3 Reminiscing

"Five credits."

Said a humanoid alien, with green skin and big, round eyes, and two antennas on its head.

Digging into his pocket, the bow ten-year-old boy took out five credits, giving them to the shopkeep and taking the candle.

Turning to the road again, his face remained blank as he walked down the street, the force was quiet today, as if picking up on his mood.

Normally, it was full of life, with fluctuations caused by the people in the area but today, it was like the force didn't want to disturb him.

After a few minutes, he reached the end of the city and walked out of the borders, going to the place he took possession of right after it was abandoned. The walk took twenty minutes, and it was spent in silence, like usual.

When he reached the tower, he grabbed the ladder and climbed to the top, opened the door, and walked inside.

His things were stacked neatly on the tables that were left behind, everything organized like it usually was.

Walking to a clear space he had left in this place, he placed down the candle, reaching out to the string sticking out of the wax, he called to the force, and it responded.

Lightning crackles between his fingers, lighting the candle.

Sitting down in front of it facing the wall, he stared at it silently and finally let his emotions, which he kept a tight lid on for the past eight years for, go.

The force reacted violently, if it got out of hand, it would be bad. He rained it in, keeping it contained, keeping the force even, he would Grieve, but not destroy his house, not destroy the piece that was supposed to be present for today... for his sister, he had to hold it in.

In his past life, he had a sister named Anna, six years younger than him, he loved her more than he loved his parents, he loved her more than he loved his own life, and she, in turn, loved him, more than she should have, more then a person should be able to. Every time she looked at him, it was like he, the small teen boy had hung up the moon, painted the stars, and held the universe on his shoulders. She was his little sister and she died right in front of him. He tried, everyone knew he tried but she ran away too far, too fast, he was too lax, he should have stopped her from running off, and now, as if to mock him, he could do just that with just a wave of the hand, it was like fate itself was making fun of him.

At the age of eight, she was too excited, too eager to go home and play with her big brother, the ran across the street. A car accident took her life but not before making it hell. The hospital kept her alive for a little while, but she passed away five days later. He was fourteen at the time, staying by his sister's side until the end, she was happy that her big brother was by her side, reading her favorite story to her.

His parents didn't blame him, his relatives didn't blame him even his sister didn't blame him. He, however, blamed himself.

He should have been fast enough, he should have reacted as soon as she ran forward, he was supposed to take care of her, he was supposed to protect his little sister, yet... He failed.

The boy released a sigh, shoulders sagging and everything that was floating in the room settled down to their place.

The candle was halfway melted by the time he finished the trip down memory lane. He sighed again and relaxed even more. He had a new chance at life, he had a new life to lead, he would move on but not forget, even if he had the chance to, he would rather remember what he went through, otherwise he wouldn't be himself anymore.

The force finally calmed down around him and he stood up. Using force to extinguish the fire, he turned to the newest helmet a clone helmet, he stole it from someone he didn't know anything about, it was a bar and the helmet was on display... too bad they didn't store it away while locking down.

A little to the side, there were armor pieces, sure, they wouldn't protect from something like a sniper but the trooper armor is blaster resistant, so instead of being burned through, it would only hurt, but that should be negated by his tough body.

That's right, Alex has died, now he was Colt, Colt Bridger, even if he'd rather have remained in his old world.

Walking up to the armor, he picked up the helmet and use the force to float the forearm armor, bicep armor, and shoulder protection along with hand armor.

Thigh and calf armor pieces followed as well. Sitting everything down outside near the wall to avoid them being dropped, he walked over back to the door and extended a hand to grab the spray paint, if he was going to wear this in the future, he would rather not be sticking out like a sore thumb.

Picking out a gray paint, he shook it and looked at the helmet...

Well, he would have to pick some of these parts to wear, some were too big for him and he suspected they would stay that way until he was twenty.

Hand and forearm protectors would fit soon along with the helmet, but the white piece of headgear would need some fixing, it would be worth it though, the basic, bulky stormtrooper helmet was just that, too bulky and was made for peace times, meaning all the space inside there was going to waste, but if he managed to fix this clone gear, it would be more beneficial for him in the long run if he ever needed to get off the planet... Or steal something and remain anonymous.

Shaking his head free of thoughts, he started on the forearms.
