85 Black Hole

He already had a hunch but he was not certain if Hans really held one of the keys. Amador, the other soul inside his body, said that he felt the presence of a King around Hans.

That means, he's either a King or he has an item of a King. The latter is much more believable.

"Oh, this guy again?"

Amador's voice echoed in his head. It was hard living with another soul in the body as he couldn't get a peaceful rest every time he slept.

"Yeah, our guess was right. It seemed like he had the last item."

"Hmm… his aura is more refined than you, Gab. Be careful of him."

Gab chuckled, "Ha, ha, I guess I need to increase my workload huh?"

Meeting Hans back in New York, Gab already knew that Hans was extraordinary. He even has a hunch that Hans might be the Hans Luther whose potential was nailed to the ground after an accident inside a dungeon.

Even then, this thought immediately vanished from his mind. Hans Luther was smaller in height and shape compared to the Hans he's seeing right now.

Their appearance was like heaven and earth— worlds apart.

"Anyways, they are here now."

Gab raised his head. Two people hovered above their location with hostility in their eyes. Their huge wings shoved the wind towards his face, creating some sort of heated atmosphere.

Sweats oozed out of his forehead. Even without guessing, Gab already knew what the enemies' identity was.

With a good-looking pale face with fingernails enough to become a claw and sharp-pointed fangs protruding out of their mouths, even a child could guess what they are.

'Vampires.'

Although vampires seemed invincible, they still have weaknesses.

"Will you use it? Or want me to switch with you?" Amador's rough voice suggested.

"No, just lend me stats. I'll do it myself."

Amador's powers could be said to be sealed inside him. Meaning, every time he became stronger a portion of that power would be unlocked, making it his own.

However, there's also another one.

It was [Take Over].

A skill that lets Amador have complete control over his body. The only downside is that the power he could exert is limited. To solve this problem, Gab needs to level up and continue to become stronger.

He was only at Level 93 despite having been boosted by several A-class Awakened his father hired. Every day, they would raid Green Colored Dungeons for 10 hours.

However, because of the Ruined King's Tomb, their raiding time was reduced.

Due to this, Gab's original power could only be measured at B-class. However, with Amador's [Take Over], he could fight several S-class monsters without losing an inch.

Of course, it's not really his power. In the end, all of that is just borrowed.

"Alright." Amador did not pursue the issue anymore and quietly closed his eyes.

Sensing Amador's tranquil state, Gab smiled.

"Old Man, I'll make you proud."

Gab waited for a response. Then, he received a nod.

At that moment.

Clang—, clang—

Gab stretched his hand in the air and a chained scythe appeared in his palms. It was an all-black weapon with silver lines wrapped on the scythe edges. Forged from the fangs of a White Saber Tooth Tiger, its sharpness and durability are unmatched.

Clang—

"Although my control is not perfect yet, it should be enough to stall time."

So far, his control over this weapon is far from Amador's proficiency. Actually, Gab was weaker than Hans and he knows it. Without Amador, he's just a B-class Awakened.

Due to this, he wanted to at least prove himself and become worthy of the Ruined King's inheritance.

Gab's eyes glared at the two vampires. Then, a smirk formed on his lips.

"You two would be a good practice dummy."

Clang—!

He grasped the end of the chain and the handle of the scythe. A burst of energy overflowed inside his body, nourishing his muscles and giving him an enormous boost in stats.

"Well, then…" He said.

Shu—!

Pitch black mana wrapped around his weapon. Due to this, its power was amplified even further.

Acula and Ocula glided towards Gab, more specifically at Hans who was still in deep sleep. They didn't even bother about Gab, who was already waiting for their gradual approach.

At that moment, a sense of dread enveloped their countenance.

Whip–!

Gab threw the scythe while keeping the chain in his hand.

"Watch Out!!" Acula shouted.

"Too late, motherfuckers." Gab said and quickly maneuvered the chains, forcing the scythe to change direction.

Riiip—!

Shu—!

The air vibrated as the scythe seemingly shredded it down. The scythe reached Ocula's arms and quickly severed his right hand.

Rip—!

Ocula tried to dodge but the speed of the weapon was too fast to react. In the end, his only choice was to give up one of his arms and regenerate it back after a short retreat.

However…

Clang—, clang—

The chains of the scythe locked him up. Acula, on the other side, immediately noticed this and took this opportunity to strike Gab while his weapon remained stuck on his brother's.

Swish—!

Acula brandished his claws and aimed at Gab's head.

Slash—, slash—!

Four mana claws instantly arrive in front of him. Gab narrowed his eyes and smiled. Although the attack was deadly, his demeanor remained calm.

"Well…"

[Switch]

Swish—!

Gab's figure disappeared, not leaving any traces. In an instant the claws hit his previous position, it happened.

Swish—

Ocula's locked figure appeared in his stead.

"!!!"

Acula tried to help but his position was far. Even if he teleported behind Ocula, he would also be caught by his own attack.

Slice—, slice—, slice—!

"Arghhh!!!!"

Ocula roared in pain. With his locked hands, he couldn't even block it. No, he won't be able to block it as it happened in a flash.

Cuts appeared in his body and blood gushed out of those wounds. It wasn't fatal but it sure took a toll on his body. If there was an attack that could injure a vampire, it was an attack of another vampire.

Drip—, drip—

The chains binding his hands withdrew. Acula approached him and healed the damage he received. They lowered their heads and looked at Hans' location but he was already gone.

Frustrated, the two raised their heads.

Gab floated in the air, right at the exact location where Ocula was previously locked up. After their brief analysis, the two agreed on one thing.

"Be careful getting bound by the chains. It seems like he could switch himself instantly to the other side of his weapon." Ocula warned. The previous experience caught him off guard.

"I'll be careful brother."

However, with this information, the enemy would be even more tricky to defeat.

Meanwhile, Gab nodded after seeing them heal their wounds to their previously perfect state. It seemed like he had to up his performance even more.

Not bothering about the two vampires' dilemma, Gab spun the chained scythe above his head. The air on the surroundings interlocked with his weapon, producing a violent wind tornado around his radius.

Swooosh—

Then…

"If I destroy you into minced meat, can your regeneration keep up?"

At that moment.

The tornado seemingly slowed down in rotation.

[Torrential Serpentine Tornado]

Whirl—, whirl—, whirl—!

The surroundings blurred as the now giant tornado obscured their vision. Everything was sucked around as if the space was collapsing.

'Space collapsing?!'

As if realizing something, the two vampires shuffled their feet and hurriedly rushed outside the eye of the tornado.

"Use your teleport Acula!!!!!"

"I can't!!!!!"

The two took a glance at Gab and saw a playful grin on his lips.

"Break." A small voice echoed amidst the whirring notice. Then, as if the tornado cracked, shards of broken mirrors fell into nothingness.

The true appearance of Gab's skill was revealed.

"DAMN IT!! I KNEW IT!!!"

Acula couldn't help but curse. Gab's attack wasn't in the form of a tornado in the first place.

'Instead.'

It was…

[Scythe Technique: Black Hole Emergence]

… a black hole.

Shruuuum—

...…..

Venice, Italy.

5 hours have passed since Hans entered the tomb.

At this moment, the sudden increase in mana density alerted the higher-ups of the country. Even the temporary help, Freya and Miguel, have grim expressions etched on their faces.

Although this seems like a blessing for Awakened, for ordinary humans, it was a catastrophe.

Several reports of people dying on the spot were reported. The Awakened immediately evacuated the citizens outside the city. Fortunately, Freya was coincidentally there so the job has become easier.

Even then, the casualties couldn't be prevented.

[Deaths reported- 1,322 people.]

They were the unfortunate ones who lost their lives before the help even came.

As such, people panicked. The government held a meeting while Freya and Miguel stationed themselves around the area where the mana concentration was the strongest.

There, a portal, resembling a dungeon gate appeared in their visions.

However…

"It seemed like we couldn't enter it." Miguel said after he placed his hand inside, only to get rejected.

"No." Freya objected, "rather, we're not allowed to."

Looking at the portal the size of a small house door, a glimpse of curiosity appeared in her eyes. For some reason, she was troubled by the appearance of such a strange brown-colored portal.

'Is it a new one?'

Unknowingly, Freya stretched her hand towards it. Miguel saw her actions and just decided to ignore them.

At that moment, his sense screamed in danger.

Swish—, Swish—, Swish—, swish—!

Eight masked figures appeared under the shadows of a large tree shade. Two hands grabbed Freya's hands and one of them pierced a syringe onto her neck, immediately paralyzing her.

Realizing the appearance of a suspected enemy, she tried to retaliate but…

'My mana!!!'

… her mana was drained. Having lost her strength, Freya kneeled on the ground.

Thud—

Her visions gradually blurred and lightheadedness assaulted her mind. The voices behind her became muffled and her senses seemingly began to close off.

Tinggggg—

A ringing sound resounded in her ears before her consciousness was finally swallowed by the darkness.

One of the eight masked figures lifted Freya up and entered the brown portal.

"Retreat!!" He shouted. The other seven nodded.

But…

"Don't think about leaving!!" Miguel's eyes changed into beast-like pupils resembling that of a lion.

His large muscles bulged as tension built up on his veins. Without worrying about the damage, Miguel flashed behind these masked figures and slammed his fists towards their heads.

SLAM—!

The ground shattered. On a mile radius, the tiled floor was uprooted from the ground. Even then, his attack did not hit anyone.

The dust gradually settled, revealing a giant crater stretching for about a mile. Miguel's eyes swept around the vicinity like a predator hunting for the prey.

However, as the clear view entered his sights, the eight masked figure was already gone together with Freya.

The portal that was used for the escape was also gone.

Grip—

Miguel clenched his fists as a heavy sighed escape from his mouth. The ground on his foot quivered as a large amount of pressure leaked out of his body. Rage filled his eyes as he recalled how Freya was easily abducted.

All of it happened in mere seconds.

If not for those seven masked men stopping him, he could have saved her at least.

The moment he recalled the appearance of those eight, a sudden picture came into his mind.

At the back of their black robes, a large silver eye was engraved. He didn't know any information about them but Miguel was certain that he already had seen it somewhere.

"Silver eyes with golden lines on the pupil… mysterious people… masked group… no doubt." He muttered in a hoarse voice.

They are from 'Illuminati'.
