49 Chapter 49: Not good.

After Daisy returned home, she was lost in her own thoughts thinking about the words of her step mother. She trusted Xavier but somewhere inside her, she was scared he would get bored of her one day and leave her as to begin with their marriage was a flash.

She was walking up the stairs while thinking that she did not notice she just skipped one stair and was about to fall. She waited for the impact to come but it never came as an arm wrapped around her body.

"What are you doing? You could have gotten hurt, babygirl. Where is your mind wandering to? You know how injured you'd be if you have fallen off the stairs. Why do you always get me worried?", Xavier chided while he helped her stand properly.

Daisy quietly stared at his face without saying any word. She cupped his face with both her hands and caressed his cheeks with her thumbs. "Did you even hear what I said, babygirl?", he frowned and sighed deeply upon seeing her face.

Everytime he tries to get angry on her, he fails as soon as he sees her cute innocent face.

"Bad wolf, I love you", she said out of the blue taking him by surprise. Xavier blink a few times before his lips stretched into a mesmerizing smile. He leaned down and pecked on her nose tip. "I love you too, my babygirl."

Daisy's eyes fluttered shut when he leaned more and cupped her face into his hand while holding her closer by her waist. His lips met hers and he gently kissed her. His lips sucked her lips simultaneously and nibbled on them.

He loved how sweet her lips always tasted. He loved her anyway.

Daisy's one hand held his upper arm while the other moved to the back of his head. He deepened the kiss while he pulled her impossibly close to himself as if scared of losing her.

If seven months ago, anyone would have told him that he would be in love with a girl who will be one of the most arrogant and spoiled one then he would have surely laughed on his face or punished the person. As in he hates people who disrespect him.

He now feared she will leave him for the things he does and had done in his past. He feared she might leave him when she sees his beast. That he might lose her lose her forever for all the things he wanted to do and wants to do. He was scared she will disappear from his life taking away the small warmth and light he gets from her.

Ever since she came, the mansion that was once cold was filled with her giggles. His room that was all lifeless with black and white theme was now colorful. His life that was filled with all darkness now had lights.

Their moment was interrupted by the meowing of Snowball and roaring of Dan who were playing upstairs. Daisy pulled her gaze away and saw her little kitten who had grown bigger now. It was more healthier.

Snowball jumped towards Daisy only to be caught by Xavier. "Dan, take this little creature away", Xavier said looking at Dan and gave the cat to Dan who held the collar of Snowball and took him away.

Daisy pouted.

"I haven't played with Snowball for a couple of hours", she complained. "You can play with it after you freshen up and have your dinner", Xavier said firmly to which she nodded and sighed dramatically.

It was nine in the morning and Daisy was getting ready for her day out with her friends and Xavier wasn't happy with it. Not that he did not want her to go out and enjoy but because of Brent. He did not like Brent.

Daisy put on dark blue denim shorts, white crop top and black jacket on top and white sneakers. Her hairs were let down. She let her face stay void of any makeup and was done to go and hangout with her friends. She looked cute as always.

"See you, bad wolf. Love you", she pecked on his lips and rushed out of the mansion as she was getting late. They have decided to meet at the mall as they planned on watching a movie first. Xavier had asked Daisy to come before 6 in the evening to which she agreed.

Daisy excitedly got into her car and was drove to the mall where she was supposed to meet her friends but when she reached there, she saw that only Brent and Vinnie were there. She walked towards them and greeted them.

Vinnie hugged Daisy so tightly that at a point Daisy had to push off the girl. "Where are Owen and Liana?", Daisy asked. "Liana is on the way but Owen couldn't come. His mom forced him to go for some wedding of his distant cousin", Vinnie said with a chuckle.

"Oh." Daisy turned to Brent and smiled. "Why are you so quiet?", she asked. Brent was usually the quiet one in their group but today he was way too quiet which was kind of unusual. He had been staring at Daisy since she came.

"Nothing... I missed you", he said after a long pause. Daisy wanted to give him a hug but then she remembered that Xavier did not like it so she just gave him a smile and some friendly words like every other friend.

Suddenly, a shriek was heard and Liana attacked Daisy with her hug. "Girl, you are rocking. You are literally everywhere on the internet. I'm so proud of you", Liana said in a single breath. Daisy giggled.

"Your bad wolf surely takes care of you a lot", Vinnie teased and Daisy blushed. Brent stood by the side watching everything. His expression was blank.

It was hard to guess what was going on in his mind.

After watching a movie, the four of them came out talking about how the actor looked handsome and how much of good movie it was. Daisy felt relaxed being with her friends but she felt that Brent was being too unusual today.

"Brent, are you okay? Is something bothering you?", Daisy asked as they walked inside a restaurant. Brent turned to her and shook his head giving her a small smile.

"What should we order...", Vinnie was cut off when her mobile rang. She took a look at the called ID and excused herself. Liana stood up and went to use the restroom leaving Breant and Daisy all alone.

"Daisy, will you believe me if I say something?", Brent asked after a while. Daisy turned to him and gave a small nod. "You are my friend. Why would I not believe you? Tell me what's bothering you."

"He is not good for you", Brent said but Daisy seemed confused. "I'm talking about Xavier. It's no doubt that he is rich and good looking but Daisy he is not good for you", Brent added.

"May I ask why?", Daisy raised a brow.

"You used to believe me without any reason in the past but now you are even asking me reasons. Since you want reasons, I will tell you. He is not what he looks like. He is even older than you by nine years. But that doesn't matters. What matters is that he will one day grow bored of you and leave you."

Daisy frowned hearing Brent but did not say anything as he continued to reason out.

"He is a man who is desired by many women. No one can guarantee if he will really stay with you. Also, Daisy, he might look gentle to you but he is dangerous. He will put your life into risk. You are an actress and people know you for who you are. He is a Mafia. His enemies would use you for their benefits against him. I don't want..."

"Enough." Daisy slammed her hand on the table and stood up. She had been listening to his rants too much by now. Now she will speak.
