Comatose

Sabine Wren was seated beside the medical bed which was occupied by that of Ezra Bridger. Her brown eyes simply staring through him as he laid there, unconscious. He was in a coma since he had arrived. At least now he was outside of stasis as he was able to be kept in normal condition without it.

Her eyes seemed bigger than usual, she was slumped over in the seat, her arms leaning into the bed. She was looming over him, watching for any sign of movement. She had been up for hours, her eyes were bloodshot, the red made her hues more apparent.

Every so often however she glanced over the young padawan's body toward the Grand Moff who was sitting beside the bed across the room. There he was watching over the Grand Admiral Thrawn, a man who had tried to wipe out the rebellion.

Though Thrawn was not necessarily evil, he was one of the most powerful core members of the Imperial Navy and Army. His ability to dissect the work and culture of his foes to better his own stratagems was a flawless asset for anyone who held it.

It seemed however that Tobias Rune wasn't worried at all about either one of these patients. If one of them were to die, it'd just be another funeral. If Ezra died, he'd still be returned to his home. He'd be honored as a hero, dead or alive. And she would fulfil her promise, to bring him back to Lothal.

The closer she looked at the Grand Moff however, the more she noticed that Tobias had his eyes shut as if he was sleeping. Blinking a few times, she slowly got up from her seat and crept towards him. His head started to nod, he looked as if he was in a position to meditate. She had seen her late friend do it, she had seen Ezra meditate too. However it definitely looked like the Moff was sleeping. She gave him a dull look as she heard a small snort escape his nose.

"He's sleeping...?" Sabine dressed in an Imperial Uniform with a cloak which had been supplied to her, walked up to him casually and gently waved her hand in front of his face.

There was no response, other than his head lulling forward and slapping his forehead right into her hand. Again, there was no response to that either. It was as if he was in a deep sleep. HIs body began to gave way and suddenly he fell forward from his chair.

His face planted right into Thrawn's chest and immediately the man in a white imperial uniform with blue skin, opened his red eyes. He could feel the warmth of someone on his chest and slightly raised his head.

Thawn cocked a brow, "Interesting..." His typical accent flared as he let his head drop weakly back onto the pillow. His eyes darting over towards the shape of Sabine. His vision was blurry so he couldn't make things out quite well, but the highlights in her hair were a symbol he would recognize anywhere.

However the uniform she was wearing wasn't something he could believe, why was she wearing an Imperial pilot corpse uniform? Squeezing his eyes shut, he opened them again as he raised his hand to lift the Moff's head from his chest. Looking at the young man, he furrowed his previous cocked brow.

"So I was saved by a Farmer? Pleasant..." His eyes trailed down towards the rank insignia and blinked a few times. Slowly he rested Tobias Rune's head on the bed beside him and sat up. "A farmer with a 'Grand' career. How curious." Thrawn looked back to Sabine who was just standing there watching him with a face of annoyance.

"Did..." His eyes traced over her facial features, he took in her height. "You get older?" To him that didn't seem right. Why did she change so much? Why was she on board an Imperial Starship? was she undercover to destroy the Empire?

Instinctively, he reached over and checked the pulse of Tobias Rune to see if the sleeping man was alive in which he was. So she wasn't here to assassinate the Moff, why was she here?

"Yes, it's been about six years since you disappeared over Lothal." She'd gesture over towards the Jedi Padawan which hadn't woken up yet. "Thanks to your disappearance, Lothal was liberated... But at the same time I spent most of my years afterward searching." The corner of her lip twitched slightly in distaste.

While she seemed to dislike him, he understood why. Though she didn't at all seem hostile. His eyes looked to the Moff once more and noticed several items on his belt. Lightsabers, his blue face light up with interest.

"What's the status of the Empire, Sabine Wren?" Thrawn asked her curious, feeling the need to know more about the situation he was finding himself in. At the same time, he was wondering if she would actually indulge his questions; to his surprise however, she was.

"The Empire is splintered. Tobias here leads the Imperium Splinter Government, According to him Gallius Rax and Sloane lead the other Remnant, while there are some other minor remnants that refuse to follow them." Sabine said in a simplistic tone before sitting down in the seat beside Tobias and propping her feet up on the side of the bed. Reaching over she would pluck the Grand Moff's head off of the bed and prop him up in his chair.

"So far Tobias leads the largest group and is forming his own Force Sect on some planet near Chiss Space." Sabine yawned slightly as she crossed one ankle over the other as she looked at the blue man. She was rather relaxed in his presence.

Thrawn could draw a conclusion about her relaxed demeanor. She was either comfortable here or the man beside her wasn't really sleeping at all. His red eyes looked to the Grand Moff. Though when she spoke of Chiss Space, his eyes squinted at him. "Near, not in?" he could think of a few planets near Chiss space which would be suitable for this.

Opening his eyes Grand Moff Tobias Rune would gaze forward towards the Grand Admiral, then look to the woman who was holding his head up as he was propped up in the chair. "Um... Morning."

Thrawn shook his head and scoffed at the Moff's greetings towards Sabine.

"Ah, Admiral Grand Thrawn. Fan of your campaigns." Leaning forward, the Moff would clasp his hands together in front of himself. "Glad to see you awake. Welcome aboard the Guardian, or... As you remember it. The Annihilator."

Thrawn's eyes widened a bit as he heard this and looked around. The ship looked as if it had been extensively retrofitted and he could see this from the medical wing. "So, Grand Moff Tobi, Why is one of the Rebels in your crew?"

Tobias glanced over towards Sabine for a moment, before looking back over at Thrawn. "I recruited her soon after the Chimaera came out of a temporal hyperspace anomaly. The Galactic Imperium isn't at War with the New Republic, we have a temporary truce while they take out Gallius Rax."

Nodding, Thrawn understood the reasons behind making a truce with the New Republic. It was a strategic move if one wanted to be unhindered and not fear attack.

"However the truce is up in less than a month, and we're going to be moving the entire oversector fleet to our main territories, as my sectors are being turned over to the New Republic." Leaning forward, he stared through Thrawn as if he was just a piece of paper. This stare even made Thrawn shutter internally.

"My question for you, Admiral Thrawn, is which side will you choose? My territories are up against Chiss Space, you're more likely to protect your people through my forces. On the other hand, Gallius Rax might either purge you or use you. Which do you prefer?"

Grand Admiral Thrawn just looked at him with the dullest look in his eyes. It was as if he was giving him a trick question. An entire oversector Fleet was something not even the Rebel Fleet could take on in one go. On top of that, the easiest way to grow is peace time, one needs an economy to survive a war.

His eyes rested upon the invert Imperial emblem, before pressing his two fingers from his right hand against it. "The Galactic Imperium fits my interests, for the time being. The defense of my people, is the defense of your people." His eyes flickered right on over towards Sabine who was looking at Tobias with keen interest.

Thrawn had a hard time figuring out her role in all of this. Was she a mechanic? Was she a pilot? Was she going to be a lightsaber instructor for his supposed force sect? Or was she a side piece? His red eyes closed as he thought to himself, slowly laying back down on the bed. "What is the status of the Chimaera, Grand Moff?"

"Currently being repaired. Should be up and hyperspace capable in around thirty-six hours. The command tower is being removed. The vessel will look more like a Chiss Star Destroyer," Tobias responded with a snicker as Thrawn turned his head on the pillow to look at the man. He knew what their destroyers looked like? "With a cloak too, can't ever forget the cloaking device."

Thrawn smiled hearing the last part. A cloaking device being added to his ship would give him an advantage in combat. It'd be like the Chiss Ascendancy all over again, except this time it was unlikely he'd be exiled for preemptive strikes for the sake of it being preemptive towards a known enemy.
