50 Urs and Hans vs Bloodbanes

The ground trembled. Dark energy began to spread around the vicinity. The air vibrated, creating what seemed like a tremor field. After a brief pause, the dark energy plunged into the ground.

Urs maintained his concentration as to not affect the domain stability.

Suddenly, unknown creatures popped out of the abyss. From monsters and other varieties of species, all of them roared in anticipation. Some intelligent summoned creatures even spoke.

"My King."

"My King."

"My King."

One by one, they started kneeling and waited for the commands.

Meanwhile, Hans observed the process and was shocked by how many summoned creatures Urs had in his arsenal. Based on his approximate count, the number should be at least thousands. Their strength was amazing too, even the weakest summon has an aura of an A-class Awakened. Hans' gaze darted towards the four humanoid monsters kneeling closely to Urs.

One of them has a silver wing on his back and an elegant masculine figure.

Another one has a full streak of black lines all over his body. His chiseled face and otherworldly aura even attracted the mana around him.

Next to it, a woman wearing a demon mask lowered her head. She wore light armor and a sword hung on her waist.

As for the last summon, who seemed to be the strongest of them all, his features were covered by a black full body armor. In his hand, he held a greatsword with crown patterns engraved in it.

All these four emitted the aura of an SS-Class at least.

"Are you ready, Hans?" Urs asked.

Without a thought, Hans answered firmly, "Yeah, let's do it."

At the same time, Urs raised his hand and signaled his summon to charge.

Like a moth to a flame, the two sides clashed in the center.

 .......

Unknown Dimension.

After a bright light, everyone appeared inside an unknown place. The Awakeners held their heads as dizziness assaulted their senses. The SS-Class quickly adjusted after the shift of space but even then, their bodies still felt giddy.

"Where are we?"

Everyone surveyed the area. Aside from the floating island above their heads, the place was no different from Earth's lush green land. However, the mana seemed denser and stronger here.

Freya got up, brushed off the dirt on her gears, and observed their situation. Based on the spatial structures, she concluded that they were inside another dimension. She lifted her heavy foot and trudged towards the pond nearby the area. The glistening moonlight reflected upon her face.

She scooped her hand and drank the water.

'It's real.'

No signs of illusion whatsoever. She looked behind and called the other Awakened.

"We're transported into another dimension."

As soon as she spoke, everyone immediately responded and it wasn't pleasing to the ear.

"Fuck it! I shouldn't have come here."

"What do we do now?"

Freya clenched her fist and took a deep breath. Even with her title as the Strongest Mage, her skills and expertise weren't enough to travel through dimensions. This place could be considered inside the dungeon and forcefully going out by teleportation wouldn't work.

"Hang on, where's Urs?"

"Urs?"

Everyone frantically turned their heads around, hoping to see a glimpse of Urs' shadow. Unfortunately, no one saw him.

"N-no way!"

"Hey, where's Urs!?"

"Don't tell me he was left alone there!?"

"This is getting worse…"

Remembering the horde of S-class and SS-Class monsters, everyone's face became gloomy. Urs was no doubt an excellent Awakened, but no matter how much power he exerted, he won't be able to make a difference alone. What's more, the man named Aviante, wouldn't just sit back and watch his kin being skirmished.

However, Freya has another concern.

'Hans.'

That guy already got his potential back if he was able to exert that much power back then. An SSS-Class Awakened shouldn't die there. She closed her eyes, blaming herself for the lack of consideration. By being with Urs, she thought Hans could be safer but it only got worse.

'I need to find a way to transfer someone there.'

Even if she can't, she has to. Freya steeled her mind.

"I'm surprised, you guys haven't pissed your pants yet."

At that moment, a deep and cold voice echoed inside their heads. Everyone looked towards the place where the voice was coming from.

.........…..

Swish—

Hans dashed at the nearest monster. It was a werewolf. With a kick of his foot, his speed accelerated even more, breaking the sound barrier as he instantly appeared under its nose. Hans stabs its heart immediately killing it in one shot.

If his level wasn't locked, he might have already leveled up many times.

Swoosh—

Behind him, a piercing arrow reached his knee, Hans twisted his body successfully dodging the strike.

He sprinted towards the attacker and cleanly slashed its neck.

Shring—

Blood dyed his gears but Hans wasn't bothered.

The adrenaline and excitement gave him seemingly endless stamina.

Roooaaarrr!!!!—

Woosh—

Booom—

A deafening explosion swept through near his side. He looked around and saw an orc casting magic spells toward the enemies.

Shrumm—

Beside it, a pale Frost elf held his bow as he fired 5 arrows in one string pull. The arrow hit the enemies knees instantly rendering their movement. Hans grasped this opportunity and quickly decapitated the beasts.

[Constantine Sword Style: First Cut.]

Swish —

The monster's head fell to the ground. Their bodies followed after with a thud. Urs' summoned stared at him with narrowed gazes before jovially giving him a thumbs up.

Hans cheerfully smiled and raised his thumb as well.

'Man, they're awesome.'

Urs summons were very different from other necromancers. The world knew that necromancers summoned the dead back to its body but its appearance would change, either to skeletons or undead.

However, Urs summons not only retained their previous appearance, the power that they could exert also reached about 90% of their primes. They could communicate as well and were much nicer than any other necromancer summons he met.

'And they are organized.'

Strategically, this was a plus in fighting battles with multiple enemies. The summons synergy was just off the charts. But he hadn't had time to admire those as a giant boulder went his way.

Hans leaped to the air and sent a flaming slash towards the horde of enemies. The space vibrated, sending multiple signals to the enemies that an attack is coming.

However, before they could think of evading, Hans flashed behind them and with a blinding movement. His sword whirled towards their heads separating it from their necks.

Shring—

"Haah, that was easy."

Hans lashed his sword, brushing off the blood on its blades.

Splat—

"But it's not enough."

As he closed his eyes, a red hue began to wrap around his body.

.........….

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Urs and his 4 generals, fought the 20 SS-Class monsters. As his summons have unlimited stamina, they continuously spammed physical skills.

Urs manipulated his mana to shape into razor-sharp arrows. Like an army of archers attacking, the enemies were bombarded by the rain of arrows containing death attributes.

Baaam—

Baaam—

'If this continues, I will die.'

Although it seemed like the battle was in a stalemate, he knew that it was just a matter of time before the balance broke. What's more, Urs could feel that these monsters seemed to be holding back a lot of power.

If an SS-Class Awakened can destroy a small country alone, what's stopping these guys?

As thoughts filled his mind, a voice echoed in his head. One of his four generals was in trouble. Without thinking, Urs pulled a spear from his inventory and bolted towards Geena.

Geena is the only woman in his 4 generals. He got her from raiding an Indigo Colored Dungeon in Giza. According to her, she was a warrior from the past who served the king until her death.

Even though they are considered dead, Urs believed that his summons were alive. Therefore, he can't let anyone die under his nose.

Swish—

Holding a spear in his right hand, Urs leaped through the air and bashed it down the ground.

Baaam—

Shatter—

The earth shattered from the force, separating the enemies and his summons temporarily.

"My King, you don't have to do that."

"Shut up."

Urs' eyes narrowed sharply towards these robed monsters. Aside from their tough bodies, they could also manipulate blood. However, his purgatory domain contains something they couldn't move thus, was unable to utilize their blood skills to the fullest.

The battle is nearing its climax. Howls of agony and pain resounded throughout the battlefield. Urs stood behind his summons and closed his eyes, cutting off the noises around the surroundings.

As his mind delved inside the eyes of his summons, Urs displayed a satisfied face.

'You did a great job, Hans.'

The number of monsters continuously decreased at an alarming rate and yet these guys seemed clueless.

'I should use it now.'

Suddenly, black energy escaped from his palms, pouring inside the bodies of the dead monsters. Their decapitated heads grew back and their wounds healed as well. The spectacular sight is truly magical.

Soon, these monsters twitched until their bodies began to move. Without a single second, these monsters became part of his army.

[Grasp of the Harvester.]

Seeing the monsters overwhelmed, Urs grinned in delight.

.......

Weapons clicked and spells collided. The battle became fierce as time passed. With the addition of newly respawned allies, Hans' job became easier. Due to his sword's overpowered functions, Hans was able to fight with the S-class monster toe to toe. Now that their attention is in disarray, Hans was able to weave his sword around multiple enemies without so much effort.

When his sword style proficiency reached 20%, something incredible happened.

[Concentration Increases…]

[Proficiency increases by 0.8%]

[Constantine Sword Style Variation Unlocked.]

[First Cut: Piercing Gale.]

He acquired another variation!

Aside from 'Flowing Water', his sword style has another variation he could use. However, he had no time to check the system prompts, and the monsters bolted immediately towards his location.

As a horde of bloodbanes attack in close proximity, Hans decides to use his newly acquired sword skill. He readied his stance.

[Constantine Sword Style…]

Shu—

His mind suddenly reached an unknown place where the only sound of howling winds could be heard.

Subconsciously, Hans dashed forward at blinding speed.

Swish—

At that moment, his eyes abruptly turned hazy.

[First Cut…]

The wind energy danced around his blade.

[Piercing Gale.]

Swish—

Instantly, he appeared under the vampire's sights and stabbed the blade to its heart, forming an arrow pattern behind his tracks. With its heart shredded by the small wind blades, the vampire fell to the ground.

Thud—

Hans cocked his head behind and stared at the long crater he made.

'Not bad.'

The 'Piercing Gale' is a single but deadly attack skill. Based on his measurement, it should be enough to pierce an S-rank spell.

That just showcases how ridiculously overpowered this B-rank sword style is. A familiar voice sounded in his mind but Hans ignored it for now and continued his massacre.

The red form has a limit. He can't waste any minute now.

.........…

Washington DC.

National Awakened Association Headquarters.

Main Office.

Baam—

"What happened!" Director Thomas slammed his fists and yelled at the phone. The hairs on his back stood up, showing that he was angry. A few minutes earlier, an agent reported that the place where the Gathering was organized cannot be entered anymore. They tried any possible ways to crack it but unfortunately, they could not do it.

A stuttering voice responded on the other line.

—"D-director! We picked up signals from Freya Taylor and…"

"And?"

"... a-and she's asking for help!"

"Huh?"

As if he heard a ridiculous statement, Thomas pushed the phone away and contemplated if his hearing was getting worse.

'Am I hearing things?'

He lightly tapped the table and hearing its loud snap, his eyes contracted. Thomas put the phone back in his ear.

"Say it again."

The man on the other line quickly spoke.

—"F-Freya Taylor is asking for help sir!"

Indeed, he's not hearing things.

"Tell me the details."

As the agent explained what happened, Thomas' face gradually crunched in a frown. The office's atmosphere became clogged by an overwhelming pressure that shattered even the wall.

"Oi, what's your name?"

—"Agent Bugs, D-Director."

"Listen to me, bug… DON'T FUCKING CALL ME AGAIN AND Call THEIR COUNTRIES INSTEAD!!!"

Agent Bugs grimaced hearing the director yell on the phone. He gulped his saliva and answered.

—"B-but Director, wouldn't they blame us? I me—"

"Did you not hear me!!!?? Get your ass out there and call their countries!!! Tell them their Awakeners are in danger!!!"

—"Y-yes, sir!"

"They die, we die as well. You understand me!!?"

—"Y-yes sir!"

Tut—, tut—

Thomas threw the phone on the ground and leaned back on his chair. The smoke from the cigar pot continued to envelop the room in a burnt smell.

'Sigh…'

Thomas held his watch and dialed a number from it. This is not a case only the USA should be involved in. This news might be a threat to the human race.

However, only a question bothered his mind.

In the end, what the hell happened there?
