7 Chapter 7

It took nearly half an hour for Moka and the others to find a decent bar that Moka felt comfortable with. There were bars closers, but being so close to the palace, they were full of rich, uppity people who would look down on him, despite the fact that he had enough money to buy their whole planet. No, Moka had always felt more comfortable around the common man.

Walking into the bar, everything stopped as soon as they saw the heavily armed and armored mandalorians walk in. Luckily this was a sight Moka was used to, so he knew exactly what to say in an awkward situation like this. "We come in peace, and drinks are on me!" Moka shouted in a victorious pose, earning a great cheer that rocked the bar. Patrons from all over the bar handed him drinks, clicked mugs, and joked with Moka as though they had been close friends for years. This was part of why Moka loved bars so much.

Merriment grew all over the bar and spilled out into the streets as the equivalent to a festival had broken out, all thanks to Moka. The seedy bar was located in the heart of what was considered the poorest section of Theed and Naboo as a whole, so it was understood that the poor people around the had never seen such a joyous festival. Drinks, food and decorations were spread all over the poor sector, all in Moka's name, quickly making him well loved amongst the poor who had trouble feeding their families.

Moka didn't mind as more and more people arrived through the night filling the whole area with music and laughter. He had more money than he knew what to do with, so he loved being able to make the less fortunate people's lives better if he could. Plus, he secretly hoped that all the noise they made kept the Queen from getting a good night's rest.

Sitting on a makeshift seat, watching the festivities, Moka noticed a depressed man out the corner of his eye, despite all of the happiness around him. Curious, Moka got up and approached the man to hear his story. "I say, you must be the only sad face in all of Naboo today, my guy? Why don't you grab yourself a drink and celebrate with us?" Moka asked in a slightly loud voice so that the man could hear him over all of the noise.

The man dressed in a cheap suit and an even cheaper and torn briefcase with him. The man was fairly plain looking with pale skin and dark blonde hair, but had a large beard that was clearly unkempt. All in all, the man was a complete wreck and looked as though someone violated his puppy and forced him to watch. The man looked up at Moka as though he just noticed that he was there next to him. "My life is such a mess, I can't even afford to drink my troubles away, but everyone around me is doing so well, they even threw this festival." Said the man, gloomy.

At this, Moka let out a hearty laugh and smack the man on the back, making him cough a few times. "Haven't you heard my friend? All of this is on my dime! I'm paying for everything, so come on and have a drink on me while you tell me exactly what's wrong?" Moka said as he handed the sad man a fresh drink and took another one himself, the mouthpiece on his helmet opened so he could take a swig. The poor man looked at Moka in surprise then all around him as he thought everything finally made sense.

Seeing no reason to refuse, the poor man took a big gulp of his drink, and let out a satisfied sigh. "Thank you, My Lord. You must be this Noble named Moka I keep hearing about. My name is Markol. Markol Dinn. I'm a Realtor that's had a string of bad luck for years. First I got fired from the realty company I worked at for 'Making bad investments', then I tried starting my own company with all of the bad land I bought, but I can't sell a single property!" The poor man, Markol said as he drained the rest of his drink and found another.

"The worst was this property out in the lake country that I just knew would sell, but I haven't had a buyer yet. This failure was the last straw for my wife, so she left me and took the kids with her. She didn't even leave me a damn credit to my name in the divorce." Markol said as his face turned into a grimace and got to work draining his new mug.

Hearing his tale, Moka felt bad for the man. Even in his past life, Moka had heard about how vindictive and vicious women could be in a divorce. They could break even the strongest of men to only a shell of himself. But something that Markol said gave him an idea that could benefit them both. "This property by the lake you were talking about, tell me about it." Moka asked, intrigued.

Hearing this, confusion and hope crept on Markol's drunken face. "W-well the property is located in a rather unique area, between the area here, the Lower Sector, and the Lake Country. Due to its weird location, the property was practically a steal, but it was too close to the poor people for the rich nobles, and it was too expensive for the common man, which is why I'm stuck with it. But the property there is gorgeous. Beautiful mansion with a great view of all of the wide open plains and picturesque waterfalls that comes along with the property. If you want a private manse with no neighbors in sight and a great view, this property is definitely for you! Tell me, are you perhaps looking to buy some real estate, Lord Moka?" Markol asked, quickly turning on his business mode, with a hopeful gleam in his eyes.

Seeing this, Moka let out another hearty laugh and clapped Markol on the back again, Markol hoping his back will last long enough to sell this house. "You've definitely peaked my interest my good man. You know what, why don't you show me this place? This will be better than finding some hotel to stay at while I'm stuck here. And the further I can get from that damn queen, the better!" Moka said, earning a big smile from Markol.

"You know the queen?! You know what, that matters not right now, I will gladly show you the way! We just need to find a taxi driver who isn't too drunk yet and head straight there!" Said Markol, eager to sell his first property in years.

Walking through the crowd, Moka found the rest of Dragon Squad and told them to take the rest of the night off before he left with Markol, but not before reminding Rain not to blow anything up while he was gone. Moka could swear that Rain was the only person that could show a pouty expression through a weaponized, thick suit of armor. It didn't take them long to find a taxi driver that was decently sober enough to drive them to the location, which was about a 20 minute flight west of the poor sector. And was told that it was about a 15 minute flight from the heart of Lake Country.

The mansion looked beautiful the the sunset as it sat on top of a waterfall with another waterfall a little ways away. There was a stream that flowed from the front of the mansion through the bottom before it came out into the waterfall, which fell into a giant lake even Moka couldn't see the other side of. Moka saw great potential for this land and even got a little excited when he realized this would be his first house that was actually his without any ties to his Aunt.

The mansion was beautiful, yet simple, as Markol couldn't afford to buy the best architect to build the mansion up the way he wanted, but Moka already planned to fix all of this in the renovations. The more he looked at this place, the more he wanted it, as a petty plan came together in his mind. He was going to buy all the land he could around this area, and build a mandalorian palace to outclass the queen's. Was it childish and petty, yes. But Moka also figured it was necessary.

He knew an attack was coming and the queen's palace was proven to have terrible defenses. So he was going to build a fortress to keep him and his people safe. He even thought of stocking supplies in case the poor he just celebrated with have nowhere to go or no food to eat. With this in mind, Moka decided to buy the the house and had Markol broker a deal to buy even more land around it, which turned out to be bigger than the city of Theed, as nothing was out there besides open plains and thick forests full of alien animals.

After paying 4 times the original asking price, extra land included, Markol suddenly became the richest Real Estate Agent in all of Naboo, making him a very happy man now that his rotten luck had finally turned around. "Thank you so much, Lord Moka! I don't know where you came from, but thank the force for sending you to me! If you ever need anything, just let me know, and I'll be there!" Said Markol, shaking Moka's hand as gave him a big grin.

Moka liked this Markol, and buying this mansion gave him another crazy idea that could make big steps in his future plans. "Since you said that, then how about you come and work for me? Kahl Corps currently doesn't have a foot in the real estate market, and I think it's time for that to change. I want you to fly to Kahlua immediately and become the Head of Housing and Urban Development. How does that sound?" Moka said with a knowing grin under his helmet.

When Markol heard this, his brain nearly exploded. 'Did he just say Kahlua? As in the famous Kahlua, home of Kahl Corps? Wait, does that mean?!?' Markol thought to himself as he finally put the pieces together. "Wait, Moka, as in Prince Moka Kahl of Kahlua?!" Markol asked, exasperated, which only made Moka let out another hearty laugh.

"You are just know figuring this out? Yes my friend, I am Prince Moka, but I don't want you treating me any differently! I am just another man at the end of the day." Moka said sagely.

'Yeah, just another man whole could buy a damn planet and wipe out a nation on a whim if he wanted!' Markol thought to himself. Realizing he never answered Moka about the job, Markol quickly replied yes before Moka changed his mind.
