2 II~Beginning~

~One person's craziness is another person's reality. (Tim Burton)~

"It has been such a long time since our last meeting. Tell me, how do you feel?"

I am laying on a brown leather couch staring up at the white ceiling. "Like I want to die."

"What has happened to make you feel that way?"

I search through the past year in my mind looking for something, anything, that would explain why I feel the way I do. I look to the doctor as I let out a sigh, "I don't know. I was doing great then all of a sudden... I wasn't."

He glances down at his watch, "Think about it more and I will see you soon." The room goes dark as I try to sit up. My eyes open and I sit up quickly, glancing around I see that I am in my bed. Why do I keep having that strange dream? I run a hand through my tangled hair. That's the third time this week. The doctor always glances down at his watch and says I will see you soon just before I wake.

Turning my head slightly I look at the clock on my nightstand. I groan as I realize it's 3:33 in the morning. Of course the one night I don't have to work I wake up when I should be getting off. I had only just fallen asleep not even an hour before. I lay back down in the bed and close my eyes, maybe if I'm lucky I can get three more hours of sleep...if I'm lucky.

Just as I get comfortable my phone rings. With a groan I pick it up as I try to shake the sleep from my head, "Hello?"

"Sorry if I woke you but..." I cut off the male on the other side of the phone. I already know how this conversation is going to end.

"But you need me to meet you, right?"

"Yeah..."

"Where at?" I don't know why I even asked, I can hear the dying music of the club over his voice as he answers.

"Midnight Fantasies?"

Throwing my blankets off I walk over to my closet, "I'll be there in half an hour."

"Make it ten minutes." Sighing I toss my phone on the bed and dress myself, grabbing one of Abaddon's shirts and a pair of pants that were probably his. I put my phone in my purse and walk out of the door brushing my hair. I wonder what they could need me for at this time. After running a few red lights and taking a couple 'shortcuts' I park the car in the back of the closed Midnight Fantasies. I walk up to the back door and bang on it not bothering to look for the keys. The door opens to reveal a lean, blonde haired, blue eyed man in only sweatpants that are hanging loosely around his hips, "Eight minutes, good job."

"What is it you..." I hear the shattering of glass followed by a loud string of incoherent curses. "What's got him like this?" I quickly walk in passed Hal and toward the shouting. I need to know that he is alright, I can feel my heart pound a little faster at the thought that he may be hurt.

"It's best you see it yourself." Hal, grabs my arm and I look back to him ignoring my heart at the moment.

I nod and Hal brings me into one of the dressing rooms. I can't help but gasp when I walk in. Everything is torn to shreds and strung across the room. The couches are ripped open and all but one of the mirrors are shattered. On the untouched mirror there is a note taped to it. I glance at Hal before walking over to the mirror and taking the note off.

You think you can have her? She is mine. If she doesn't see that in time then... I'll take her completely out of the picture.

I turn the note over to find that it was written on a picture of everyone in front of Midnight Fantasies, the opening day, we are all smiling and hugging each other but my face has been scratched out of the picture.

With shaking hands I tighten my grip on the picture as I look to Hal. "We have no idea who did this but... I think they are obsessed with you."

I walk out of the dressing room and towards the front of the club. I pause in the doorway when I see tables overturned, glasses shattered, and in the epicenter of it all is Abaddon with his face buried in his hands and his long black hair mussed as if he's been running his hands through it. I carefully walk into the room, trying not to step on glass, as I make my way to Abaddon. I get behind him before stopping my movement.

He turns around quickly and hugs me to his broad chest. He buries his face in the crook of my neck as he whispers to me, "I'm so glad you're alright." I pull away slightly so I can see his face. I gently glide my fingers over his cheek, "That bastard broke into my office and took that picture." He places both of his hands on each side of my face, "I fear you may be in danger we need to get you out of here."

"They only left a mess and a threat. They are trying to frighten you, they don't want you to be in your right mind. They want you to think that they can get to you no matter where you are. You have to know that they can't get to us." I place my right hand over his left and I stare into his eyes.

Abaddon places his forehead against my own as he lets out a small sigh, "You're right." I smoothed his hair out of his face, pushing it behind his ear and over his shoulder. "I'm just afraid that something will happen to you."

"Nothing will happen to me. I'm a big strong girl." I offer a smile and a teasing tone as I glance around at the huge mess around us. With a sigh I look back to Abaddon, the smile slipping from my face. "You really destroyed this place." There is an overwhelming wave of worry as recall the last time I say him like this.

Abaddon looks around as three men walk into the room, "Yeah... I'll clean it up..."

"I know you will and you'll do it before we open tomorrow." I lift one of the overturned tables and set it on its legs.

"Why did he flip his shit?" Justin walks over to us with Hal and Bryan following close behind.

"Well... someone has threatened us." I turn to look at the guys while standing next to Abaddon. This is not the first time we have had a threat so it doesn't have much of an affect on the guys.

I can feel Abaddon glaring at me from the side which catches their attention, "Someone walked in here, broke into my office, destroyed the new dressing room, and threatened Izzie."

Justin and Bryan both turn to look at me, "Who is this bastard?" I try my best not to laugh at Justin's reaction. Even though Justin looks like if he were to fall he'd break he will willingly get in a fight for me or any of the other... dancers here, after all we are the only family he's ever known. They are the only family I can even remember having.

"We don't know and that's what bothers me. I can't protect her from someone I don't know." It seems that I am being pushed out of the conversation by Abaddon's overwhelming need to protect me from any and all danger.

"We should check the cameras, maybe they caught something."

I nod but Hal just waves off Bryan's suggestion, "We already checked and no one was caught." I just stare at Hal with my arms crossed over my chest and my eyebrows raised. He slowly turns to look at me, "What?"

"When exactly were you going to tell me about this threat?" Hal ducks his head and glances to Abaddon in hopes that he could calm my anger but I know that it is Abaddon I will be directing it at, "He didn't want you to worry so... we weren't but then... you see what happened."

"Well then the two of you get to figure it all out." Throwing my arms up I turn on my heel and I walk off towards the back door.

"Don't be like that Izzie." I can hear Abaddon yell at me before Hal's quieter voice speaks up. Right as I get to the back door I see a hand reach out towards the knob before I can grab it.

Hal opens the door for me before speaking up again. "You know he simply didn't want to worry you."

"He thinks I am too weak to deal with my own problems."

I continue to walk to my car with Hal following behind, "You know that he didn't mean to insult you by doing that he just... he knows that you're under a lot of stress with the assignment you're on and the dates that are coming up."

As the two of us get in the car I give him a curious look, "One of my colleagues came to the club recently, huh?"

Hal gives me a goofy smile, "You know they have a hard time keeping their mouths shut about you when they come here."

Groaning I roll my eyes as I pull out of the lot, "You aren't supposed to use your charms to get information from them. That's slightly illegal." Even though I say this I wouldn't report them and neither would the agents that they use it on.

Hal shakes his head in disagreement, "I simply offer a private dance for... private information." I give him a sidelong look and his voice lowers slightly, "You didn't think we'd remember those dates, did you?"

I give a slight sigh, not taking my eyes off the road, "I had hoped you wouldn't." I feel his slender hand fall to my shoulder as I try not to think about the meaning of these dates. "Where do you want to get food?"

"Is that pizza joint still open?"

I shrug my shoulders as make my way there. When we walk into the deserted pizza parlor I see the owner bent over cleaning a table, "Are you guys open?"

The older gentleman looks over to us with a huge smile on his face, "We are always open for you." He turns and shouts in a fea dialect before two young women emerge from the back and he turns back to us, "What can we get for you?"

"The Midnight Fantasy's regular."

"Wonderful!" He begins shouting as he herds the ladies into the back to help him.

Smiling at me Hal walks over to a table, "Even though you're mad at him you didn't even hesitate to get his favorite and I know you're going to sit with him to make sure he eats tonight."

"Even though I'm mad at him I know he, and the rest of you, haven't eaten for hours. As your boss I have to make sure you are all taken care of...even my imbecile of a boyfriend." Without turning to look I can feel the youngest of the founding family sneaking up behind me, "Hello Aya."

"You two should get together. You'd be sooooo cute!"

"Aya, I've already got myself a partner."

The young girl groans and stomps around to the other chair at the table, "You always say that but he's never here! If he's soooo in love with you then why is Hal always the one to come with you?"

"I don't know about love but... he cares about me and he has things to do while I'm here with Hal."

Aya rolls her large brown eyes, "How do you know he's not with a girl?"

"Because I'd feel it and... he's loyal. He would never do that." My voice slowly gets quieter before I finish my sentence. He wouldn't do it...again at least.

Hal takes over the conversation when he realizes where my thoughts have moved to. "Abaddon has to be the best partner for Liah here. I'd screw up plus... she's not my type at all."

I look to Hal to find him giving me a once over as Aya leans forward smiling, "What is your type?"

Hal simply smiles back at her, "For starters... not female."

Aya looks as though she's been stricken as the words leave his mouth. I can't hold in my laughter as I see her face turn bright red, "Aya, quit pestering the customers."

Aya springs from her seat at the sound of her father's voice. "I'm sorry Papa!"

"Make yourself useful, girl." She runs over to him and takes the pizza boxes out of his arms before helping the other two women load them into my car.

I stand from my own seat reaching into my for my wallet, "What's the damage?"

The older man smiles and he holds his hands up, "It's on the house. What part of you saved the life of my family and cleared my name don't you get Islanzadi? If you need help or pizza we are here. Now go back to your man." He walks over and hands me a small, personal, pizza before pushing me out of the parlor. It seems the old man always knows when Abaddon and I get into a fight.

With a sigh and a smile I get into the car with an excited Hal. "I like him."

"You only like him because he gave you free food."

"Correction, he gave me free pizza!" Hal excitedly gestures toward the back seat, which is full of pizza boxes.

"Would you stop?" I run a hand through my hair as I talk with him. "I swear sometimes I can't believe you're an adult."

Hal turns back to face the front, "You know I look at you and then at me and I think the same thing then I realize how old you are and I'm at peace with it. I mean hell I strip for a living! I look good!" He slowly runs a hand over his body causing me to roll my eyes.

I shrug and nod in agreement, "With everything you've been through I'm glad you still have an innocent heart that allows you to remain childish from time to time."

Out of the corner of my eyes I can see Hal cross his arms over his chest, "I can't believe you didn't react to me calling you old."

"I am old, Hal. I am only a century or so younger than Abaddon and he's been around since the first humans met the first supernaturals and began to become civilized."

"So you're calling Abaddon old?" As I park I turn to look at Hal, "All three class fours are old. Older than you and me."

I get out of the car and walk into the club, "Grab some help and unload the car." I toss my keys to Jack, one of our security guards, as I walk to the lounge. "Straighten this place up! You have no room to set the pizza."

At the sound of pizza the room is miraculously clean. As the pizzas get brought in I take one and the personal one and head to the office. I find the door closed so I knock, knowing Abaddon is inside. "Come in."

I can hear through his voice just how tired he is. I slowly open the door, "I brought you dinner."

"I'm not hungry Islanzadi." He doesn't even look up from his papers as he responds, his voice cold.

I wince slightly hearing my name from him, I must have really upset him when I left. "I know you haven't eaten since opening." I set the box of pizza on his desk along with the personal pizza. "I'll leave you to eat."

Abaddon's hand wraps around my wrist as I move to leave. His voice becomes it's usual soft, deep ocean with a tint of Romanian charm. "You haven't eaten at all today and you only ate one small meal at the beginning of yesterday." I look down to his hand as his thumb rubs soothing circles over my wrist. "You didn't think I'd feel your hunger, did you Izzie?"

I smile at the usage of my pet name but I do answer Abaddon honestly, "No, I didn't."

Abaddon stands from his seat behind his desk and he holds his wrist out to me. "I know you swear up and down that you don't need it but.... You're not feeling well, you can't live off of the human's food."

With a slight smile, to hide my disgust, I move his arm away. "I don't need it, I'm alright."

His arm wraps around my waist as he places a kiss on my head, "You need more sleep. Go home, I'll be there when you wake." I nod and take a slice out of the pizza I brought for us before I leave the office. "I'll see you in the morning."
