5 V~Termination~

~It was a time when only the dead smiled, happy in their peace. (Anna Akhmatova)~

So boring! The little banshee has somehow shielded herself from my eyes. It has been hours and I can't see her! Oh! How awful it must be for her, trapped around all those humans and dimwitted half-breeds. She is the only pure thing left on that earth. With Father on a 'vacation' now would be the perfect time to end all of this. All of a sudden an image of the banshee curled up next to her demon shines in the room. I wish I could rip her away from him... what? No, that's not right!

Growling I watch as the demon waks and pulls her closer to him as she sleeps soundly. There is a small smile that spreads across her face as she pushes herself closer to him causing a laugh to escape him. Growling louder I slam my fist into the wall, putting a hole in it.

This will simply not do. I must bring her here much sooner than I had planned. The demon will cause me trouble and so I just have to terminate him myself. A rough voice causes my attention to snap back to the couple. "Izzie, I think it's time we got up."

Yes, I agree with the demon. You should get up and he should stop touching you! "But I don't have to go in today." She opens her beautiful pale eyes and a wicked smirk graces her face. "Really I was hoping we could stay in bed for a bit longer." Both her demon and I raise a brow questioningly. Soon our question is answered when she straddles him and starts placing kisses along his neck. Growling I storm out of the room.

How dare she! She is not his! I want her here now! There is something that draws me to her and it's not just the power she holds. Soon enough she will be here. Soon enough I will have her and her demon will be dead.

~*~

Smiling I rest my head on Abaddon's chest, "It's been awhile since we've been like that." I nod my head agreeing with him. It's been forever since I had to prove him and myself that I was entirely his and only his. This morning was heated and full of want, need, and passion. "Why?"

I glance into his eyes and sigh, "There is something weird happening."

Abaddon's eyes cloud with worry, "Does last night's dream have anything to do with it?" I slowly nod my head as he sits up, pulling me with him. "Did your dream have anything to do with your newest case?"

I think back to the dream. Abaddon's hate filled eyes, the strange man that claimed to be in Hell... could this be part of my case? We'll see, for now I'll stick with what I know for sure to be part of this case. "I don't know. Maybe but I don't really know..." Sighing Abaddon nods his head, "Well I'm going to bathe then we can head to the club and give the guys the information." With a quick nod Abaddon and I both leave the bed to get ready for the day.

As I walk into the wash room I find another note taped to the mirror. Groaning I rip it off the mirror and read it carefully.

I am so much closer than you think.

At the bottom of the note is a small seal and it shows a small flame. I fold the note and tuck it away. There's no need to alarm Abaddon with this. He's already far too worried about the strange portls allowing demons to pile through. With a heavy sigh I get in the hot shower and think about the note but my mind switches to the case. If this portal situation is anything like what brought Abaddon here we will have to call for the council to meet. All of the leaders of the supernaturals in one room. This should be a blast.

After getting out of the shower I walk into our bed chambers with a towel wrapped around me. I pad over to our closet and pull on a pair of black, skin-tight trousers and a leather, custom-made corset. I tug on my boots and tie up my hair. The boys will enjoy the fact that I'm in my 'field' clothes. I'm ready for a fight should it come down to it and they know that just by looking at what I'm wearing.

Sitting down in front of my vanity I sigh as I flip the hidden switch. Abaddon must have used my mirror and forgotten to flip is back. I hate when he does that.... He can see himself in it but it's just all black and white on the side that I show up in... that's how the pictures are too special cameras... It's just down right embarrassing. Shaking my head I apply my eyeliner, mascara, and a deep red lipstick. I look into the mirror one last time as I debate whether or not I should wear my contacts. Deciding to go without today I grab my purse and phone sending a message to all of my employees to meet us in the hall under the club.

I see Abaddon leaning against my car with his arms crossed over his muscled chest. "Why are we taking my car?"

"Because I don't want to drive and my car is still at the club."

Smiling I nod, remembering that I dragged him out of the club to my car and we didn't go back to get his car because I fell asleep and he drove us home in my car. "Oh yeah..." Shaking his head Abaddon slides into my car and I follow shortly after.

Abaddon and I both walk into the meeting hall and to the front. Taking my seat at the head of the large U-shaped table I take a moment to look around and I do, in fact, see new faces. "I have a case that I need information on." My voice resonates through the silent room. "Now there are a few of you that don't know how this works. If you cannot keep everything confidential or you feel uncomfortable helping the SCDA leave now. If you can fulfill these requirements please step forward." No one left and fifteen walked up to me. Abaddon has always done well when it comes to hiring people we can trust but I'm a little more demanding when it comes to this. "Each of you will read and sign this contract if you are able to adhere to my terms. Once signed this contract is tied to your life. Should you think about betraying this contract you get one warning before the magic within the contract kills you." I hand each of them a contract and pen.

They begin to read through it with serious faces, matching the seriousness of this matter. The contract simply states that everything about a case is confidential and will not be spoken about around others and everything found relating to the case will be reported directly to me immediately and this will be followed by pain of death. Each of them prick their finger on the pen, using their blood as ink, and they sign.

"Marvelous!" The word would have made someone smile but right now I am an agent and, as such, I am not permitted to show emotion in my voice, face, or posture. My colleagues don't understand and they say otherwise, claiming that it gets you more information if you show that you aren't... robotic. "Please take your seats." Obediently they walk back to their seats and I begin the meeting. "Now we have gotten reports of portals opening and demons pouring out of them. This has happened once before that I know of. If this is anything like the last time I will have to go to some extreme measures. What I need from you lot is information. I cannot visit every site of every portal. I need ten volunteers to go watch those sites. I need information such as the coordinates, what the site looks like, the amount of demons coming out, and if it is guarded. Who will do this?" Many men stood and I handed some the general areas where the portals were said to be.

"Our numbers have been included in those files. Only use my number if you cannot get ahold of Islanzadi and no matter what do not give me any information." The men all sound off before filing out, leaving only Abaddon, Hal, Justin, Bryan, Leon, Drax, Griffin, and myself in the hall. "Do you really think this is the same thing Izzie?"

"It may be... Abaddon when you chose to fight against them at my side you also made the choice to forget Hell and what happened to bring you here. I remember though. The portals opened and the demons crossed. They laid low for months before attacking viciously. I remember it all, well. I alone found the coordinates and visited the portals and now I know what it will look like so I can call the council for a meeting should the setup be the same."

Abaddon nods slowly, his trust in me has grown over the years and it makes me happy that he does trust me. "Did you get another letter from that creep?" Hal's words ring through the room causing the others to look at me expectantly.

With a sigh I nod, there is no point in lying to them. "I did but that doesn't matter just now. What matters is the case we are working on because if we can't figure this out and stoop everything from happening then we will never have time to figure out who's stalking me and if we do it won't matter."

Hal nods in understanding as the others stare at me. "What if this stalker is part of this?" Leon voices his opinion after a short, uncomfortable silence.

I honestly hadn't thought of that... "Yeah, isn't it a bit weird that this stalker started showing himself just before you got this case?" I look from the man with golden eyes, muscular build, tanned skin, and tawny hair that reflects the lion that dwells within him to the taller man with stony grey eyes and silvery hair, griffin. These two have been with us for quite some time now. They have always been the ones to step between Abaddon and myself when a fight broke out or one of us just needs to talk. They have been the ones to help us out. Hell they are the reason Abaddon and I are still together after all this time.

"I will admit that it is strange, the two problems coming up at the same time but we cannot assume they are linked."

Abaddon wraps his arms around my shoulders and places a kiss on my head. I close my eyes and lean into him. I let his embrace soothe my nerves. These five dancers are our closest friends and they have seen more than they should. The silence we share is just a sign of how strong our bond is. We all need this small break where we don't have to worry about work, we just take comfort in one another.

Our peace comes to an end when my mobile lights up with coordinates. "Grab a map and pen." Hall runs to get the map and Justin shakes his head before grabbing pins for me to stab into the locations. I receive one message after another of the coordinates as everyone reaches the portals. After the last one is put on the map I tie a string to the pin that shows where the first portal opened and I connect the other pins to it in the order they opened.

Once they are all connected I stand back and stare at the pattern. A shaking hand covers my mouth as tears build up in my eyes. I was hoping I was wrong. "What is it?" Bryan's worry peeks through his voice. They've only seen me like this a couple times but now is not the time for me to break down.

Pulling myself together I remove my hand and let the stone facade fall into place. "Call the council. My suspicions were correct."

Though everyone felt like freaking out they held it all in and got to work calling the leaders. Without a word I head for the doors but Leon's voice stops me. "Where are you going?"

"I have to go see Bryce."

"He will have to terminate you as an agent for calling the council."

"I am well aware that the council was disbanded and it is illegal to meet but there is nothing the SCDA can do in this situation. The council got through this once before and if we are lucky we will do it again but he needs to know just how serious this case is." With that I walk out to my car. This will cost me my job but it has to be done. Now I just have to worry about babysitting a bunch of powerful supernaturals. Groaning I park outside of the office building and get out of the car with the inevitable looming over me. Well here comes an end to a nice long career. I quickly make it through security and up to Bryce's office.

His sweet secretary smiles at me as I walk up, "I'm sorry Islanzadi but Bryce is in a meeting."

"His meeting can wait." I send a sympathetic smile to the young girl behind the desk as I walk into his office. "I apologize for the interruption but..." Sitting on the couch in front of Bryce was the man I saw in my dream. His piercing red eyes lock on me and his smile shows his perfect white teeth.

"You found something on the case I take it?" Bryce's voice snaps my attention away from the mysterious man and to Bryce.

"Far too much I'm afraid... I must call the council."

Bryce's face falls as he slowly stands from his desk. "A meeting of the council is forbidden and calling the meeting is punishable by death."

"Then take out that gun in your desk and do it." I look at Bryce ready for him to pull his gun out and fulfill his duty.

Shaking his head he looks at me with sorrow in his eyes. "Do you really believe it to be that bad?"

"I wouldn't do it otherwise."

"Islanzadi... Tell me what you found and I'm sure the SCDA can do something about it."

I seat myself on his desk, running a hand through my hair. "I;ve seen it before to put it simply... Hell on Earth. This society barely survived the last time when the council came together. We all put aside our differences and fought as one... we have a better chance this time because we have people who lived through it on the council... the SCDA can't do anything." I offer a sad smile as I stand. "So put out the order because I'm sending out mine."

"Go on, we'll have a spot waiting for your return. I won't report this plus... we don't know how to kill you. Just..." His words stop short as he pulls me into a hug with tears in his eyes, "stay alive girl. I like you too much to go to a funeral."

Taking a deep breath I thank him and run out of the building. As is get into the car my phone rings, "Islanzadi."

"About an hour ago a central portal opened but only one man exited."

"Thank you Draco. You will be at the meeting, yes?"

"Of course gorgeous. You're putting your neck on the line, I will do the same."

"I'll see you then." Hanging up I take off in the direction of an old castle, where the meeting will be held. My phone rings again as I begin to get closer to the outskirts of town. "Islanzadi."

Abaddon's voice glides through the phone with worry evident on it. "Please let me come with you."

"Sweetie you know why you can't come to this. You've never asked to before so why now?"

"No reason..."

"Abaddon." i lower my voice into a stren 'you better start talking' tone.

There is an audible sigh from his side, "I didn't ask before because before I didn't know you had dated three of the people you are meeting with."

Ah, jealousy. "Honey it is over with them and this is a war meeting. My signal is block and gps turned off so you cannot find my ETA so please don't try. Don't worry about it. I won't cheat on you."

"I completely trust you I just don't trust them."

I groan, I feel like slamming my head against the steering wheel. "Honey, nothing will happen. War is kind of a heavy topic. No one will be putting moves on anyone at the meeting."

"Okay... but when will I hear from you next?"

"The meeting should only last two weeks. If you hear from me or any of the other leaders before then something has happened and if you don't hear anything after then something has also happened. I will try to keep you updated on it."

"SO what you're telling me is worry."

I give a short laugh trying to ease his mind, "No sweetheart but the call is about to drop... As a secondary precaution mobile devices do not work within a hundred leagues of the kingdom."

"Stay safe love."

"And you as well Abaddon." With those parting words my mobile went dead. This ought to be loads of fun...
