Yoona was sitting in front of the mirror, expressionless. Her mind was replaying the humiliation she had faced and she could vaguely hear the chants from the audience who now wanted her out of the competition. The people who had once adored her were calling for her blood.

What was my fault? She wondered. I'm only in love.

Love. That was right. She was in love with a man who could never be hers. He had already given his heart away to that red lady, Cherry Wang. Yoona was nothing to him while Cherry was everything to him. Why? What's wrong with me? She thought. Am I not beautiful? Am I not proper? What's wrong with me?

Suddenly the door opened and her mother entered the room, looking furious. Yoona did not bother to stand up but she did not have to. Semi turned her chair around and slapped Yoona as hard as she could.
