3 III~Need To Know~

~One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say. (Bryant H. McGill)~

As the sun streams through the curtains I stretch out and sit up in bed. Wait a second... I look to the window only to find that I wasn't seeing things. "Dammit all!" I jump out of the bed and throw on my usual. I run to the bathroom to clean up and I quickly apply mascara and red lipstick. I throw my hair up into a partial bun as I grab my phone and throw it into my purse.

I step into my heels and quickly make my way to the kitchen where Abaddon is lazily making coffee. I quickly get the sugar out and my to go mug and set them down by him. I spin around quickly to get the cream out of the fridge and I turn again to set them down by him. I then rush out into the dining room picking up my briefcase and gun, with its holster, before heading to the door. As I grab my keys Abaddon is by the door holding my coffee.

With a grateful smile I take my coffee and give him a quick kiss before getting into my car. I should have been out of the house by like six this morning it's now... I look at the clock and groan, it's already eight. Good thing I didn't have any meetings this morning. I quickly make my way through the security checks in my office building before making it to my office on the fourth floor. The phone is ringing like crazy and there are already four people on hold.

"Victoria what's going on?"

"I don't know but they are all saying they absolutely have to talk to you." She turns to the phone in her hand, "Ma'am I'm sorry... ma'am..."

I take the phone from Victoria's hand, "Ma'am I must ask that you take a moment and wait. We have a lot of calls that have come in before you that I haven't been able to get to quite yet. I will get to you as soon as possible. Please hold." I put her on hold before walking into my office I seat myself behind my desk and Victoria sits on the couch across the room. I pick up the phone and move to the first person on hold, "Islanzadi Grimm, how can I help you?" I take down the caller's name concern, "Yes, thank you sir. I will take care of it." Three more hours of this and I look at Victoria with a sigh.

"I don't think I've ever seen you get that many calls before... not all at once at least and not from civilians themselves." My calls usually come through the SCDA as assignments.

I push a stray strand of hair out of my face, "I've never had so many calls come in for the same thing." I look at my notes again, "I'm going to need Abaddon and the rest of the crew on this... they will be on a need to know basis of course." I stand from my desk, "I need to talk to the Bryce. If there are anymore calls just tell them it will be taken care of and that there is nothing to fear."

"Do we have something to worry about?"

Victoria sounds frightened and I wish I could help to ease her mind but, "We might." I nod and walk out and down towards Bryce's office. I open the door ignoring the other board members that are in the room. "There is something going on and it's not good.' I toss my notepad down on his desk, "I just had people calling in for the past three hours and all of them are talking about the same thing. A hole opening up, demon-like creatures coming out, people being taken. I'll look into it but... I'm going to need my crew. Whatever this is... it's big."

"You can't let her bring in people with no clearance."

I turn to glare at the board member that spoke up with this nonsense. "Then I will walk out of this damn office and go rouge! Try to stop me. This will be taken care of in one of two ways. You will let me bring my people in or I will go on my own to deal with this!"

"It will only be Abaddon and the rest of the club right?" Bryce says softly earning a small smile from me. Even though he is my superior here he will do anything I think we need to do and I am usually the one calling the shots.

"You can't seriously be thinking of letting this woman bring these people in!"

"What else do you expect me to do? She is our best! No agents call looking for other agents but they often call for her! She is well known by the others, there is a reason she is the head of her division. She is our oldest agent and she runs circles around her underlings. She teaches them what she can and she gives them the simpler tasks. She takes the priority cases and if she thinks she needs help outside of the agency then I will gladly give her that help."

"Thank you so much, Bryce. I will keep them on a need to know." Bryce nods, knowing exactly what I'm going to do, and motions for me to start explaining what exactly these calls are about. "This isn't even just in the states. I was getting calls that were transferred internationally." Bryce and the rest of the board all nod and I begin explain exactly what I was told and what I think the possibilities are. There are so many possibilities and I know there is going to be a lot of research.

After hours of explaining, arguing, and threatening Victoria pops her head in. "Miss Islanzadi there is a man that says he must speak with you on line three."

I nod to her and Bryce puts the call on speaker, "Islanzadi Grimm, how can I help?"

"Well you can start by getting your sexy self out of the office so I can...." I quickly scramble to pick up the phone and take it off speaker, "You know I love it when I get put on speaker." There is laughter coming from Hal and Bryce.

I take a deep breath and close my eyes as I pinch the bridge of my nose, "I hate you so much Hal."

"I know." Hal's laughter slowly dies down, "Abaddon is worried, you missed your lunch with him."

I look for my mobile to see how much time I have until our lunch. "No I didn't it's not till..."

"Liah, it's ten at night. You need to make that lunch up to him."

I look to my personal mobile to see that I have thirty missed calls and about fifteen texts. I run a hand through my hair, "I will make it up to him. Make sure he's not busy tonight. I'll swing by and kidnap him when I leave the office. That being said make sure he's dressed."

"Will do. See you latter."

Nodding I hang up and look to Bryce who seems to still be laughing. "I love it when Hal does that. That's what the second time this week?" I shake my head, at least someone gets a kick out of his awful humor. "You should go home. I take it you missed lunch and didn't even realize it?" Smiling guiltily I nod my head and look to Bryce, "Go. Abaddon will be upset that you were spending that time with me, now won't he." He smirks as I rush out of the room so I can try to make this up to Abaddon.

I stop by the house and take off my usual floor-length black dress. I smooth out my custom-made corset as I decide to just leave that as my top and I pull an ankle-length skirt on over my leather 'tights' before stepping back into my heels. I stop by our washroom to fix my makeup and hair before running out to the car. I call the club in hopes that Abaddon is on stage. "Midnight Fantasies how can I help your fantasies come true?"

"What the hell kind of answer is that?" I burst into laughter at the opening one of the guys chose, "Anyway, you need to get Abaddon off stage I'll be by in a moment."

"You got it boss." With that the call ends and I make my way to the club.

I park and walk in through the front. Everyone gets stopped at the coat check to make sure there are no religious wear inside the club, wouldn't want anyone getting themselves hurt. As I walk through I get stopped by a fairly new employee. "Ma'am I need you to leave that necklace with me."

I look down to find that my crucifix entangled with a trinquet is displayed for all to see. I quickly tuck it into the top of my corset, "I'll be fine, I just need to see Abaddon."

"Just because you are one of the dancer's girlfriends doesn't exclude you from the rules, Ma'am."

Rolling my eyes I pull my badge out, "I think this excludes me from it." He quickly nods and motions for me to go in while apologizing to me. I walk in and go back stage. "When did we hire that new coat check attendant?"

Abaddon turns to look at me, "About a week ago, why?"

"Well... he now thinks we are violating regulations."

Abaddon moves away from the group of our dancers to come to me, "He saw your necklace, didn't he?" I nod my head slowly and he smiles, "So rather than telling him that you are his boss you pulled your badge huh?"

"You got that, at least I didn't flash my gun too." I move my leather coat aside to show my holstered gun causing Abaddon to roll his eyes, "Now go get dressed we're going somewhere." I make a shooing motion with my hands and Abaddon opens his mouth to protest. I already know how this is going to go. We are going to start arguing because he knows that we need someone here to take care of the club and make sure everything goes smoothly but I will continue to try convincing him to come with me and eventually I'll win but by then we would have already defeated the purpose of the argument. So I cut it off before it starts, "Hal will be taking your place for the rest of the night." Abaddon smiles at me and I take his hand in mine before I drag him out through the back and we run to the front.

"Would you like to tell me what was going on at work today that had you so busy?"

"Well...I'm going to need you on this case. It's really... it's going to be big."

He nods, "Am I on the need to know?"

"Unfortunately, yes but... I think you need to know everything about this case." I show him a small smirk as he shakes his head. Bryce knew it was coming he just said need to know to calm the big wigs.

"You have to be the best girlfriend anyone could ever ask for." His hand rests on my thigh as he smiles at me.

"Tonight we aren't going to talk about work though." I park just outside of the forest along the side of the road. I step out of the car and walk towards the forest's edge earning me a curious look from Abaddon. I motion to him to follow me and he follows me out into the forest.
