73 Cursed with Knowledge

~~~(POV: Nathan Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: Outpost Guardian, Entering The Caves of Ilum)~~~

The soldiers that are pinned against the wall can't move, and sparing their lives is the decision I've come to. The entrance to The Caves of Ilum is sealed behind a massive vault. My hand raises, and I grip the door, the sides fold to the center, and I rip it off its hinges. Throwing it above me into the open skies of Ilum. As the cold air from inside hits me, I feel a shiver.

A shiver from The Force, and not from the cold wind. "Time to figure out what's going on..." Every step I take towards the entrance, the farther away it feels. Once I step inside, I'm disoriented and surrounded by darkness. My lightsaber flies into my hand, and I ignite it. Using the light to guide my way. I look behind me, and the entrance is gone. As if nothing was there, to begin with.

Since there is no going back, I move forward. The Force isn't guiding me where I should go... It isn't warning me of anything. It's not helping me here... No matter what I try to do, The Force refuses to show me anything. "Amor..." The same feminine voice that I heard echoes from deep within the cave. The feeling of having The Force not help me... It's like I'm blind...

As I move forward and towards the voice, I start feeling more and more tired. "Nathan... My sweet baby..." Another voice... One that I heard the first time I was here on Ilum... My memories flash of that event, and I see a woman. One that I don't recognize. "I want to speak to you... There are things you need to remember..." The voice echoes in the cave and inside my head.

After a few minutes of walking, I'm hit with a sense of loss. I fall to my knees, and my lightsaber deactivates. All that lights the cave is the glimmering Kyber Crystals around me. I blink a few times, getting a sense of myself. After the final blink, I'm no longer in the caves. I'm in a hospital room. I stand up, and I see myself standing next to another woman.

Now that I'm standing up. I look at the two in confusion. The copy of me turns and looks at me, but he's weak and sick-looking. "Who are you..." The words come out of my mouth without my control, and at the sound of my voice, the woman turns around. As my eyes meet hers, incredible grief hits me. As it does, the other me reacts and looks the way I feel.

She steps forward, and she's far shorter than I am, and once in front of me, she smiles. "I'm Jill Athena, and I'm your mother... You're mother from a different world and time..." Her words confuse me... A different world? A different time? She turns to her side, and the other me walks up beside her. "It's time that you remember." As she says that, the other me reaches out, and his hand enters my chest.

A bright light fills the room, and my head feels like it's exploding. In an instant, I remember everything. Earth, my mom, Star Wars, my wish to come here... They're just memories, though... It's memories and emotions of a version I no longer am. As I open my eyes, I'm back in the tunnel, and my lightsaber is at my feet...

I was reincarnated in this world, and now I have a piece to the puzzle. I use The Force to pick up my lightsaber and reignite it. My mind is going through everything that I was just given. Knowledge about Star Wars, this universe. I'm in an era called The Old Republic, but I don't know much about it... "Amor... Amor, please..." The feminine voice that I hear calls me again.

My mind is still sorting out all the knowledge I've gained, but I know one thing. I know things that I shouldn't know now. Some things are about this era, and the majority aren't. "Come speak to me... I want to see the one I gave birth to..." My head and body tremble, and I fall to the floor again... In my old life, I knew Star Wars, but not enough to know everything... Much to my own belief that I did...
