26 Raven Tribe-23

WILL'S POV•

My breath hitched in my throat as she grabbed my hand and looked at me fondly.

"Y-you know, I really envy that you can do that with a straight face." I said my face feeling hotter by the moment.

Her eyes widened but gentled, peering into mine.

"I-" she went to say something but Seb came up and put the water leaf back into the bag.

"We only got about a hour before we reach the Raven tribe." He informed, his tail flicking every so often.

"Oh really?" Maria looked over to him letting go of my hand. Fresh air hit my plan mmm male making me shiver.

(I wish that could have lasted longer…)

I looked around as Maria and Seb chattered about.

Soon we set off, and just as he said we arrive at the tribe soon.

The place was bustling with life.

I looked over at Maria she was looking around warily, her face troubles me so I gathered the courage to take her hand.

She looked up at me a slight pink glared in her pale cheeks.

I rubbed my neck and looked away.

"Seb have you been here before?" Maria called as he lugged our bag, he looked over his shoulder and smiled.

"Yes, I have actually. I was staying here when I spotted that lion heading to the Bear Tribe." He said flicking his ears back as he talked.

"I think you'll find they are more welcoming than the Bear Tribe." I looked at his back a bit confused on what he had said.

"Welcoming?"

"Yeah, you see the Bear Tribe is really hostile towards outsiders until they figure your not a threat. However… the Raven Tribes don't care as long as your friendly and perhaps give them something shiny every once and a while." He explained as Maria thought about it for a while.

"Oh." She put it plainly.

It did however make sense, but I could see where being too friendly towards outsiders could be bad…
