The most fearsome existance

Albert Pendragon, that is the name of a genius that could make everyone cower in fear after he left the world. Now he is known as Bei Ang Ling, living his life leisurely with all of his knowledge intact within a normal family in a strange world.

Why strange? Of course, he found it strange because this world is messed up according to his knowledge. At 1 year he found it weird because in here technology is really backward! He almost thinks that he probably goes back in time to ancient times. At 2 year old, he found that there is other race just like back there but this race is more like an ancient story according to him. For example, in his old world, Extraterrestrial races exist but all of them have one in things in common, they are weird shaped and does not resemble humans at all.

In here, there are many races such as Elf, Dwarfs, Beastman, Vampire, and more! According to what he had seen from his everyday life for 13-year observations, he realizes that this world is the same with earth but also different at the same time.

What made the biggest difference is the what inhabitant of this world called as 'Qi' or 'Inner Energy' when he first saw how it is used, he got flabbergasted as with this Qi every human in this planet could be considered superhuman! With this Qi they could lift something that beyond what human could lift easily, cutting a tree? Why using Axe when your chop could do it more efficiently. Moving boulder? Why using a machine when you could lift it with one arm. And what made him become short-circuited, is that with this Qi they could create phenomenon! Creating fire, water, lightning, earth, and wind! He first saw this when he stumbled upon two men fighting in the middle of the day, where they use the phenomenon to fight each other.

But later he found out that, not everyone, could do that, 'why?' he asks his parent, they said that those that could create phenomenon is called as a 'Cultivator' they are very respected in this world as they could carry mountain with one hand, split sea in half, fighting demon and dragon and they more of all, they could become immortal!

And to be this called 'Cultivator' we need a cultivation technique, something that commoner could only dream about, and moreover to use this cultivation technique the person also need a bloodline that could use the said cultivation technique, and a bloodline is something that could only be possessed by a noble family that is why they are called noble in the first place.

The noble inherited a bloodline and cultivation technique that exclusively theirs and never gave it to outsider except for another noble family through marriage or exchange. But it does not mean that a commoner does not possess a bloodline, it actually reversed. They have too many bloodlines that the ratio is divided into a very small ratio that it cancels each other and so the benefit.

"Ang Ling, can you prepare the vegetable?" Said mama Bei from downstairs again snapping Ang Ling from his stupor.

"Yes, Ma!" He replied as he comes downstairs to see his mother that currently busy wiping the table before opening the store. He goes to the kitchen where he found many familiar looking vegetables inside the box, he pulled one of the knives that weight more than 1 kg.

Every time Ang Ling holds this knife, he always has a wry smile on his face. For a 1 kg kitchen knife, this knife is actually just 11 inches long, with its weight that came from pure iron this knife is very sharp and easy to use as it chops the vegetable into dice with no effort at all.

In truth this is the second fact that made Ang Ling quite strange inside, He lives for 13 years in here found that (probably) every fruit, vegetables, grains, and herbs from back on earth are actually 'exist' in here, moreover with the same name! This is truly a weird revelation for him. But this planet also has fruits, vegetables, grains, and herbs that unknown to him, all of those things usually used as supplement and ingredient for alchemy. These alchemists use it to create a wondrous pill that could cure illness, curse, poison, grown lost limbs, beautification, longer lifespan, and the most important it could help a cultivator to increase their cultivation level and power!

'Ugh! I really wanted to try all of those and to do that I need cultivation but I've got limited by a mere concept of 'Commoner', damn it, God! What the heck is wrong with this reincarnation, shouldn't suppose to become a hero and save the world or something.'

Sigh is all he could do as he continues cutting the onion.

Just like what said above, a commoner also has Qi that they could use to strengthen their body and use it for daily life, but it stops at that. In the book he once read, it is said that cultivation is divided into several phases where each phase has 10 levels to go through before they reach the peak of that phase and advance to the next phase.

The phase of cultivation is called as '9 steps of Mortal' The name came from the way that a mortal defying the heaven and become an immortal.

The third step, 'Qi expert'

The fourth step, 'Qi warrior'

The fifth step, 'Qi general'

The sixth step, 'Qi warlord'

The seventh step, 'Qi king'

The eighth step, 'Qi emperor'

The ninth step, 'Qi sovereign'

And it is a fact, that a commoner could only reach the peak of a Qi disciple phase and need a cultivation technique to advance if he or she wanted to become a cultivator. In fact, until this day, Ang Ling still does not know how people could use Qi! Because unlike people from this world, he is someone who lives his life in a world full of technology, not magic. And with him retaining all of his memories have created more problem for him, the developed logic in there creating an invisible barrier that still trying to rationalize all of this, he still could not get a grasp with all of this magical shit.

That is why he drops cultivation at an early stage and start to learn more about this world. Other than science, since he already has knowledge that way far too advance for this world, he decides to learn something new that 180 degrees from his forte. Music, Poetry, Drawing, Calligraphy, Crafting, Cooking, and Blacksmithing, it took 7 years for him to be adept at each subject and could gain recognition from all the teacher and elder as he graduates with flying colors.

As Ang Ling doing his job in the kitchen, from outside, the house came a hurried footstep of a man in his late forties running with all of his got toward the house. The front door opened with force startling Ang Ling and his mother.

"Kyaa!" Mama Bei screams as he looks at the man on the front door. As she looks at the man and identified it as her husband, she picks up the broom that she dropped from the shock and walk toward her husband. With a smile on her face, you could definitely saw the death god behind her polishing its scythe.

"You… you want to kill me huh?!"Shout mama Bei as she brandished her broom at papa Bei with a strength that could pick up an Ox with her one hand.

"Wife!"

"Wife let me talk!"

"My beautiful wife?"

"Number one beauty in the world?"

"Hear me out. please!"Plead papa Bei as he saw his wife holding a broom walking toward him with murderous intent.

Mama Bei stops walking in front of him, still with a smile on her face as she tilted her head a little to make her husband talk.

Seeing this, papa Bei could only drink his saliva back down to his throat as cold sweat appeared on his face. With meek voice he said.

"Please, be gentle…"

Inside the kitchen, Ang Ling could hear his father scream miserably beaten by his own wife as he said in his mind that 'the most fearsome existence below God, is a mother and a wife.' Then he goes back to doing his job accompanied by his father scream in this beautiful morning.

1. Strengthening body in here does not mean that they manipulate the Qi to make them stronger. Instead, the existence of 'Qi' inside their body nourish their body from inside and made them stronger.
