3 Knowledge: Class System

Humans have developed a class system to categorize people's Talents and jobs. Just because a Talent is classified under a certain class, doesn't mean that that Talent holder cannot have a different profession or job. It's just a way for them to determined what the Talent awakened is most suited for and is determined by what that Talent actually does.

Classes:

-Warrior: These people are normally people who are born with Talents that heighten a physical attribute like their strength or speed. They mainly focus on the growth of their bodies instead of their energy during their rank progression. Other people can become warrior and even without a Talent that doesn't enhance their physical attributes, they can use their Talent in a different way to make them effective in battle.

-Healers: The people awaken talents that can heal themselves or others, but people who don't have a healing Talent can still become a healer with other means like their ancestors that didn't have Talents.

-Mage: These people awaken talents that let them control or manipulate the elements. They mainly focus of the growth of their energy to facilitate the use of magic. People can learn magic as long as they have energy, but without a Talent that grants an attunement to an element, it will cost a lot more energy to cast the magic and the end result will be weaker than if they had the Talent.

-Researcher: These people awaken Talents that heighten their intelligence and are capable of discovering things that normally people couldn't. While others can become researchers, without the Talent that heightens their intelligence, they'll see the peers and colleagues progress while they're left in the dust.

-Summoner: These people awaken a Talent that lets them commune with other dimensions. They can use the other dimensions energy to caste spells or make a contract with a creature from that plane of existence and summon them to their own reality. These creatures will fight by their summoner's side. Once the summoner dies, the summoned creature losses its tether to the summoner's reality and is sent back to their own. While people without the Talent can train as summoners if they have energy, the progression will be slow and the creatures they summon will be weak unless they are willing to pay a hefty price.

-Machinist: These people awaken Talents that aid the the building, design, and advancement of technology. While others can become Machinists, they would never be as attuned to machinery as them. It's almost like the machine can talk to them and communicate other advancements that can be made. They work closely with Researchers, Cyborgs and Architects.

-Architect: These people awaken Talents that help the build advanced infrastructures and play a major part when it comes to terraforming and colonization. Anyone can become an Architect, but they would most likely just end up helping those with Talents in this field, by lifting or moving stuff. Basically, those with Talents in this field are the leaders while the others would be the workers.

-Cyborg: These people are those that did not awaken a Talent or were close to death, so they chose to make or give themselves a metal body that could grow stronger as technology progressed and had no visible end to their lifespan. Cyborgs could use these mechanical enhancements to become any other class, as long as they had the right tech to facilitate it. When Cyborgs mechanize their body fully they are referred to as Androids. While at the Cyborg stage, they'll still have a life span based off of the strength of their body, but once they reach the Android stage, they will remain alive so long as their mind exists and they are able to make back ups of their mind or transfer their minds to back up bodies they own or make. Most people don't choose to become Cyborgs because their strength is completely dependent on the advancement of technology which is a lot slower that the advancement on the use of energy and training methods to strengthen the human body. Some even see them as abominations and an affront to nature.

-Alchemist: These people awaken skills that aid them in the research and development of medicine and poisons. They mainly make them in pill form, but higher ranked Alchemists are able to refine the very essence of the medicine or poison into an Elixir(liquid form). The pills are of lower quality and can contain imperfections or waste that lead to drastic side effects and a build up of pill poison that requires another medicine of Elixir level to cure. Elixirs do not have any waste product and are the higher form of Alchemy. Those who don't have a Talent for Alchemy can still become Alchemists but will almost never be able to make an Elixir.

-Tamer: These people awaken a Talent that lets the commune and tame beasts. These beasts will then be sold as domesticated pets, cattle for food or as battle companions. Tamers are seen as a very lucrative class and many want to become one, but without the Talent to tame them, all they can do is use force to capture them and make them submit. This method causes wounds to the beast that lowers its strength and a build up of resentment towards humans. This type of tame beast are normally worth less and as such are treated as such. They are also known to attack turn on their owners depending on the way the owners treat them. Due to these instances, Most people will buy from a recognized Talent holder in this field. This led to price hike for beasts tamed by a Talent holder which caused to to make even more money, so people still pursue a career in this class even without having a Talent for it. Also, due to the price hikes of Talent holders, many people still buy from non-Talent holders, cause it's cheaper and more affordable. This class works closely with Enchanters, cause the Enchanters make the special collars needed to maintain control of the tamed beasts captured by those who don't have the Talent needed for this class.

-Enchanter: These people awaken a Talent that aids in making runes and arrays that can be placed on the surface of tools, buildings, machinery and the land itself. Through these runes and arrays they are able to enhance the attributes of the thing the enchant or even make barrier to protect whole cities. They can even give tools and weapons the ability to fire magic that can be destructive or cast a magic that can heal or buff someone else. The things they can do with their runes and arrays are practically endless. Anyone can train to become an Enchanter as long as they have energy, but without the Talent for it, they'll mostly just be practicing and using the runes and arrays that already exist and it will usually take a long time before can make their own. During the making of their own runes and arrays, Enchanters have to be careful as the backlash from a failed attempt could cause an explosion of mana that could have varying effects. Some effects are harmless and even comical, like turning someone pink or purple, but other cases are very serious, sometimes even fatal.

-Mutant: These people awaken abilities that causes drastic changes to their physical appearance or gives them abilities that cannot be copied. These abilities are diverse and aid them in training to become another class, but it requires great effort to control and master their gifts before they can go off to try and achieve glory in another class.

-Esper: These people awaken psychic abilities just as diverse as the Mutants. These abilities can manifest as telekinesis, telepathy, or illusions or it can manifest as a natural ability that enhances others or their own natural abilities. Some can even allow them to manipulate energies of life and death allowing them to be an amazing Healer or a dangerous threat to any battlefield.

-Producer: These people awaken Talents that aid in growth of resources and husbandry. They are normally the farmers and gardeners. They help provide food, whether it be meat or veggie, to the rest of humanity. The tend to develop friendships with the Elven and Dryad race. Anyone can become a Producer, but none will be able to commune with the plants and animals like they do, unless they have a Talent for it.

-Cultivator: These people are born on planets with a higher grade of energy than mana called Qi. These people are all born with 2 Talents. The first is Talent: Qi Affinity and the second is Talent: Spirit Root. These Talents allow them to cultivate just like the immortals in light novels. Within this class their is another ranking that judges how strong and what grade their Talents are. The Talents can range from low grade 9 to top grade 1 rank, with low grade 9 being the weakest rank and top grade 1 being the strongest. These rankings determine how fast they progress through the ranks and how fast they can learn a technique. Unlike light novels though, they progress on they same rankings as the rest of humanity.

-Miner: These people awaken Talents that aid in the location and acquisition of ores and gems hidden within the planet. Anyone can become a Miner, but they'll require machinery to do what those with a Talent for this could do with their bare hands.

-Crafter: Leatherworkers, Blacksmiths, Tailors, Goldsmiths. These people awaken a talent that aids them in creating powerful equipment, whether it be cloth, leather, or plated armor, or be it accessories or weapons. Anyone can become a Crafter, but their creations will always be inferior.

-Scientist: These people awaken Talents similar to Researchers, but specialize in experimentation of weird science. They focus on studying virology and genetics and use their knowledge to make procedures to make humans stronger. They worked together with Researchers, Mages, Alchemists, Summoners and Healers in order to create the Demon Slayers. They are also working with the Researchers in the study of the Infection, in hopes of finding a cure for it or a way to destroy it.
