14 Digging Her Own Grave

Tong Yi was completely speechless. 

Lu Zhanbei's presence was so strong, no one could ignore him.

Also, wasn't he here to attend the engagement banquet? However, it looked more like he was here to watch a show.

Lu Mingli's face turned pale the moment he saw Lu Zhanbei. After that, he lowered his eyes.

Ji Yuqin held Lu Mingli's hand without saying anything else.

Tong Yi found it funny. Weren't they all high and mighty when they were trashing her just a moment ago? Why were they all acting like mice in front of a cat when they saw Lu Zhanbei?

Lu Moxi said, "Give me a reason. A reason that can convince me."

Tong Yi was a little surprised. She did not expect Lu Moxi to be so direct. From his attitude, it seemed like he did not have strong feelings for Tong Yi in the game. This way, things would be much easier to resolve.

Tong Yi's gaze landed on Lu Zhanbei without any qualms. He seemed to have sensed her gaze and turned a little of his attention on her.

Lu Moxi looked back and forth between Tong Yi and Lu Zhanbei with a deep gaze. Then, he smiled ambiguously and nodded at Tong Yi before walking out of the lounge.

Seeing her son leave silently, Ji Yuqin looked at Tong Yi as if she wanted to skin her alive. However, when she thought of Tong Yi saying that she liked Lu Zhanbei, her anger was instantly replaced by gloating.

This man was ruthless and heartless. He had no heart at all. What was the difference between liking him and digging one's own grave?

Ji Yuqin glared at Tong Yi before pushing Lu Mingli out of the room.

Suddenly, Tong Yi and Lu Zhanbei were the only two people left in the room.

Tong Yi thought that since she had confessed in front of so many people, Lu Zhanbei would express his feelings.
