After the events of the invasion of Naboo, all knew that war was inevitable. None knew when yet fear of being unready set them to do all they could. Battle droids that were cheap and easy to manufacture, would form the bulk of their army.

In 38 BBY behind the scenes of all Darth Sidious or what most people knew him as Sheev Palpatine turned into a father. The one-night stand gave birth to a half- human and half-Sith baby boy.

Palpatine looked down disgusted at its mere existence. It's mother already laid lifeless still on her birthing bed after he had electrocuted her to death in a fit of rage.

At this time, he was elected Supreme Chancellor as the result of a Vote of No Confidence due to the Invasion. Certainly, securing his second identity to the world.

Being the father to Sith? It dreamed impossible if Palpatine wanted to keep his Dark Sidious identity hidden, but as he looked into the crying baby's eyes his anger rose again. He used the force to block the baby's airflow. Suffocating him. The nursing droids and others all looked on silently not to dare say a word in protest in fear.

He killed the boy and tossed it to the side like a doll before dramatically throwing his cape over himself and leaving the room. The droids under his instruction disposed of him quickly by throwing the baby into a sewer system

Not expecting to someday be regretting that option.

'WAHHHHHHAHHAHH

HHAHHHH WAHHAHHHHAH.' The boy cried once awake. Most passed by the crying baby ignoring it, but one took him in. She herself once having her own baby, but unfortunately miscarried. So, as she saw the baby going down the water, she saw it as a gift from God after he'd taken her own.

As the boy got older in her care that he'd call mother there was one thing he hated more than his own father. The Jedi. Everyday she'd return home with several bruises and injuries. Once when Baul followed her to see what'd happen. He had learned it was a jedi who'd put them on her.

"Whatcha up to little Baul?" The neighborhood old man asked looking at the boy who peeked his head around the corner of his garage.

"W-Will you take me to the Jedi's headquarter? I- I have a complaint." He nervously asked constantly peeking behind him.

"Does your mother know you're here with me now?" He asked already knowing the answer by the way he acted.

"No, sir but I want to t-this because it'll help us both. So – so she doesn't have to hurt anymore."

"Oh. It about him isn't it."

"Y- Yes, sir."

"*sigh boy. I can't."

"Pl- Please y- you know what's been happening. I know you do."

"Alright…. alright go tell your mom you and I are going to the city. You don't have to say the headquarters, but if she asks just say shopping, Alright?" He surrendered.

"Yes. Thank you. Thank you, Uncle Maadj."

Baul's mother didn't ask many questions as Baul was energetically explained he'll be out with uncle for a bit. When he got back Uncle gave him a helmet and got into his vehicle. To at least enjoy the ride, Uncle had explained all the major sights to the boy as they drove past them.

At last, they arrived at a large temple like building with statues in front, and multiple people coming in and out of its entrance in a hurry.

Uncle Maadj told him he'd wait in the car having a bad run with them in the past without protest Baul looked around as he climbed the endless stairs. "What brings you here kid?" The jedi temple guard asked as he reached for the door. "I- I'd like to report a complaint…about someone who works here."

"Pfft get out of here kid."

"b- But he's really hurting my mom. I- I read that jedi aren't supposed to have spouses. He- He's breaking the rules and hurting her!" He tried to say calmly, but their expressions weren't taking him serious at all.

"Go home." One of them spoke sternly. Suddenly a green old weird elf creature in tan robes came out the building and glanced their way. Both guards straightened up real quick with their weapons in correct positioning.

It slowly made its way to them. 'Strong force you have, name I must seek."

Baul opened his mouth in question not understanding anything the green man had said. Witnessing the tall brown skinned adult male human next to him also in tan robes explained for the boy.

"What is your name, boy?"

"Baul sirs, but I have not come to tell you all my name. There is a Jedi breaking your rules who must deal with. HE is hurting HER!" He said getting frustrated with everyone.

"Tell, you must. Then not seek but hear."

"Little green man you're speaking riddles that I do not understand. I am trying to explain that you must save my mother before it is too late."

"Speak in respect. It is best if you go home and cool down before returning."

"I can't. You must save her now."

The man shook his head before signaling to a guard to take Bual off the property. One of them took his forearm before dragging him along as Baul resisted and cursed the two men in tan robes.

When Uncle witnessed, he ran up the stairs to get the boy free and cursing them too, saying how he was just a child and no need for such force as some bruises slowly started to become visible around his wrists.

On Bual's return to his home after another hour out as uncle Maadj tried to cheer up the boy. When he entered the door, his mother laid face flat in the ground. Bual ran back out to stop uncle from leaving.

He called for a medical vehicle, but it was too late. She survived yet she was now blind and refused to say a word to either of them. Even to her crying son who begged her to say at least one word of comfort. He was only six after all.
