Handing my mother over to the pack leaders was hard but it had to be done. I went to visit her in her cell. Sam had seen to it that she was comfortable and well cared for.

Because she was my mother I couldn't participate in judging her. The panel was yet to decide on what to do. Sam had somehow managed to stall the judgement because of the twins.

Nicole and Nicolas were fond of their grandmother. We were still yet to know how best to take her away from them since they had never experienced loss before.

I hadn't spoken to my mother, since Hilda had spilt the beans. Sam urged me to speak with her so I could get some closure. She didn't want me to have unanswered questions and regrets. I knew she was right.

My mother was happy to see me. The guard had complained that she hadn't been eating. So, I instructed them to bring her some food.
