Raising his arm jasper looked at his hand/paw in confusion "what...is happening?" confused he continued to inspect the rest of his body(he looks the same as the cat on the book cover). seeing a tail and feeling new ears and whiskers, he quickly came to a conclusion " I'm probably dreaming right now. there's no way I've become a cat".

Refusing the reality of the situation jasper sat there waiting to wake up, that is till the force sent a flood of memories about his new abilities and knowledge of where he was to his brain. gasping he felt intense pain wrack his head as new memories forced their way in. his eyes began to glow white as images flashed in his eyes.

one minute later the new memories assimilated themselves. "what is this!, reincarnation?, teleportation?, pocket dimension?, Stars wars?" disbelief showed on his face as the gravity of his situation settled in.

Taking in his surroundings, he found himself in strange alien like forest, or at best he can confirm that this definitely wasn't earth. blue coral like trees and orange plants made up the area he was in. Feeling hungry jasper decided to go look for some food. getting up he oddly found himself able to walk in sync with all 4 limbs of his "at least thats going my way".

two hours later and still just endless trees in the distance. "I'm moving to slow, there's gotta be a faster way to cross this forest" pausing to think, jasper sat back on his hind legs and brought his arms up into a thinking posture. "didn't I get teleportation abilities or something?". feeling a bit curious about his supposed new power jasper followed the new memories instructions on how to use the ability. In his memories the ability is a blessed gift, and works by thinking with intent of traveling to your destination. whether it'd be to a place visited before or just a general direction by moving (x) amount of meters/kilometers.

closing his eyes jasper thought hard on moving forward 3 km. immediately jasper felt wind whip through his fur, opening his eyes he found himself in a new area with a noticeably large dirt road cutting through the forest. "so that's how teleportation feels like, but I'm glad I found something that can lead me to civilization" jasper concluded, and began to follow the road whilst teleporting in 1km bursts so as not to overshoot the road and lose his direction.

oh how he'll come to regret following that cursed dirt road.
