10 School days and secret lives

The morning light, warm and gentle, streamed into Victor's room, nudging him awake.

Checking the time, he muttered, "7:25, time for school."

The warm shower refreshed him, washing away the sleepiness. Afterward, he dressed in his simple white shirt and black trousers.

In the kitchen, he prepared toast with peanut butter, a familiar comfort. "Perfect," he said, taking a bite.

Grabbing his bag and keys, he headed out, sliding into the seat of his Mercedes-Benz. With a quiet thanks to his brother for the car, he drove off towards school.

Within 15 minutes, Victor arrived at the school grounds. He drove his car into the parking lot.

Surrounding him were several cars; this was a special place for vehicles, and only a few students brought their own.

Usually they come from wealthy families.

Victor got out of his car and walked to the classroom.

Adenville High School was a public school that did not specialize in cultivating students to become Magus.

There were several high schools that specialized in training students to become Magus. Most of them were affiliated with academies or sects.

"Victor," a voice, soft as a summer breeze, drifted toward him.

He turned, his gaze landing on the familiar face of Candice Genevie, his girlfriend.

Candice looked stunning with her beautiful face, short black hair and well-proportioned body.

"Hey, good morning," she greeted, a warm smile lighting up her face.

"Good morning, Candice," Victor responded, his own smile mirroring hers.

"There's something different about you lately, Victor," Candice noted, taking his hand in hers.

Victor, wrapping his arm around Candice's waist, replied, "Is that so? I haven't really noticed."

Candice laughed lightly, "Victor, a lot of people are looking at us. Aren't you embarrassed?"

"Why should I be embarrassed? We can kiss here if you want," Victor said with a grin.

Candice blushed, the rosy hue coloring her cheeks contrasting with her ebony hair. She leaned closer, her heart pounding like a frantic drum in her chest.

"Victor, I have something to tell you," Candice murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.

"What is it?" Victor asked, his voice low and comforting.

"After school, would you like to go on a date with me?" Candice proposed, her voice shy but hopeful.

Victor thought for a moment, knowing he had plans to hunt monsters after school. But seeing Candice's hopeful expression, he couldn't refuse.

"Sure, I'll make time for a date with you," Victor agreed, his smile reassuring.

"Really? Thank you, Victor," Candice exclaimed joyfully, wrapping her arms around him in a warm embrace.

In that moment, amidst the hustle and bustle of the schoolyard, they were in their own world.

Victor enjoyed the warm embrace and stroking Candice's hair.

However, their intimate moment was abruptly interrupted by a newcomer. A tall, graceful girl approached them, her arms burdened with textbooks. Her uniform was adorned with the emblem of the student council and her nametag read 'Veronica'.

"I think this is not the right place for intimacy," Eleanor chided, crossing her arms in a stern display.

Victor let go of Candice and straightened up, looking at Eleanor with a calm expression.

"We were just saying our goodbyes before heading to class," Victor glanced at her suit and read her name, "Veronica," he added with a charming smile.

Veronica's expression turned cold, "Was it necessary to hug?"

"Hey, we're not trying to cause any trouble. We just like to have a little fun," Victor said with a smile.

Veronica frowned, "I'm not sure breaking the rules counts as 'fun,'"

Victor leaned closer to Veronica and said, "Perhaps you need to loosen up a bit, Eleanor. Life's too short not to savor it."

Veronica's expression hardened as she replied, "I take my responsibilities seriously. Now, please go to the classroom."

"Alright then, we'll be heading to class now, Miss Veronica," said Victor, his voice laced with a hint of amusement as he took Candice's hand.

The warmth of her fingers intertwined with his, and they walked towards the classroom.

***********

Victor and Candice made their way up to the third floor of Adenville High School, where their classroom was located.

As they opened the door, the chatter of students greeted them. The air was thick with the scent of pencil shavings, and textbook pages.

Victor walked to his seat near the back of the classroom, taking in the view of the schoolyard through the window. The sun's rays shone through the glass, creating a warm glow on his face.

Candice, on the other hand, sat at the front of the class.

"Yo, Victor," a familiar voice called out.

Victor looked up and saw a guy his age approaching him and sitting in the seat in front of him.

He recognized him instantly; it was William Blake, his close friend.

"William, you look happy today. Are you finally back together with your girlfriend?" Victor asked provocatively.

William's excited expression disappeared in an instant. "Come on, man, let's not talk about it. I have an extra ticket for a concert tonight. Are you going?"

"Who's playing?" Victor asked.

"It's called Blue Rose. I heard the singer is beautiful and sexy. Want to come with me tonight?" William replied, his tone sounded excited.

Victor considered it for a moment before shaking his head. "Thanks for the offer, William, but I don't think I can make it. I have plans with Candice tonight."

William looked a bit disappointed. "If it's about Candice, then I guess I have to give up. Have fun with her tonight," William said as he patted Victor's shoulder.

Victor smiled slightly and nodded.

And at that moment, a teacher entered the classroom, making the students return to their seats.

"Good morning, students. Today we will learn about elemental connections..."

************

As noon rolled around, the school day reached its end. Victor and Candice, ready to embrace the afternoon, walked out of the school building towards the parking lot.

Victor's Mercedes-Benz was parked amongst a crowd of vehicles, standing out with its polished, sleek appearance. He courteously opened the passenger door for Candice, who slid in with a warmful smile.

Victor hopped into the driver's seat, started the engine, and with a shared glance of excitement, they took off.

The school gradually disappeared behind them as they ventured into the city, their destination known only to them, promising an enjoyable afternoon ahead.
