The Sith always betray one another... I'm sure you'll learn that soon enough. The overthrow of the Republic is complete. The Separatist forces have been smashed, the Jedi Council nearly decimated, and the rest of the Order all but destroyed. Now absolute power rests in the iron fist of Darth Sidious- the cunning Sith lord better known as the former Senator, now Emperor, Palpatine. But more remains to be done. Pockets of resistance in the galaxy must be still be defeated and missing Jedi accounted for... and dealt with. These crucial tasks fall to the Emperor's ruthless enforcer, Darth Vader. In turn, the Dark Lord has groomed a lethal apprentice entrusted with a top secret mission to comb the galaxy and dispatch the last of his master's enemies, thereby punctuating the dark sides victory with the Jedis doom. Since childhood, Vader's nameless agent has known only the cold, mercenary creed of the Sith. His past void, his present, the carrying out of his deadly orders. But his future beckons like a glistening black jewel with the ultimate promise to stand by the only father he has ever known, with the galaxy at their feet. It is a destiny he can realize only by rising to the greatest challenge of his discipleship, destroying Emperor Palpatine. The apprentice's journeys will take him across the far reaches of the galaxy, from the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk, and to the planet of Naboo, and to the home planet of the Jedi Coruscant, and the home planet of Luke Skywalker Tatooine, and last but not least Kamino. On these missions, the young Sith apprentice will forge an unlikely alliance with one of Emperor Palpatine's Hands and wrestle his feelings for her, Mara Jade. And he will be tested as never before- by shattering revelations that strike at the very heart of all believes and stir within him long- forgotten hope's of reclaiming his name... and changing his name.
Chapter one:
Boom! A shot blows up the ground near the Dark Lord, but Vader doesn't flinch unlike the men beside him..It had been a week ago since he received the order to liberate the planet of Raven 5 and a boring week it been. The Rebels here didn't give much a fight nor did the people that lived on the planet. He had not had a real challenge in five years. He at least wished he could receive information from his old Master maybe that would be an interesting fight. He decided to leave his ship and wait for the call that the battle was finished. But before he could a Stormtrooper walked up beside him.
My Lord we have captured a boy. Said the Stormtrooper. Vader was a bit ticked off that the soldier had stopped him for such unimportant news. And why should this information be consulted with me? Asked Vader.
Because before we could capture him he took down ten of our troops. Replied the Stormtrooper. Vader was taken back a bit. How old is this boy? He asked.
He looks to be around seven or eight sir. Replied the Stormtrooper. Now things started to get interesting. Where is he being held now? Asked Vader.
In cell block A-14 my Lord, the Stormtrooper responded. As Darth Vader walked towards the cell he wondered if he could be the son of a Jedi. If he was than maybe he could be turned so that he would serve the Empire. If he was really great he could become one of the Emperor's Hand's. If not then he would kill him where he stands.
As the door opened he saw a little boy crouching in the corner. Chains were tied around him probably to keep him under control. Certainly this was not the boy that they were talking about. He looked like he could barely kill one trooper let alone ten. He had brown hair, and brown eyes, and was hardly fit to be a warrior. He turned to look up and stared at him. He didn't look afraid of him. In fact even though he was looking at him his mind was someplace else. Vader could feel the anger and hatred within him not towards him but someone else. There will be no need those. With a wave of Vader's hand the chains fell to the floor. He still said or did nothing but look at him.
Vader walks towards him and gets almost right above him and says. Give me one reason why I shouldn't destroy you. That would put fear in the boy he thought. Yet he still did nothing. After what seemed like hours he finally opened his mouth to speak. If I were only stronger I could have killed them all. When he said that Vader thought he saw himself when he was young and naive. Vader took his saber from his belt. You are quite interesting boy that is why I will give you a choice. Either grab my hand and be released from this cell or grab the hilt of this lightsaber and be killed. Said Darth Vader. The boy reaches up and slowly touches the saber. You have made a wise decision. Said the Dark Lord of the Sith.
