4 Chapter 4: Fate Sets Things In Motion (Death Read The Journal)

When J'onn was a few feet a way he killed the engine on his speeder bike and began walking towards the older man in the brown robe with his hood drawn over his face he could sense no ill intentions finally they were close enough to speak and hear each other the old man spoke before J'onn could and said the famous phrase known throughout all of Star Wars fandom " Hello there my young friend what brings you this way?"

That opening sentence sent goosebumps up and down J'onns arms he thought that never in his wildest dreams he would ever hear those words said to himself not did he imagine that he would be here talking to the Obi-Wan Kenobi but he knew being star struck would get him nowhere and he was driven to learn how to use the force so he quickly stated why he was there that the force had led him to that very spot he then asked the question he was sure to know the answer " You are the Obi-Wan Kenobi are you not ?" the old man replied " you can call me Ben and as for the force leading you here what do you seek and why?" he asked and the boys reply startled him to his bones " I believe it is the will of the Force that I become a Jedi and it has driven me to this place so here I am in fact I've had visions about this place."

Old Ben sensed no lies in his words yet was hesitant to give this young man any type of direction for there was more at stake than just his owsda ⁴n well being so he quickly set forth a test and lesson at the same time " Open your mind to me and let me see your thoughts I feel your telling the truth yet to be one hundred percent sure I have to see what your thinking then from there we'll see what happens from there."

J'onn opened his mind to Ben letting his thoughts be known as well as his intentions after an hour of intense revelation of thought and emotions Ben Kenobi knew that the young man before him was genuine with no malice or ill intentions and with that in mind he also knew that the Force had fated their meeting and he would be a fool to deny this young man the teaching and skills needed to be come a Jedi so without hesitation he told young J'onn to "come in the afternoon back to this very spot and I will train you to the best of my abilities in all of the Jedi Arts." after having said that Old Ben took his leave and went back towards the direction of his hut and J'onn with the twin suns going down on his back raced to make it back to the compound in time for dinner, he had a huge smile on his face.

Other World.

In the plains between life and death Death had a long day at work reaping the many souls on his list and then it was time for a break so he stopped what he was doing and pulled out a comfortable chair from mid air and sat down and relaxed for but a few moments and read the journal that had come by way of an early death John Cloud's journal and by what he read he Death knew that he had made the right decision by sending John to another place just by what he read.

Tattoine. Nightfall.

The night had come quickly and J'onn had eaten dinner and got to bed before hand the boy trouble was he could not rest from the shear excitment for tomorrow after the morning and afternoon drills he would begin his own personal goal and lifetime dream of becoming a Jedi the next thought to follow was what kind of influence would he have what would he accomplish during the rebellion era and that's when he began to form an idea the fact that Luke Skywalker would soon join Obi-Wan in his last adventure on to the first death star meant that he would begin his road to becoming a Jedi and for a few years he would have no instruction except from the ghost of Obi-Wan that's when a thought began to take shape what if J'onn Cloud joined the rebellion and found a way to teach Luke all he had learned from Obi-Wan before he passed away it would change the outcome especially if both Luke and he went to Yoda as the last step in their training not only that Leia could possibly begin her training at a much earlier date it was all just a thought without much of a plan but J'onn had five years to hammer out the details and that's what he was good at in his previous life making sure all the details lined up.
