Chapter 88: Recruitment Drive Episode IV
[Myrkr System, Myrkr, Same Bar As Before]
(3rd Person: POV)
A nervous expression on his face Gilad Pelleaon tapped his left foot lightly on the ground.

Waiting for the woman sitting in the chair in front of him, whose named is Rella, to look up from the datapad in her hands and speak to him.
(A/N: For those who forgot Rella is Arwen Cohl's lover)
Telling him whether he got the job he was currently in the last stage of interviewing for.
With a group called Dominicus.
It was a mercenary squadron that had been making a name for itself over the past couple of years from what Pelleaon had heard. The young man also heard they were quite respectable and spent their time fighting against pirates, slavers, and everything else in between.
Hence why Gilad decided to apply with them, after resigning from the Republic Judicial Forces a few weeks ago.
A bit funny, given that all he ever wanted to do since he was small was be a member of the armed forces. Sailing the sea that is the stars, and working to protect innocent people.
Pelleaon wanted to join the military so badly he hired a slicer to forge documents, and make him seem older than he was on record, so he could enter the military early.
At age fifteen, instead of at the usual age of seventeen.
No no had ever discovered Pelleaons' deception, or if they had they never mentioned it.
Which allowed Pelleaon to follow through with his dream, and faithfully serve in the military.
A thing he would've done until he was old and grey, and his bones gave out.
But his dedication to the military changed during the past year.
For it had been revealed that a Jedi had commissioned a clone army for the Republic.
To say Pelleaon was shocked and outraged when he heard about the clone army would be an understatement. The same for many of his comrades in the Judicial Forces.
They put their lives on the line for the people of the Republic, and in return they get replaced by a series of cloned soldiers.
This caused outrage among the ranks of the Judicial Forces, and even a lot of the Planetary Security Forces.
Which was only made worse then Pelleaon and his fellow soldiers learned the Clone Army would not be decommissioned, and there creation would continue. Not only that, but members of the Republic Judicial Forces and Planetary Security Forces, along with members from other branches of the Republic forces such as Republic intelligence, would be recruited to train the Clone Army.
Along with several mercenaries.
This was the straw that broke the camel's back for Pelleaon.
So the moment he could he resigned his commission in the Republic Judicial Forces and began looking for a job elsewhere, that would still let him still serve and aid people.
Hence his application to join Dominicus.
Looking up from the datapad in her hands, Rella started staring at Pelleaon, a blank expression on her face.
Gilad couldn't read her in the slightest, which only made the young man even more nervous.
"Mr. Pelleaon I'll admit your record is impressive for one so young." Rella began. "You seem to be able to think on your feet, follow orders when necessary, and have a desire to strive for greater heights. As well as a desire for women from what I'm seeing here." She spoke.
Making Pelleaon blush a bit in embarressment.
What can he say, he likes the ladies and won't apologize for it.
"You seem to have all the qualities Dominicus is looking for in our personnel. I just have one question. Why have you been lying about your age?" Rella spoke. "And don't try to deny it. Our people already found the proof you are younger than you say you are." She revealed.
Making Pelleaon get a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach.
He wanted to run away, but if his time in the military has taught him anything it that it's better to sometimes face the consequences of your actions head on and with dignity, than with your tail between your legs.
And the former is exactly what Pelleaon is about to do.
"To put simply mam I wanted to join the military and protect and serve so badly I couldn't wait until I came of age." Pelleaon truthfully spoke. "I know it was wrong of me to do such a thing, and if you refuse to hire me I completely understand." He spoke.
"I see." Rella mused. "Well then Mr. Pelleaon I only have one thing left to say to you. Welcome to Dominicus." She said.
Hearing Rella's words Pelleaon got a suprised Pikachu look on his face.
"I don't understand. I lied about my age. Not only to the military but to you." Pelleaon spoke.
"Yes, you did." Rella agreed. "But honestly that doesn't matter to Dominicus. We're a mercenary squadron after all. We operate in the grey area a lot. Besides, even if you lied when you first started out you're of age now, and I meant what I said earlier. Your record is impressive and I would be a fool to let you go over such a simple lie. Not to mention you told the truth when I gave you the chance. So you're in. Again, welcome to Dominicus." She spoke.
"Thank, you. Thank you mam. I promise I won't waste this chance you've given me." Pelleaon spoke.
"Okay." Rella said. She then pointed to a door. "Go through there and please wait, I'll be along after I finish the other interviews I have today." She explained.
"Yes." Pelleaon spoke.
He then got up and went through the door in the bar Rella pointed to.

After going through the door Gilad found himself in a rather lush waiting room, filled with chairs and a sofa, a holovid screen, and tables filled with food and drink.
He also noted two other people in the room.
The first was an older man.
While the second was one of the most beautiful women Pelleaon can say he's ever laid his eyes on.
"Welcome, so it looks like we're all going to be working together since you're in this room." The women spoke.
"Yes." Pelleaon spoke." I'm Gilad Pelleaon. A pleasure to meet you both." He said.
"I'm Adar Tallon." The man spoke up.
"And I'm Hallena Devis." The woman said.
'So, her name's Hallena' Pelleaon thought.
He then realized he was staring at Hallena, so he quickly found something else to do.
Which was getting food.
But he was too late to stop staring before Hallena noticed.
An action she found quite amusing.
As well as a little cute.

And so the butterfly effects continue to take place.
But it looks like some things are just destined to happen.

Adar Tallon, Hallena Devis, and Gilad Pelleaon are joining Dominicus.
While yes, I'm still going to have Pelleaon and Hallena get together. But it will be different than in canon.
