118 Chapter 115: Prelude to Conclave
[Coronet City, Corellia]
(3rd Person: POV)
Standing inside of Novas' apartment she and Marcellus were having a stare down.
Since a few moments ago when Marcellus informed her he was getting ready to leave for the first conclave of the Jedaii Order she said she was coming with him.
"No way." Marcellus said once more.
"I'm going and that's final." Nova retorted.
The two of them having been going back and forth like this.
"Nova, please listen." Marcellus began. "You know if this simply had to do with the Jedaii Order I would let you come in a heartbeat. But as you know it's not that simple. Our order will be tied to the Galactic Systems Alliance. Hell, our members helped create it. And we both know the Republic is going to have their panties in a bunch once the GSA makes itself known. So should the worst come to pass we might end up going to war. And if you come with me do you know that means? They could see you as a traitor. You might never be able to return to Corellia, to see your family and friends again." He spoke.
"Of course I know all that." Nova replied. "And I'm still going." She said.
"Why?" Marcellus asked. "Why are you potentially throwing your entire life away?"
"Because, I don't want to leave you." Nova said. She then walked up closer to Marcellus and gently hugged him. "I love you." She admitted.
Which caused Marcellus to get a massive blush on his face.
"I..I feel the same." He quickly said.
The two having finally admitted their love for each other.
"But it's because I love you that I can't let you do this." Marcellus spoke. "I mean, what would your family say if they knew you were doing this?"
"Oh, they already do." Nova easily replied.
"...Huh?" Marcellus asked. A dumb look on his face. "They know about the stuff we've been doing?"
Nova shook her head. "No, they don't. But I did tell them the guy I love is about to do something crazy and that I wanted to go with him. Once I did they actually encouraged me to go." She explained.
"Wow." Marcellus spoke.
He knew Corellians were cut from a different cloth than most, but this was outside his expectstions.
'This must be that Corellian spirit I've heard so much about.' Marcellus thought.
"Yeah." Nova spoke. "So like I said I'm going with you, no matter what you say."
"What about your duties as a Green Jedi?" Marcellus asked.
"I resigned from the order." Nova quickly replied.
"You have an answer for everything, don't you?" Marcellus grumbled.
"Yep, sure do." Nova replied shamelessly. "For I've been preparing them ever since you let me on what you and your friends were doing." She explained. "Also, forget about me for a second, aren't you worried about never seen Aldeeran again?"
"No." Marcellus easily replied. "Don't get me wrong. I like my homeworld, but it's never really been my home." He admitted.
Because for Marcellus his real family were his friends and comrades he made in the Jedi Order and now in the Jedaii Order.
As well as his mother.
Who would certainly follow her son to the Galactic Systems Alliance without any problems.
Marcellus is sure of that.
Which is why he can put Aldeeran behind him.
Once he explained all this to Nova she nodded her head understanding.
"I get what you're saying." She spoke. "So, why are trying to avoid introducing your girlfriend to your family?" Nova asked.
Marcellus releasing a sigh at her antics.
But that's one of the reasons he fell for her.
"Okay. You've made your point. I'll stop fighting you on this. Get packed, we're leaving soon." Marcellus spoke.
Him finally not resisting the idea of Nova coming with him to Ossus.
"I've already packed all the essentials." Nova replied.
Making Marcellus sigh once again.
Despite this he wore a smile on his face.
Anyway.
Once he and Nova came to an agreement they were soon on the shuttle Marcellus used for his travels, and on their way to Ossus.
Now completely on the same page.

[Trilon Sector, Guter Wade System, Rattatak]
Inside of a base camp Aayla stood with her former master, Quinlan Vos as they stood before a holotank and listened to a message sent to them by Van.
Catching them up on recent events in the galaxy.
Including the fact he wanted them to return to Ossus for the first ever Jedaii Order conclave.
A request Aayla didn't have a problem with.
Seeing as how the mission Van had asked her and Quinlan to go to Rattatak to complete had recently come to an end.
He had asked the pair, and a small taskforce of Dominicus mecenaries, to head to Rattatak and assist a Jedi who, Van had learned, had become stranded on the planet, and his apprentice, in saving the oppressed people of the planet from the numerous warlords that ruled it.
A task neither Aayla nor Quinlan took issue with.
So with that the pair, and their Dominicus taskforce, headed off for Rattatak.
But not before everyone agreed Aayla deserved the title of Jedaii knight.
A title she was a little reluctant to take up.
But with encouragement from her friends, and Quinlan, she agreed to take it.
And during the past year she had spent on Rattatak she had felt she had grown into her title of Jedaii knight.
When the message from Van ended Aayla and Quinlan exited the command tent they were in.
Upon doing so they were met by two people they had grown quite close too in the past year.
The first was the Jedi knight who had ended up stranded on Rattatak in the first place. A man by the name of Ky Narec.

While the second was a young girl Ky Narec had saved, and discovered was strong with the Force. So he decided to take her on as his apprentice. Her name, Asajj Ventress.

To say Narec was suprised when Aayla, Quinlan, and the Dominicus forces had shown up on Rattatak a year ago would be an understatement.
The Jedi knight was also afraid at that time.
Afraid they would force him to return to Coruscant and leave Rattatak, and Ventress behind.
But to Narec's great relief none of that happened.
Instead the new arrivals informed Narec they had been sent to aid him and his apprentice in liberating Rattatak.
All on information provided to them by a friend Quinlan and Aayla both trusted and respected.
A friend Narec would eventually learn was named Van.
And the more Narec learned about about Van the more he couldn't help but think he was the second coming of the legendary Jedi/Sith Revan.
Given that he not only left the Jedi Order but formed a new organization of Force-senistives that would be taught to practice both the light and dark sides of the Force, the Jedaii Order.
Learning this Ky Narec knew the coming future of the galaxy would be more uncertain than it had in centuries.
The Jedi knight also couldn't help but find himself liking the ideals the Jedaii Order would practice.
As such Ky Narec eventually renounced his position as a Jedi knight within the Jedi Order and joined the Jedaii Order.
Ventress doing so right alongside him.
The young Dathomirian girl having become close friends with Aayla over the past year.
"So, what was the message about?" Ky asked Quinlan.
For the two of them had been together training when a Dominicus soldier came and informed Quinlan of Vans' message.
Thus after collecting Aayla and Ventress they headed for the communications center of the base Dominicus had established.
"It was about some stuff that's happened in the galaxy at large." Quinlan began.
He then explained the message in its entirety to Ky and Ventress.
"So, that means you're leaving." Ky spoke.
"Correction my friend, it's means we're leaving." Quinlan replied. "After all, don't you want to see the Jedaii orders headquarters?"
"Master, are we truly leaving this place?" Ventress asked hopefully.
For given all the stories of her own adventures Aayla had share with her since they met Ventress wanted to head out into the galaxy and have some of her own.
Ky took a moment to consider Ventress' question before answering.
"Yes, yes we are." He said.
For he felt his duty on Rattatak was now complete, and now his attention lied elsewhere.
Namely on the Jedaii Order he had chosen to join.
Hearing her master's words Ventress couldn't help but smile.
The matter settled Quinlan and Aayla went to inform the Dominicus soldiers of the content of the message Van had sent them.
Once they did everyone began prepping for depature.
There destination, Ossus.
