Chapter 91

Jial called all the Class 1 officers into a meeting room.

Class 1 was the highest rank in the Yautja military and there were only 15 in total. Most positions were based on the Spheres on Influence from the Sith Empire with a few added ones he felt the Sith had missed out on.

"Give me an update," he told them, curious as to what was going on

One man stood up. He was the Minister of their intelligence network.

"We have determined that there have been no leaks on our side or from the Nabooians. It seems that this is more of a show of Force from the Trade Federation and them looking for someone to blame."

That was what Jial had expected. The inner council of a Naboo ruler were absolutely loyal to them and would never disobey their king or queen.

As for the chance that the Yautja had leaked the information, that was even less likely. Gunray was extracted in a private gunship amd was held there until he reached Yautja Prime.

There wasn't a chance for anyone except for Nott and her people to know he had arrived and he truly trusted them.

"Any word from our vassals and allies?"

"We have word that the Trade Federation has tried to cut off normal deliveries but thanks to our own merchant fleets and the Exchange, we have only lost about .032 percent in revenue through trade but none of them have been greatly affected."

The Minister of Production and Logistics had been fully prepared for such a case.

The Yautja continued their deal with the Trade Federation only because it did not affect them much but they had been prepared to break off from them for years.

"Then how are we planning to respond?"

"Same as always," Suxon stood up. He was Minister of Military Defense and commanded defensive operations of Yautja space.

"We give them one chance to leave before we respond with aggressive force. I already have the fleet ready to engage with then and ambush points have been set up.

Thanks to our improved Gravity Wells, it would take them months to reach Yautja Prime since they can only perform small jumps.

All the time needed to slowly wear them down with hit and run tactics until they have no choice but to die by our hands."

Jial tapped on the table when he heard Suxon's words. The others waited in silence, none of them daring to interrupt his thoughts.

"No. We won't go with that," Jial informed them

"We would sustain some losses fighting that way. Get the M.D.D to one of the planned ambush points and fire it if they take one centimeter into Yautja Space."

The others were surprised that Jial wanted to use that weapon. It was their most classified weapon and greatest Trump card.

"Lord Jial. I suggest we rethink this. If word gets out-"

"If word gets out that means that it would have been leaked by one of you. Because only you know that we have such a weapon and if used, it would eliminate their entire fleet."

The M.D.D. was the best weapon they had for defense in Yautja Space. If it had one weakness, it was that it could not travel through Hyperspace due to the nature of the weapon.

"I understand, Lord Jial."

"I shall go and speak with the Trade Federation and let them know we do not have Gunray and inform them that they we be met with hostile Force is they proceed," the Minister of Diplomacy and Expansion spoke up

"Good. Just let me know if they accept or not later. No need for another meeting," Jial dismissed them

The others filed out of the room with only Nott, Boxe, and Mira standing inside. They commanded the Sphere of Mysteries, Military Offense, and Military Strategy respectively.

"We are ready to launch the strikes at the storage facilities whenever you command," Mira told him

"Good. Hold off for now," Jial had been them prelare for this since they had first taken Gunray. He knew there was a chance the Trade Federation would try something bold.

"If they don't back off, start the assault after they have been trapped here for a bit. Don't give them a chance to respond."

"Understood," the three stood and walked out the room together

Jial was the last to leave the room the briefing room.

'Is this another Sidious scheme? Or have the Trade Federation grown some balls? Or even worse, do they think that we have simply grown weak in all these years because we used diplomacy to expand instead of war?'

Just like what Jial had expected, the Trade Federation backed down when the Yautja refused to admit that they had Gunray.

The Trade Federation had no solid proof so they had no legitimacy to promote a blockade nor could they do such a massive blockade.

To try and blockade all of Yautja would take over 5,000 battleships to block off the entire sector. Even the Trade Federation didn't have a fleet that large.

So they retreated and went back into hiding for several more months. Their next move was something even greater.

They sent the Jedi.

When personally trying to force answers out if the Yautja didn't work, they went with the one method that had forced the Yautja to act before. They appealed to the Senate.

It had taken them a few months to respond and they couldn't do anything major without proof but the Palpatine did decide to send the Jedi as ambassadors to try and get an understanding of the situation.

And they had sent Jial's worst enemy on the Jedi Council, Master Plo Koon as well as his niece, Sha Koon.

He was humble, polite, stubborn, and difficult. A man of contradictions but in a way that everyone could understand.

So when the Kel Dor Uncle-Niece duo landed, Jial greeted him with a frown and a hug.

"So they sent their best negotiator," Jial laughed as he released the smaller Jedi

"Sha-Sha. You've grown. I hear you've recently been promoted to Knight."

Sha Koon smiled mentally, her mouth covered by her breathing mask and her eyes covered by special goggles.

Many were put off by the appearance of Kel Dor since they looked far more alien than most species but Jial didn't mind their looks.

Having been around Yautja Purebloods, he had seen his fair share of humanoid but very alien looking species so he never cared for their looks.

Because he didn't mind their looks and was even willing to provide a space with similar atmosphere for them on Yautja Prime and in his area on Coruscant, Jial and the Yautja were very popular among the Kel Dor.

"I have, Uncle Jial. It is thanks to you and Aunt Talon helping me. I've been able to improve so much," Sha Koon thanked him sincerely.

She was able to visit the Grand Colosseum freely and that helped her improve her training speed much faster than other Padawans.

"That was all on you. We just provided you an opportunity. You took it and made the improvements yourself."

Jial wouldn't take credit for her hard work. She had improved with very little guidance from them.

Plo Koon pretended to cough at the side.

"If you're done trying to take my niece from me and the Jedi Order, do you mind if we talk?"
