2 Chapter 2

The woman, Roz Kahl, sat silently as Moka mulled over this new information. Even with a supercomputer for a brain, he was still having trouble processing everything. "Wait, you're my aunt?! And all of those titles! Wait, so what about my parents?" Moka asked with burning desire.

He didn't have his parents in his last life, as they died in a car crash when he was very young. Though it wouldn't be the same, he'd love a chance to experience real, familial love, instead of the fake "love" his foster parents had everytime the inspector came to the house for a visit. But the sad look in Roz's eyes told him this life would be no different.

"I-I'm sorry little one, but they are lost to us. My brother, Moz, your father and his wife, Anka, your mother were the ones who started Kahl Shipyard which built this very ship, but then wanted a life of adventure again, so they went back to being mercs, sticking me with the job of running the family business. It's the business and their accomplishments as mercenaries that allowed us to become a true clan, with so much freedom and power, without even having to pledge to a house. But 5 years ago after the Order took you, they buried themselves deep in their work. Then they took a job that was apparently so secretive, they couldn't even tell me about it. They just made me promise to look after you. They were never heard from again after that. All we found after that was your father's armor set, and you mother's helmet." Roz said solemnly, tears welling up in her eyes at the painful memory.

Moka was deeply saddened. He wanted nothing more than to have a real family member, but then he realized, he's literally sitting on one. Looking up again at Roz as she tried to control herself, Moka realized though they were his parents, thanks to the jedi, he barely knew them, not like Roz did. Seeing her struggling to control her emotions, Moka did the only thing he could think of.

He reached up as high as he could, and started gently rubbing the top of Roz's head, quietly shushing her, telling her it'll be alright. Looking down at this little boy doing his best to console her, tears began trailing down her cheeks as she let out a radiant smile. Without warning, she pulled Moka into a tight hug, unknowingly pressing him against her armor. "You're so much like your father! He use to console me like that all the time when we were younger." Roz said, rubbing her face against his chubby cheeks.

As much as Moka loved the idea of being like his dad, he was more worried about living through this hug at the moment. "Aunty, your boobs are hard! They're going to crush my head! Please let me live!" Moka cried out, which earned him a laugh from the crew and a glare from Roz.

"I see you're also a pervert just like your dad too!" Roz said, letting Moka go and drop to the floor.

"Geez Aunty, those things should be registered as deadly weapons." Moka said, earning him an even more uproarious laugh from the crew as Roz chased him through the ship angrily.

And that was how every day of Moka's life was for the next week and a half. He trained in mando combat with his aunt and some of the crew, learned some flying tips from the pilots, and even got his own compact blaster from the Marksman, Ironsight, after he had some training with him and proved that he wouldn't shoot his foot off. All and all, it was a genuinely fun time for Moka, until they dropped out of hyperdrive near the Mandalore sector, only to find a jedi blockade.

Roz was livid when she saw this and kept muttering how the Duchess could allow the jedi to blockade mandalorian territory like this. Not long after they arrived, they received a hail from the jedi command ship. Seeing no other choice, Roz answered the transmission, only to regret it immediately. On the other side of the screen was the same togruta from before.

"I am jedi master Lo Jurn. Roz of clan Kahl, Captain of the Prospect. Stop immediately and return the youngling, Moka, to the order. If you stop right now, you will not be branded a criminal and hunted to the full extent of the order. Do you truly want to bring your clan, business, and all of Mandalore such troubles?" Said Lol Jurn, her sincerity overshadowed by the clear threat.

'She must be upset about almost being blown to bits back there.' Moka thought to himself.

Seeing Roz turn almost as red as her hair, Moka decided to step in and try to defuse the situation, but what he's about to do will change not only his future, but the future of the galaxy forever.

"Excuse me, but I have something to say that will make this whole affair simpler. I no longer wish to be associated with the order. Your order took me from my parents who are now dead, allowed me to be kidnapped and experimented on to the point that I am no longer human, gave a failed rescue where you put my life in even more danger, and then when I get rescued by my last surviving family member, you try to swoop in and use underhanded tactics to both threaten said family member and take me away yet again. I am completely disgusted with you and your order, who as of now, I can't even tell apart from the Sith!" Moka said with extreme malice and hate, shocking everyone, Moka included. He didn't realize he had that much hate brewing inside of him. Is this what the dark side is?

Lo Jurn stood shocked as this little boy just compared her and the order to the Sith. Worse yet, since this is dealing with mandalorian nobility, the jedi council is on the other line listening in. Just as she thought of the council, the screen on both ships changed, the new screen showing a room full of what Moka easily recognized as the jedi council, Master Yoda and Mace Windu included. Moka immediately felt a lump in his throat, as if he swallowed a fistful of sand. "Hrrm, deep anger, young Moka has. Though understandable your anger may be, good for jedi, it is not, hrrm." Said Master Yoda, tapping his wooden cane on the floor.

"I agree with you Master Yoda. Though we rarely allow younglings or padawan to leave the order, we cannot allow such a child already filled with so much hate join the order. As such, Moka Kahl, you are no longer a youngling of the Jedi Order. You are hereby forbidden to return to the temple groups or associate yourself with the order in any fashion, is that clear? In fact, he has such hate for the order yet so much potential, I'm of a mind of holding him in a cell for rehabilitation. Lest he falls into the hands of the dark side." Said Master Mace Windu.

Hearing this made fear rack through Moka's body at the thought of it. Anyone can tell that "Jedi rehabilitation" was code word for, "I'm going to torture you until you love my fucked up order again". Moka wasn't the only one upset at Mace Windu's words, as Roz could no longer hold herself back.

"Now listen here you bald fuck! I don't care about you or your order's weird fixation of hoarding small children to yourselves, but you said it yourselves, Moka is no longer apart of your order, which means he is back to being a full blooded noble of Mandalor, so if you dare touch one hair on his little head, I swear I will take the damn Darksaber myself and bring the full might of Mandalor on you and all that you love dear! This, I stake on my heart!" Roz said with so much venom that it made everyone shocked once again.

The thought going through everyone's mind is, "These Red head Kahls can be meaner than rancors''. Watching Roz threaten intergalactic war with the jedi order over him, made Moka feel so loved and wanted at that moment. Even though he doesn't have any parents, he promised to love his Aunt Roz with all the love he would've had for them.

Seeing the situation falling apart, and knowing that the order meddling in noble affairs is not what the order needs at the moment, Master Yoda decides to step back in. "Take young Moka, we will not. Terrible things I see through the force, if we do. A change in the force, I sense. No, stay with family and grow, Moka will. Find his true path, if he does. Hrrm." Said Master Yoda, tapping his cane once more, though this time had a sense of finality. Moka was both excited and troubled by Yoda's words, as they were too cryptic for him to glean anything from them.

Choosing to look at the positive of being free from the order, and deciding to salvage some connection with the order, Moka gently grabbed Roz's hand and gave her a heart-warming smile, which calms her down immediately. After she's calm, Moka turns back to face the jedi council, bowing to only one in particular. "Thank you so much Master Yoda for your kind and wise judgement. I am truly indebted to you. Though I don't have much for myself now, if you ever need my help in the future, I will be here for you." Moka said, feeling genuinely appreciation towards Yoda, as this clearly could've gone south quickly.

As if he could feel Moka's gratitude, a small smile crept on to Yoda's wrinkled face, nodding in approval. "Need you we will, the force tells me. Disband now and come back to the citadel Master Lo will. Detailed explanation of exploits, we need." Master Yoda said as he cut the feed. But not before Moka noticed a hateful glare from Mace Windu as their feed was cut. All that was left now was Master Lo standing there looking astonished at the turn of events, before she turned back to them, clearly giving Moka the same look of disdain that Mace Windu just gave him.

"I don't know how you managed to worm your way from the order and still stay on Master Yoda's good side, but know this. You have shown the darkness in you today, boy! And it won't soon be forgotten!" Master Lo said in a humph, as she hastily cut the feed. Soon after the feed was cut, the republic ships began to warp away, one after the other, so freeing up their way to safety in the Mandalore sector. Wasting no further time, the crew of the Prospect, made record time reaching their clan base on the second moon orbiting the homeworld of Mandalore, A moon he was shocked to find that his clan owned, Kahlua.

The moon Kahlua was much like it's neighboring moon, Concordia, only slightly larger, barely being classified as a moon. It has dense rainforests filled with different animals and fauna, as well giant mountains that dotted the landscape. It was simply beautiful. Flying in closer, Moka could see a city of factories and different buildings. Everything from a state of the art mining facility, a building called Kahl Galactic Bank, and a giant building he could see from space, that looked like it made different ships. Finally, a giant military fortress that could double as a resort came in their view as they began landing in it. Moka turned to look at Roz, his jaw practically on the floor as her and the crew began laughing at his reaction.

"This can't be really ours, right? There is so much here!" Moka said as they left the ship, his eyes sparkling. Roz did nothing but laugh and ruffle his dark red hair, and put her helmet back on as she continued walking from the ramp of the ship into what Moka could only think is a castle. The inside was just as lavish as the outside. Giant front doors made of beskar steel, a water fountain in the front, and an almost endless amount of rooms. Moka wondered if anyone could actually visit all of the rooms in one lifetime, though that could just be his childlike mind exaggerating. After walking for a while, they made their way to even more lavish doors that had mandalorian guards with distinct armor standing outside of it, waiting to open it for them as if they were royalty, though when the doors opened, Moka began wondering if they truly were.

Expensive art hung on the walls, as well as priceless tapestries that told brave stories of mandalorians conquering worlds and taming unruly planets. But it's what was at the end of the room that really took the cake. There, looking as regal as mandalorian standards could go, sat two thrones made of beskar and lined with priceless jewels and expensive fabrics. Though one was slightly larger than the other, they both were extremely beautiful and well crafted.

Moka was so distracted by his surroundings, he didn't even notice the fact that Roz now stood before the largest throne and beckoned him to the other. Having no more energy to be surprised anymore, Moka just decided to go with the flow and stand by his Aunty in front of the other throne.

By the time Moka made it to the throne, the room was filled up completely with mandalorians in different armored suits, as a few droids recorded this soon to be historical event, and began broadcasting it to the galaxy. Seeing himself on a giant screen with his chocolate, brown skin, dark red hair full of loose curls, and a cute, chubby face, Moka was hopeful that maybe he'll have a chance of being handsome in this life.

Though he felt slightly bummed from his simple white tunic, black trousers, and black leather boots, when he stood next to his aunt in her regal-looking armor suit with a black base paint and highlighted by golds and reds. Though it was Roz's next words that made him worrying about his current attire completely pointless.

"Welcome all to this historic event! I know I have been shunning my true title and responsibilities for a while, but thanks to the return of my beloved nephew, I won't do so any longer! From this day on, I, Queen Rozalene Kahl, am announcing Kahlua's independence from Mandalore and the welcome of my precious nephew, Prince Moka Kahl, as the next successor to the throne! For Kahlua!"
