, I know. Our whole conversation doesn't change the fact that he has a small army and there are only two of us. Sure, we can try the disillusionment plan, but we have no way to know where Sethesh is. One misstep, and he will sense us. And the sensors of Terra Atlantus may be powerful, but still not precise enough to tell us how far we and Setesh are away from each other," Pansy pointed out, "so it would be up to luck."

"Yes, luck is a needed part of our plan. But we can maximize our chances." Harry said, "If Sethesh hasn't changed, there should be a tunnel into the compound. It should be deep enough that he won't sense us if he isn't directly above us. With the disillusionment charm, his followers won't spot us with common security means."

"And the only way we are unlucky is if he stands directly above us or on the other side of the tunnel." Realization on her face.

Harry nodded. "And if something should go wrong, I can always figure it out."

"Of course. Wait, you?" she asked, confused.

"You are Plan B. If something should go wrong and I have to figure it out, I want you to drop the Naquadah bomb, which we prepared just in case, onto the compound. This is a tracking transmitter connected to the ship. You will see if I am out; I will report to the ship if I succeed in the mission. If not, I will appear somewhere else." Harry explained calmly.

"But I want to be there. I need to see Sethesh die." She pouted.

"I know, but this is the best way. Don't repeat the mistakes of the Goa'uld and become arrogant. A plan B is the safe thing to do." Harry shut her complaints down.

"Okay, I will do it. But we need to get servants for our cause as soon as possible. I want to be by your side next time. I am your queen." Pansy requested that having to do everything by themselves, even minor tasks, was tiring.

Harry gave in, offering her an alternative: "We can try to recruit the Jaffa from a minor Goa'uld. They already have symbiotes without our knowledge. We may not have a way to replenish their forces, but they can serve us and follow our command, being already believers that the Goa'uld are gods. With our powers, it should be easy to convince them. Especially from a minor one."

That succeeded in convincing her. Pansy positioned the cloaked ship above the compound, while Harry used his superhuman powers and control over zero-point energy to locate the entrance of the tunnel. In truth, Harry didn't need Plan B. It was just a pretense to get Pansy to return to the ship because he didn't trust her fully. He simply doesn't want to reveal what he can really do.

Harry is a wizard, a mutated race, mixed from human and ancient physiology. He already had enhanced powers in his base form. Then he received the knowledge of the Ancients; the amount of knowledge was so great that it didn't only fill his brain with information but also forcefully evolve it from its base form near the state of an almost-ascended being.

With the Goa'uld symbiote and the Naquadah in his blood, he should be stronger than a near-ascended ancient. In a one-on-one fight, the only thing that should be a threat to him was an ascended being.

Of course, advanced technologies, big weaponry, ships, armies, or powerful natural disasters are still a threat to him. He isn't really immortal after all or a god yet. Only a powerful mortal with powers closing in on an ascended being.

Powers that he hadn't fully tried out yet. He needed experience using them. And he would get that experience today. But he doesn't need Pansy to know what he truly can do—at least not yet. Until he knows that he can trust her, And this will only happen once he takes the necessary steps soon. For now, he had to watch for backstabbing.

Opening the entrance to the tunnel, Harry turned himself invisible. Not disillusioned, he willed himself into invisibility. The combination of his understanding of magic and the understanding of the Ancients over the universe allowed him far greater feats than just his regular spells.

He could completely conceal the presence of the Naquadah in his blood with just his will and make him unseen to the naked eye. Realizing that the magical world had studied a completely different aspect of the natural laws of the universe, he knew he had to study their knowledge on a deeper level.

All the knowledge that could deepen his powers even further was too good to pass on. He already had a few ideas on how to improve certain magics that could be really useful to him, but he had to do a bit of research first. His ideas were a bit dangerous, and he wasn't sure of the side effects yet. He had a lot of ideas; since his brain was so well enhanced, it was always active and thinking about many different ideas. Harry just doesn't have the facilities or time right now to work on them all.
