1 Boring Birthday Party

At the end of the three thousandth century, a strange phenomenon occurred on earth.

That phenomenon is the emergence of a pitch-black tower that soars high into the sky in every country.

In addition to the emergence of the tower, there are other things that appear, and that other things are portals that appeared randomly.

There is a portal that appears in someone's house, there is a portal that appears in the middle of the road, there is a portal that appears in the sky, and so on.

Humans consider this phenomenon as something interesting because they can't explain how the portals appear along with the appearance of the pitch-black tower in every country.

Every scientist in every country is competing to research the portals and towers that appear in their country.

Months passed, but their research yielded no results, and ended with the government's final decision to close access to the portals, as well as the tower.

A few weeks after access to the portal and tower was closed, suddenly there was a portal outbreak all over the world.

From within the portals emerged various types of monsters that can't be explained naturally, they look like sinister and cruel creatures.

These creatures chase other living things around them, and of course that includes humans.

Streets, vehicles, settlements, buildings, not a single one escaped being destroyed by those creatures.

Screams and cries were heard everywhere, the world was in chaos.

However, when the world becomes chaotic, humans awaken the power from within themselves which they then call themselves as hunters.

These hunters unite their powers to hunt these creatures and in the end they can bring peace back to the world.

When the world was at peace, these hunters decided to form an association with governments from all over the world called the International Hunter Association.

Ten years have passed.

We move on to the residence of a yakuza boss named Takahashi Jin.

Takahashi Jin is a yakuza boss of the Takahashi clan.

He is known for his ruthlessness and viciousness working behind the scenes of the Japanese government to keep his country safe from those who try to undermine it.

There isn't a single person in Japan who doesn't know his name, most people who hear his name just choose to remain silent and try not to get involved as if they don't know anything about Takahashi Jin.

However, Takahashi Jin is known by people for his ruthlessness and viciousness working behind the scenes of the Japanese government, turns out to have another side of him.

"Come on Rei, make a funny face for your grandfather." Takahashi Jin said to Takahashi Rei in a friendly tone.

"I won't do it, don't force me to do it grandpa." Takahashi Rei said to Takahashi Jin in an annoyed tone.

Takahashi Jin really loves his grandson, he is even too overprotective to cause Takahashi Rei to have a hard time making friends.

Takahashi Rei is the only grandson of Takahashi Jin.

Takahashi Rei's father and mother divorced when Takahashi Rei was a child, and each of Takahashi Rei's parents brought Rei's twin younger sisters.

Takahashi Jin who is not willing if Takahashi Rei is taken by one of his parents chooses to become Rei's guardian.

Back to the present where today is Takahashi Rei's seventeenth birthday.

In a room of the Takahashi clan's residence, Takahashi Rei, Takahashi Jin, and several of Takahashi Jin's subordinates were sitting with Takahashi Rei in the middle of the room.

Takahashi Rei sat in the middle facing a birthday cake with a lit candle on it.

"Grandpa, can you let me go? I want to go for a walk today." Takahashi Rei said to Takahashi Jin who was right in front of him.

"Ah, come on.. Let's spend this wonderful day with your grandfather and these uncles." Takahashi Jin said to Takahashi Rei in a friendly tone.

'Sigh.. Even though today there will be a Huter Fight match which will be held in Shibuya. I'd really like to go there instead of spending my time with these boring old people.' Takahashi Rei thought as he sighed.

Hunter Fight or abbreviated as HF is a match between two hunters in a special battlefield called the Hunter Fight Ring or abbreviated as HFR.

In this match, both hunters will be allowed to use their skills in front of the general public for entertainment purposes only.

The winner will usually be given a prize in the form of a bunch of money.

'Today, I should be able to watch the match between Shikimori Kazuya and Hakuro Izumi if it wasn't for these boring birthday party.' Takahashi Rei though as he looked to the katana that was next to Takahashi Jin.

Without saying a word, Takahashi Rei suddenly jumped at Takahashi Jin and picked up the katana that was right beside him.

Having managed to get the katana, Takahashi Rei jumped back into the middle of the room.

"I'm bored if we just have this boring birthday party, come on all of you fight me, and if I win. Let me get out of here." Takahashi Rei said as he looked around him.

"Hey, my dear grandson.. You dare to challenge your grandfather huh?" Takahashi Jin said to Takahashi Rei in a slightly angry tone.

"Come on grandpa, I will fight you with all my strength." Takahashi Rei said to Takahashi Jin while signaling with his hand to Takahashi Jin indicating that he was trying to challenge him.

"Everyone stay where you are and no one dares to stand up or interfere, I will teach this brat a lesson myself." Takahashi Jin said as he stood up.

Even though Takahashi Jin really loves his grandson, he doesn't hesitate to teach his grandson a lesson when he feels that his grandson has gone too far.

Takahashi Jin jumped at Takahashi Rei and tried to trip Takahashi Rei's leg.

However, Takahashi Rei managed to dodge it by jumping into the air.

"Oi, oi, oi... Is that all, old man?" Takahashi Rei said to mocking Takahashi Jin as he slowly fell down.

"Shadow hands." Takahashi Jin said quietly.

Suddenly all the shadows in the room moved in the air to form hands which then entangled Takahashi Rei.

Takahashi Jin is actually besides a yakuza boss, he is also a hunter with shadow master class, moreover he is one of the hunters who formed the International Hunter Association with the governments.

"Give up Rei, and apologize to these uncles. Even though they have worked hard to prepare this party for you, but you want to get out of here instead." Takahashi Jin said as he walked slowly towards Takahashi Rei.

"I know, but I have something important to attend, grandpa." Takahashi Rei said as he smirked.

Takahashi Rei drew out the katana he was holding and he used it to cut his grandfather's shadow hands skill.

Of course it worked because the katana that Takahashi Rei was holding was the Moonlight Katana, S rank weapon that could be used against his grandfather's shadow hands skill.

Takahashi Rei then immediately ran and jumped through his grandfather's subordinates who were keep silent from the start and he broke through the door of the room.

Takahashi Rei sheathed the Moonlight Katana and kept running until he finally managed to get out of the Takahashi clan residence.

Barefoot, Rei ran towards Shibuya because he wanted to get to Shibuya from Kanto as soon as possible.

It was clear that in the middle of the trip Rei was tired because the weather that day was so hot because it was summer.

Rei who really wanted to watch the Hunter Fight match between Shikimori Kazuya and Hakuro Izumi did not give up and kept going.

Even though the soles of his feet were starting to hurt and sweat was soaking his whole body, Rei kept walking and walking, until in the end he became a spectacle of many people because he was thought to be doing a challenge or something.

In the end, Rei managed to get to Shibuya on foot and just as he arrived, the Hunter Fight match between Shikimori Kazuya and Hakuro Izumi was just about to start.

'I'm glad that I was able to come on time.' Rei thought as he tried to stabilize his gasping breath.

The match was held in the middle of a bustling city street with the Hunter Fight Ring covering the entire area.

"Good afternoon everyone~ Today... We will be watching the Hunter Fight match between Shikimori Kazuya and Hakuro Izumi!" A female host wearing a neat black suit said from the middle of the Hunter Fight Ring.

"Introducing, on the left side is Shikimori Kazuya who is a rank A hunter with rank A class martial arts expert." The host continued.

A blue light appears and the light shining on Shikimori Kazuya, who looks like he has blonde hair and wearing a gray hoodie.

"While on the right side, there is Hakuro Izumi who is a rank A hunter with rank A class weapon expert." The host continued again.

A red light appears and the like shining on Hakuro Izumi, who looks like she has long jet-black hair and wearing a plain white shirt.
