1 A Premonition?

A vast space, everything, is dark. And the only thing that could be seen are fast flashes of parallel lights that never for once, touch each other.

This has been in order thousands and thousands of years that passed and remain being, thousands and thousands of years to come.

However, suddenly, a rare phenomenon happened. There occurred a glitch in that order of the fabric of space and time resulting for two parallel lights to flash in synchrony and touched each other. The contact stayed only for a nanosecond but that tiniest amount of time results to the changes in the fate of two people.

They said that lovers crossed each other's paths guided by their stars.

While there are lovers who was given the chance to meet but never the fate to be destined together.

And then, there is this pair of lovers who took the glitch in the fabric of space as a chance to finally be with each other.

B International Airport. Capital City.

"Fengfeng? Fengfeng? Sweetie?" Jing Huaxi kept calling her daughter who was beside her sobbing while sleeping.

Fan Xifeng suddenly sat up straight and with rounded eyes, looked around her. 'Wait, why am I inside a plane?! Was I saved?!' Fan Xifeng looked at her wrist and seeing her flawless white skin, she frowned. With wide opened eyes, she looked at her mother.

"Mama?"' She called out while staring at the worried face of her mother.

"Sweetheart, what's wrong? Are you having a bad dream?"

Realizing that she's inside an airplane, she asked at lost, "Ma, why are we inside an airplane?"

Jing Huaxi looked at her daughter with a confused expression. "Are you having a stage fright because of your nearing engagement?"

"Engagement?"

"Fan Xifeng, what is going on with you?" Jing Huaxi carefully looked at her daughter trying to understand what's happening to her.

'Ma, I myself don't even know what's happening.' Fan Xifeng thought inside. She was at the brink of death and next thing she's inside a plane?!

Wait…. This situation right here, happened before! Just two weeks before she turned twenty-five, she could remember that her whole family finally returned back to the capital after living abroad for almost twenty three years. It is to celebrate her birthday and at the same time, her long awaited engagement with the Han family's eldest son, Han Zi Wei.

Seeing the lost expression on her daughter, Jing Huaxi called her out once again.

" Fan Xifeng." She said, this time in a stern voice. "I don't know what you are trying to pull off but this time, it won't work even on me. I have spoiled you for many years but I won't let you have your way this time. Your engagement with Han Ziwei isn't for us but for you. Stop playing tricks just to avoid it."

"Ma?" She asked in confusion.

"Fix yourself and stand up. Your father and sister must have been waiting outside for long. Looked around, we're the only one left inside."

At the same time, a stewardess approached them and remind them that a new batch of passengers would board the plane so they have to get out now. Seeing Fan Xifeng stood up and having to see her face up close, the smile on the stewardess face broke and replace by awe and admiration. Fan Xifeng, used to this treatment smiled politely to the stewardess who after realizing how awkward she acted regained her composure. When her eyes turned to the seat Fan Xifeng just left, she saw there was a phone lying on the floor beside it. "Maam excuse me", she called out. "You must have left your phone."

Fan Xifeng recognizing her phone, took it from the stewardess and thanked her.

Her mother is already ahead so Fan Xifeng hurried to catch up with her. Despite checking her phone and confirming the date, February 3, 2019, as exactly the day her family returned to the capital similar to that dream, Fan Xifeng was utterly bewildered.

"But that dream felt so real." She murmured. 'Was it a premonition? Or a warning in my dream? Or…had I just been rebirth or reincarnated?' She paused and experienced goosebumps all over her.

"Sis!" Fan Xifeng's train of thoughts was disturbed by a voice. When she looked up, her younger sister who, look nothing like her or her parents, was waving at her. She frowned but shook her head by a sudden thought and walked towards her sister who was calling her.

After sometime, the Fan family finally boarded a car. They were especially asked to be fetched by the old master Fan and so, they would be living back to the Fan mansion as her father, Fan Bin is the only son of the Fan elders. 'Right, same as with that dream. Fan Xifeng's frowned deeper.

Arriving at the Fan mansion, the two Fan elders were already waiting outside. Seeing their only son and daughter in law walking out of the car, the Fan elders heaved a sigh of relief. "Papa, Mama." The couple greet the elder couple filially.

"It's good that you're finally here." The old master Fan said with, relief in his voice. After all, having been separated to their only son has been emotionally hard for the elder Fan couple.

"Good , good, now where is my granddaughter?" The old madam Fan asked unconsciously.

"Ma." Fan Bin quickly reminded his mother and relieved seeing his daughters were still inside the car. The old master Fan glance at his wife with a 'Be careful' look in his expression.

The old madam Fan slapped him in his arm and hurried to the car. The car door once again opened and came out Fan Xiaodan. "Grandma!" She greeted warmly and yet, the old madam just nodded at her. "What happened to your older sister?" The old madam Fan asked, thinking something bad happened that's why her favorite granddaughter didn't go out yet. "She just woke up. Don't worry grandma, sister will be out in a while, let's go ahead, the weather is cold around this time. It's not good for you to stand for long here outside." Fan Xiaodan urged with care in her voice. However, the old madam Fan replied in a rather lukewarm manner,

"No, you go ahead inside. I'll wait for your sister." Noticing this, Fan Xiaodan smiled and said "Okay grandma."

Seeing the scene outside and seeing her grandma, Fan Xifeng paused for a moment to looked at her grandma with reddened eyes. She remembered that a part of that dream, less than a month after the failed engagement, yes, her engagement with Han Ziwei will fail, her grandma died because of a sudden heart attack. Fan Xiaodan who was around the house that time found their grandmother lying lifeless inside the master's bedroom. The old master Fan was out to play cards at a friend's house that day. Unfortunately, no one except Fan Xiaodan found their grandmother's dead body.

'Grandma.'

After calming her emotion, Fan Xifeng went out of the car. Seeing old madam's face, the grandma who when she was healthier would go back and fourth from the Capital to Country A just to see her and Fan Xiaodan died without having anyone around saddened Cecaniah.

It may just be a dream but who knows, that dream may also be a warning of something about to happen. " Fengfeng my beloved!" The old madam Fan called out her name seeing her out of the car. "Grandma!" Fan Xifeng also called to her and hugged the older madam tightly as if afraid of letting go.

This surprised the old Madame Fan and in her heart surged a comfortable warm emotion. "You ah, acting spoiled after not visiting your grandma even just for once!" The old madam Fan sound angry but her joyful expression betrayed it.

"Grandma, you know Fan Xifeng was so busy preparing for my transfer here right? I've been calling you somehow." Fan Xifeng remembered that she used to call her grandma every other night to check her and her grandpa. This meeting with her grandmother isn't like what happened from that dream. Due to overthinking earlier over the dream she had from the plane, Fan Xifeng didn't realized that her subconscious drifted away and once again, she fell asleep. From that dream she could remember, Fan Xifeng went together with her parents that's why she never really had this moment.

"Hmp. That's not enough for grandma."

"I know Grandma. Please forgive this unfilial granddaughter. This granddaughter will make up those years by accompanying grandma every time she's free!" Fan Xifeng promised which made the old madam Fan smiled in glee.

"Enough, enough, grandma knows you well. Let's go inside. The weather turned cold, you might get sick."

Seeing the worry from her grandma for her when in fact, she's much older and weaker than her made Fan Xifeng remember her dream about her death once again. She stared at the old woman and said, "Grandma, after dinner, I want to discuss with you and your caretaker about your health."

"What?" The old madam Fan frowned in confusion although hearing that her beloved granddaughter is worried about her health, the old madam Fan could only nod in agreement. "Okay."
