10 Chapter 10: Invasion

Looking through my little bugs I could see all the holocommunications had been cut, Padme was still being Naïve, believing in diplomacy and negotiation. Thanks to my future knowledge I knew better than to think this corrupt system would ever be what it was meant to be.

I had a few hundred of my bugs placed around the city ready to start recording the moment the battle droids hit the streets.

I put on my new robes, they looked similar to the Ceremonial Jedi Robes from the force unleashed games. I wondered if she trying to make me look more like a traditional Jedi.

I walked out of my room and towards the Throne room.

"Halt, the queen is in a meeting with the councillors" one of the guards outside the room spoke. He was smart enough to at least not draw his weapon on me.

"I must go in" The guard looked visibly sick at my words. He was obviously told to not let anyone in the room, but on the other hand he knew who I was.

"I.. I can't"

"Very well"

The guard look relieved before I used TK to float him to the ceiling. Sticking him there with a scared look on his face. The palace door was locked down for the meeting but with my level of TK it wasn't much of an obstacle.

Padme and the councils looked to the door as the sound of metal bending and straining echoed in the room, it slowly bent itself towards them as I walked through it.

"Your Majesty, it's time" I made a slight bow towards Padme. Ignoring the slack jawed look of everyone present and the guards pointing their guns at me.

Padme waved her hand at the guards all moved back to their original positions.

I could sense the presence of Gui-gon and Obi-wan landing on the planet, they both felt like powerful beings in the force. "The Chancellors representatives have arrived on the planet, 2 Jedi, a Master and a Padawan, almost at the level of Jedi-Knight"

"Where?" Padme asked ignoring all the councillors complaining about my abrupt interruption.

"I'm not sure. But it will will take some time for them to arrive, I believe they are currently headed for a Gungan settlement for transport. I have also detected a massive amount of droids hitting the planet, it is impossible for me to count the all but they at least tens of thousands"

I could see the councillors all relax and form hopeful smiles as they heard about the Jedi landing. The people in this universe put too much faith in the Jedi, I had just told them there were basically 2 people against 10,000 battle droids.

"They will not be enough" I turned to the councillors all of who look as though they don't believe me.

"They Jedi are a powerful people, how can you possibly know if they are enough or not" and older man with a grey beard said angrily.

I Ignored the man and kept looking at Padme, waiting for her decision.

"Captain, Join your men and get ready to defend the palace until the Jedi arrive, Councillors, get word out that the people must evacuate to the shelters we have constructed thanks to our guest here. Sabe, you will take my place until I say otherwise." The councillors quickly skipped over Padme's comment about my involvement and started to get the word out to the people.

The Captain gave me a look of gratitude and nodded on his way out with the guards, I guess soldiers are always more loyal to people who help them than most politicians even in this universe.

I turn and left the room, fixing the door with my TK on the way out, good as new. The Guard from before look grateful to be off the ceiling but ran off without saying anything. I stood at the top of the steps of the palace, using the force to sense when the army of droids was about to appear.

Before long I could sense a battalion of droids closing in on Theed, a few of their ships could already been seen visibly in the sky.

"Finally" I smiled at the thought of finally getting a chance to practise my skills in battle.

I headed back to the throne room to see all the council members reporting to the 'queen' that most of the citizens had gone to the shelters. I was surprised to hear that a few of the older citizens had chosen to stay in the city to try and throw the droids off.

As I looked at Padme in her maid outfit I notice that the feather she had taken from me was firmly placed in her hair, keep it in place. Noticing my gaze her face went slightly red as she quickly looked away.

Captain Panaka entered the room with a squad of guards all armed with blaster pistols. "Do you need a weapon?" He turned to me and asked holding out a pistol.

"I'm good thanks" I smiled at him for asking, I wondered if he was just trying to be polite or if he has already forgotten what I was capable of without a blaster. Besides I already had my own tucked away in my inventory if I needed it.

"We will meet the Jedi and find out the outcome of their negotiations with the trade federation, if that doesn't resolve this situation, we will have to leave Naboo and go to the Senate and appeal for help"

Before she could continue the sound of blasters being fired was coming from the entrance of the place.

"Everyone take up defensive positions" The captain yelled out as the guards all moved in to their designated positions.

"You two stay close to me, and no matter what happens don't leave my side" I said looking at Padme and Sabe. Sabe just stared at me before looking at Padme who just gave her a nod.

~Boooom~

With that large explosion the door had a large whole in the centre. dozens of shots start flying between the guards and droids trying to force themselves in to the room. I decieded to take a que from Kylo Ren. I quickly reached out my right hand, and all the blaster bolts in the air froze in place,

"What the" "What's going on" "Don't look at me"

Even the guards looked amazed at what was going on. I changed the direction of each of the bolts and sent the flying towards the droids, each bolt killed a single droid each.
