Blockade Run

Eager to test how his formula from Earth worked, he had a droid bring over a Cerean; Table and all. The table tilted up and positioned her vertically before moving her into place.

"Starting the first test." Khan pressed a button and all the syringes plunged into her body. The fluid flowed inside her flesh and the familiar runic marking appeared when it bonded to her cells.

Khan watched all her indicators. It didn't take long before he noticed the first problem. When the machines bonded with her cells they began to burst.

He wasn't discouraged and recorded the entire process. "Her cells rejected the fusion, were they too forceful, or did the bonding process rupture the cell because of genetic differences?"

Eventually, the woman turned into a pool of liquid on the floor. The droids came over and cleaned it up immediately.

Khan studied the data and changed a few parameters in his code every now and then.

While he worked, Habitat came into the lab and moved behind him. "I've calculated what these machines were used for countless times. Never did I imagine it was made for this. The only devices not hooked up to my systems, the mystery was finally solved."

Khan glanced at Habitat but continued working. "Where is everyone?"

"I had to pull Belia to the bridge. Even if we have Lon to act as a beacon, the dangers of flying blind were still too great. Natasha and Sheva are still meditating in the training room."

Khan nodded, not beyond his expectations.

For the next four days, Khan tried four more times and killed four more Cerean women. Each death was a wealth of knowledge that helped him improve. On the last test, part of her skeleton remained.

Habitat returned once more before he could start his sixth test. "We've finally stopped traveling through hyperspace. We arrived in the King's Galquek system."

"So we came here." Khan sighed with relief. He knew of a few possible locations and there are things he wanted near all of them. Of all the areas he could have gone, this is the one that might help everyone most.

"Remain in stealth and fly away from the battlefield, I'm going to control Lon again." Khan stopped what he was doing and went back to his chamber. Putting on the helmet, his mind was transferred.

"Now is the time to show your worth! The planet of King's Galquek is right in front of us! Our enemy's fleet is right in front of us! This system has been occupied by this extremist group! If we don't hold the line, if we don't push them back, we'll lose the outer and mid rim completely!"

Commander Thorne spoke to all the new Privates below him. They've all changed out of their original clothing and donned the Republic uniform.

"Your task is simple, but one of grave importance. To land on the ground and storm their forces. Try your best to make space for the ground command to come behind you and set up a base camp. As long as they control the planet they control a reusable supply of resources."

He spoke out a death sentence with such a calm look on his face.

The people started panicking but the soldiers still had their guns pointed at them.

"Those of you who make it planetside, May the force be with you." The commander saluted the criminals, his new privates, as they were loaded onto the ships.

Khan was stuffed onto a ship with at least fifty other people. They stood shoulder to shoulder as the door closed.

"There are blaster rifles in the box in front of you, pass them out. You're going to need them." A voice came over an intercom when the ship took off.

"You can't do this to us!"

"You're sending us to our death!!"

"We won't even make it to the planet, please! Send us back!"

People onboard started yelling and complaining, but some started passing out guns with a solemn look in their eyes. Even if they had a weapon, no one thought of rebellion. They were already on this thief ship.

Khan looked around. His roommates Jido and the Twi'lek Kom'seca were next to him. After four days, Lon had buried the hatchet with him using his charm and based on the fact they were in the same situation.

The transport ship flew out of the cruiser along with A-class fighters for support. The same situation was happening on hundreds of ships clustered together.

In front of them was the Sith fleet. To land on the planet, they would have to fly past their blockade of capital ships and starfighters.

Onboard the transports, they could look through glass on the side and see the situation.

The two fleets inched closer to each other until the first shot was fired. Starfighters broke formation and charged forward.

The first ship to be destroyed was on the side of the Republic. They watched as green bolts half the size of their ship whizz by. Everyone trembled when the ship next to them was hit.

Not from fear, but the shockwave that rocked their ship.

It didn't even last a second before the ensuing explosion blinded their sight. Republic A-wings tried to protect them from Sith Fighters but the transports were too slow.

Every moment another ship was destroyed, those onboard closed their eyes and hoped they weren't the unlucky ones to die.

Khan watched all this. He knew the same thing was happening all across the galaxy. Even if Prometheus showed up, it could do nothing against these numbers.

At this moment space looked like a fireworks show. The ship rocked from one aftershock after another. The closer they got to the Sith fleet, the faster their ships were destroyed.

The republic cruises tried to provide cover fire but they dared not get too close. They knew this battle would take years, rushing forward now would mean their defeat.

Even if it meant certain death, the transports still charged towards the planet. From over a thousand transports to a few hundred by the time they flew past it.

Just when they thought they passed the Sith blockade and entered the atmosphere of the planet, a Sith fighter did a strafing run past them.

The back of the transport exploded, killing a few people instantly. The whole ship started diving straight towards the ground.

"Ahhhhh!!!" The people onboard were flung out of the spaceship, including Khan.

Thousands of feet above the ground, Khan spread his arms to the side to control his fall. His head swiveled around and took in his surroundings.

Starfighters were locked in combat in the atmosphere of the planet but the transports were sitting ducks as they tried to land.

Khan saw that a Sith fighter was getting ready to fly under him and made his move. He tucked his arms to his side and shot down like a torpedo.

He came in at an angle and the Sith fighter completely ignored him. Right before he hit, he raised his blaster and shot three times.

The bolts flew through the air and hit the canopy of the sith fighter, cracking the glass. Khan came right after and Superman punched the glass.

"What!?!" The pilot yelled in surprise, everything happened too fast for him to react.

Khan reached in and grabbed his neck, his cybernetics working at full power as he ripped him through the glass.

Khan threw the man into the air and jumped into the ship as it started diving down.

Khan grabbed the controls and immediately barrel-rolled the ship. Dodging the fire of a Republic A-wing.

He pulled the controls back and the ship arced into the air. The A-wing flew past him and two Sith fighters chasing it came into view.

"Say hello to my little friend!!" Khan pressed the trigger and fired on the two fighters.

Their wings exploded and the rest of the ship soon followed.

"What are you doing Ranger 7! Your firing on friendly forces!" A voice roared over the ship's comms.

Khan flipped a few switches and broadcasted his ship's communication to the Republic.

"Ah sorry sorry, this ship has been repoed by Private Lon Alder of the Galactic Republic." Khan made a beeline towards other Sith fighters and shot them down while they weren't expecting it.

"All available units! Take down Ranger 7!! It's been captured!!"

Sith fighters who were targeting transports pulled back and went for Khan.

When the republic saw them trying to shoot down one of their own fighters, they were confused. It wasn't until they saw Khan shake off three fighters and shot one down did they begin to suspect it was one of their own.

More fighters started surrounding him and he knew he couldn't escape, the ship wasn't advanced enough for that.

He pushed down the controls and started diving towards the ground. He found one of the Sith outposts and went straight towards it. The ground defense cannons did not fire because he was in a friendly ship.

Khan looked at the ship's comms and smiled, he knew the republic were intercepting comms. That's why he reported his full name.

"The transports have already landed! I've completed my mission terrorist scum! Know, the one who made you bleed is Lon Alder!! For the Galactic Republic!!"

Khan fired his cannons but an energy shield blocked the fire. A blue dome appeared over the outpost. Seeing it was a ray shield he knew what he had to do.

"Stop him!!!" They screamed over the comms and blaster fire rained down.

Khan sent the ship into a spiral and passed right through the shield. His ship headed right for the shield generator.

His eyes flashed and he jumped out of the ship. Not a moment later the ship crashed and a massive explosion followed.

Khan turned his back and curled into a ball. The shockwave and explosion actually broke his fall as he came down at the perfect angle and shot him out.

His body crashed to the ground hard and rolled a few times. The shield covering the outpost disappeared and Khan rose from the ground with a bloody back.

He already saw Sith troopers running out of the buildings and ran for cover. The Fighters above saw that he survived and fired at his position.

They didn't get off many shots before they had to pull up to avoid crashing.

Khan turned around and jumped into one of the pits created by their cannons. He heaved his gun up and started firing on the Sith Troopers.

His right eye spun and every shot was a sure kill.
