2 Drastic Change

Drowsily opening her eyes Ai checked her surroundings. Everything was pitch black. A very faint light covered the streets. She soon went into a panic as her memories returned. Jumping to her feet she looked around desperately for the old man. Not seeing him in the strangely busy streets. Pausing for a moment she rubbed her eyes and took a few deep breathes to calm herself. As soon as she was calm she opened her eyes and stood straight. Gazing at her surroundings. Everything seemed familiar yet slightly different.

Time went by as she walked along the streets. Keeping a distance from people as she noticed they was.. strange. They wasn't human. Some had tails, wings, horns or didn't have legs. She thought she was dreaming at first. But as she kept moving she noted this was real. How could her world change? Did she go into the future or past? Maybe an ulternate world? Her mind filled with thoughts which kept confusing her. But Ai kept her calm expression on her face nonetheless. Not showing her confusion or sticking out to much.

Ai had reached the place she called home. Gazing at the giant building she froze. This wasn't her home. It looked more like a rich person's hotel then the small apartment block of before. With this, Ai knew she wasn't in her hometown. Looking at the busy streets behind her once more figuring out what to do.

A gentle voice called out. "Miss? Miss are you lost?"

Ai noted the sounds but didn't think it was for her. Just as she was about to take a step forwards a light weight and warmth touched her right shoulder. Her head turning towards it, the same voice spoke again.

"Miss?"

Seeing a male with a complexed expression looking at her with his hand gently resting on her shoulder. He was wearing a uniform. A white shirt with black pants. A small tie around his neck which hung loosely. His skin tone was light. His hair as white as snow and his ears.. they was rather long. Bunny ears atop his head and a small fluffy tail on his backside. "You're.. a bunny?" Her voice didn't seem to have any emotion behind it. Yet her eyes showed confusion.

The male tilted his head, gazing into her eyes for a moment. "Of course. Haven't you heard of--" Before he could finish, he took a step back and stared more intently. His eyes scanning her body. Reaching her face once again he stated in shock. Mumbling the word "Human.."

Ai was creeped out by his intense stare. But before she could reply, her grabbed her wrist and pulled her inside the giant hotel like building.

Inside there was 'people' working. Once again, no one looked like a human. Some with tails and ears. Some with wings. Some using magic.

Ai continuously complained to the male infront of her. Asking to be let go repeatedly. The fuss she made attracted people's attention but she couldn't make out what they was saying as she was being pulled past them to quickly. Soon they reached something she could assume was an elevator. Unsure if things would still be called the same here.

The male pressed the button to the top floor and returned his attention back to Ai. "Sorry for being so rough. It's just.. you're human, right?" The male gave her a question look before he released her from his grip.

Ai thought for a moment before nodding. "I'm human.. why is that an issue?" Already knowing she was most likely the only human here by his reaction but didn't understand why she was here or even where here was.

The male sighed softly before standing straight. Bowing ever so slightly to her. "My names Kei. I'm a worker here at Ikeren in the Lost realm. Im unsure who you are or why you're here but.. It's unsafe for you. Humans shouldn't be in this realm." It was obvious he worried for the girl by his tone. But he was also conflicted.

Ai was rubbing her wrists as they still hurt slightly from his grip. She listened to what he said and looked away from him before sighing. "Nice to meet you, Kei. I'm Ai." Unsure on what to say she kept to herself after those words. Silence filled the elavator.

The door dinged bringing her back to reality. As a light appeared in the cracks as it opened she grew worried. A bad feeling welling up inside her as she didn't know what'd be behind this door. A few ideas came to mind but they each made the feeling worse.
