17 After them Naboo Part 2

-A grenade wave later-

"Cut off their retreat!" Mary yelled.

"Yes mam!" The troops responded and stop focusing on the closer units. They opened fire on the distant troops. Bodies dropping blocking the path for the others. "We lost sight of Nuvo."

"Ummm a guy is eating someone. Like really eating him." Marvis a rakghoul trooper said. "There is this weird blue set of spots on his face."

"Oh man were we like that before?" Temi another rakghoul trooper asked. "Wait no, we dont do shit like that." No one said anything to him. "Fine, I will just keep shooting."

"Cannibals ugh!" Alex said. Looking down the scope of his rifle, he continued to fire as well. "Blasted filthy things!"

"You really dont like them huh?" Balfour asked. It was rhetorical as he popped up and fired his dual blasters. "Pew, pew, pew, pew, pew, pew," six accurate shots before he ducked low. "Three more coming from the gate side."

"Alright hang tight. Inferna give me cover." Alex shot off into a sprint. Rifle mag locked to his back. Lightsaber was drawn and ignited. Pistol in his left hand. "What could these things really be. There generic in a way. They cant be clones right?" His communication was direct to XoXann.

"Wroom," his lightsaber hummed as he got close. A quick slash and the cannibal went down. "Zoom," a cannibal turned on him and actually hit his lightsaber with its mangled arm. A droid firing from the side and missing.

"Pew," the shot did, however, hit another cannibal.

"Raaa, you.. bad." It growled before speaking garbled at him. Its arm burned and catching fire. Something in its body was flammable.

"Well look at that, it can talk maybe?" Alex didnt let that stop him as he turned and fired at one that came on his side. "To bad, you amassed a droid army. How the hell you did that actually?"

"You.. bad!" The cannibal said again.

"Pew!" A blaster shot blast its head off. Inferna noticing it was stupid ended its life. "Pew, pew," to more shoots went out to a pair carrying a container.

"Tink, scrrh," the container dropped and skid before stopping. A stray shot went out and took the lid off. "Tchuck' opening up, Alex was surprised to see several credit chits. As well as a few holocrons. As well as a cylinder with blue liquid.

"Well, that looks promising," Inferna said. "Spoils of war and all." She went back to firing around Alex, who was already back. Cutting towards the gate.

XoXann: We found something in the library that is most concerning. However, we ran into some trouble with the natives. We can handle it, so finish what you can.

"Sure easy.. as.. pie." Alex said. He lost his train of thought when he opened the gate more. "I rather fight Rakghouls again."

"Hey!" Mary commented on comm 2.

"Not your people. Geez. It was.. no what your right how rude of me. I meant the evil rakghouls."

"Much better." Mary ran up and planted a bomb to the furthest left. In a quick sprint, she was already running back into cover. "Hup!" Jumping she triggered the detonator.

"Boom!" The wall collapsed revealing a stack of droids.

Inside was a starship. A small one, but that was not the concern. Half the side was blown off from the fire. Countless cannibals were streamed along the side in pods. Several warehouse workers were putting out fires.

"Hurry up we have to save this shipment." A dock worker said.

"This shipment! This is.. seriously. Someone is shipping these things like troops." Alex was already on the move again to the speaking dockworker. Lightsaber stabbed into the mans leg and arm went around his throat.

"Chish," the lightsaber actually met resistance. It went through however nonetheless.

"Ahhh!" The worker screamed causing a few to stop instantly. "Who are you?" The man was trained. Had control enough to speak still. Balfour ran in at that time. He head straight for the ship. His drone floated up and attached to the bottom of it. A pulse went out disabling it and downloading any information. After that, Balfour went about sabotaging the area.

"Inspection team you know. What the hell is going on here? Who order this shipment?" Alex was watching and noticed most were backing up to get ready to run. The fire still raged on but the droids went to work.

"I wont say any.." The worker stopped talking as Alex snapped his neck.

"Crack!" Pistol rang out as he opened fire at the furthest members away from him. "Pew, pew, pew," the blaster was only good enough to wound them.

Much to Alex's suprise. 'Not limited to the legs.' Lifting up the closer members with the force he pulled them to about ten feet from him. "Right as you can see I want answers. You will tell me what you know." Alex tried to use force persuasion on them. He was met with heavy resistance.

"Umm, we work for.. Nuvo Vindi. We just got here a few months ago. We are working on a bioweapon." The dock worker said. Looking closer he was dressed like a scientist. Most of the dock workers were. The dock suit's only blocking from a distance. "What! This guy doesn't care like the Jedi as you can see. He will kill us." He said to the others.

"So will Nuvo!" Another worker said.

"Its die now or die later." Another added.

(Scientists have knowledge on old bioweapons. Spare: receive boost to light side force as well as cure to Blue Shadow virus. Kill and receive republic sympathy as well as dark side ability Force Poison.)

"Hmm, you worked on this. You have cure methods. I want them. Consider yourself in my custody." Alex opened a force gate and threw them inside. All but the one who first talked. "So can you get the droids to stand down? And can these people be saved?"

"Release me arms and I can." Alex did so. Immediately the droids stopped moving. "I cannot stop the cannibals. Only Nuvo has control over them."

"Did you get that?" Alex asked into comm 2.

"Focusing on the cannibals!" Mary said.

"This is quite the party." Inferna walked in. She fired her cannon at a batch of cannibals that tried to get free. "But this only worked since we arrived with a heavy entrance. If we didnt, I think Naboo would have had a problem on there hand in the future. As well the galaxy itself."

"You are right." Alex put the scientist down completely. "Ok what is this crap."

"We were remaking the Blue Shadow Virus." Seeing Alex's face he continued. "It was a virus that wiped out a good portion of the galaxy thousands of years ago. We were tasked with creating a way to cause an epidemic. So we started with sleeper agents. None took. The virus was to violent. So a process of making that started." He pointed to cannibal on the ground. Under the exposed flesh was a thin layer of metal.

"If we completed this, the plan was to send the shipments out across the galaxy to infect the water supply." The scientist tried to sound sympathetic to keep from getting killed. "Why did you keep me out and not the others?"

"Haa this is going to bite. You are the one that is going to inform the republic. Dont tell them of the others. Say they met with unexplainable trouble." Alex looked to Balfour. The boy gave him the thumbs up. The scattered cannibals were already taken out. However, there were thousands still in chambers. "What is your name?"

"Me! I am not good with pressure. My name is Lenro." The scientist shook like a leaf.

The next 40 minutes were spent on clean up. Such as getting the few canisters still around secured. A message ws sent to the council and the Republic forces nearby.

"What are you doing on your end?" Alex spoke to the transmission screen.

"Good work on the facility. Your report said the Blue Shadow Virus was getting remade. Have you any information on who ordered it?" Mace asked.

"Yeahh not yet." Alex responded.

"That is most concerning," Myr said. "But the Republic wishes to get there hands on the virus."

"That sucks. There is none to hand over. Even the data-wise just enough to understand the basics." Alex said. Inferna gave him a look in wonder. "I am also getting ready to leave this place. It is very unstable."

"You are to do no such thing!" A Republic commander said. "The facility is key to help in the future."

"Yeah umm no. You can send your own troupes down here. Me and mine are getting the hell out. Why would I risk there lives for a bioweapon? That is just stupid." Alex looked at the others and signaled them to round things up. "You should hurry, think the reactor or something in the underground lab is going to blow. I have no idea really."

"Do whatever it takes to secure it!" The Republic commander said.

"Right yeah your not listening. Me and my team are leaving. Talk later by council stooges." Alex ended the call. "So they finished the bombs down there?"

"Before you even made the call." Amy said. "It will look like and accident and the reactor will blow just perfectly. We didnt even do any damage to it though."

"We could get the supplies, but that would give them a chance to get there hands on some things unsavory," Balfour said. "Down below was a large container with the chemical. The team did good so not that big of a loss. Remus said he did take a few of the storage devices. We will see what we can get from them."

"Here you go Alex." Remus handed over two duffle bags. "No time to really get to work down there though.

"Thanks. But at least we can use this to our advantage with the natives. Put together something to give to Amadala. Let her handle it with her influence." Alex said. "If she cant spend this in her favor than she is well.. just useless. I wonder if I should make a trip to Gungan territory. Nah, will do it later." Alex was unable to get in touch with his friends here since arriving. A lot of untrust from the officials.

"Time to go oh foolish one." Inferna said. Taking a few speeders and transports. They left in a hurry. They had tme but it made things look for the better when they would land. Inferna turned to look at him. Alex nodded and the signal went out triggering the destruction. "You do things at your way dont you?"

"Yeah." Taping into the comms he contacted his troops. "What did everyone think? Should we have saved the facility and let the republic get there hands on a bioweapon of epic proportions?"

"Hell no!" Was the unanimous vote.

"I served with the best of them in the Republic. No way that would have gone over well. There are few high rich planets that would make a meaningful profit." Remus said. "Glad we did this."

"Good. Besides we are going to make sure it doesn't spread. If the Republic really wants it. They can get it by hunting Nuvo himself." Alex stated. "Anyway a break is in order for the rest of the day. We will leave tomorrow."

"Whatever you say oh foolish one." Inferna turned back to operating. "Glad we aren't in the bioweapon business."

"All that is left is to take care of the political tape here." Alex moved around and talk to his troops in the transport. Mostly checking on how they were doing. Each had become stronger light side wise. Increase in their presence as well as abilities.

-At the capital-

"So it blew up." XoXann looked at Alex. A republic group stood to her side. "Could you have done something?"

"You didnt even put in the effort. We are taking that scientist into custody." The commander said. Two troopers moved to apprehend the man.

"I was not gonna try." Alex said plainly. He signaled Inferna to step in. "The scientist Lenro has given himself to my protection. He does not trust you people. You can question him with her present. Not up for discussion.

"He is a war criminal!"

"You do not get to decide that." Amy said. She didnt like the man. "According the laws on this planet, an outside party can act as a representative of someone who has information or is a valued asset to the planet. Any outside governing body has no jurisdiction here. Naboo may be part of the Republic, but its laws still trump your own planetside."

"Or are you saying that the local law doesn't matter." Remus said. The Republic officer stepped back. "I will go with Alex. Just to make sure things stay.. diplomatic."

Look we are tired and beat up. Just read the report." Alex stated. "I am going to go rest." He walked away. Making it to his hotel, he locked it down and started to meditate. 'Ok time to deal with her again. Need to find out how to get her to leave.'
