1 Prologue

"Urgh! You pieces of junk!" A man shouted, running down a hallway with a minigun in hand. The hallway was fully made of metal, with one door at the end. It was locked by a bunch of debris. The lights in the hallway flickered every so often. At the other end of the hallway were seemingly endless stairs, having no end. "Mike, go upstairs and destroy this core! I'll try to slow them down!" The man ordered. Ahead of him, was another male. They both wore black jackets, and had their faces covered up. The other one, who was heading for the stairs, had a reasonably sized backpack on his shoulder.

"What?! They're hundreds, how do you even plan to get them?!" The other man replied, only shock wore his face.

"Just go!" He insisted. The door broke down, with an army of tall, robotic figures at the end. They all held spears in their hands, looking over at the minigun carrier.

"Zen Sanders. You dared to oppose our rule, you'll fall now." A robot had announced. He was made out of a much better metal than what  the others were. The robot looked quite slim, not coming across as dangerous or deadly. On its forehead were three capitalized letters. SRD. His body was completely dark, and he only had two eyes which emitted a blue glow. His face was devoid of any other features. No nose, no mouth, nothing but two eyes.

"Oh, not today, and not now. Mike! Get out of here!" Zen started up his minigun, which began firing red laser shots at the robots. Despite his best efforts, the robots were too many,  eventually overflowing Zen.

"No one should oppose the rule of RoX. Go follow the other one upstairs, I will leave the building to get our weapons." SRD had commented as Zen fell to the ground. With one swift turn, he left the hallway.

Meanwhile, at the top of the building.

Mike ran all the way up the stairs, finally reaching the end. He could hear the countless footsteps following him up. He needed to go on with the plan. As he reached the final floor, he was welcomed by a metallic door. No matter what he tried, it wouldn't open. Mike pulled out a few bombs from his backpack, which he initially wanted to shut down the core with. Throwing them over at the door, Mike braces for a few seconds. The bombs went off, completely demolishing the door. Mike quickly went through, his heart beating faster as the footsteps got closer. The smoke cleared up, and he saw a mesmerizing, blue goo, kept inside a large glass container. It expelled electricity, quite unstably so. "This is it..." He took in a deep breath, before throwing one last bomb at the container. He ran all the way back, before activating the explosive weapon.

The glass shatters, piercing through the walls of the building. The goo starts expanding at an increasing rate, radiating off heat and electricity as it did.

"Oh... Oh no... This wasn't part of the plan..." Mike muttered, clearly in shock of the outcome.

The goo crawled over to Mike, almost looking like a monster. While it was heading for Mike, other parts of the goo were starting to creep over to the more sensitive devices in the room. It wasn't long until many sirens went off. As the substance devoured the more sensitive machines, some had to inevitably explode. Sadly for Mike, he didn't get to see much of it. The flames ate him alive before the goo did.

As the goo approaches one of the core elements of the room, the room leaves with a colorful explosion. There was an explosion so strong that the metallic walls were liquified. They splashed, melting off any structures nearby. Parts of the goo were seen getting splattered in different directions. Some even flew out of the tower.

The substance penetrated the walls and floors, before starting to crawl down the whole tower. From top to bottom, the tower was getting absolutely devoured. As the supporting poles got eaten away, the tower collapsed, falling over the nearby structures.

Outside the tower

The lights for all the cities went out. One by one, before the dark fully consumed the Earth. The only source of illumination was the bright, full moon. The surrounding robots fell to the ground, one after the other. Drones started raining from the sky as they lost energy. The goo loses energy to keep expanding, and begins to lose its bright blue color. The blue started to fade away into a dead, black color as it cooled down. A metallic pole falls next to SRD, who was about to order more forces to get inside the tower before his energy went out. The pole was covered by a bit of the goo, which had already lost its energy.

The civilization was destroyed. Forever.
