1 Spirit

On the colossal Spirit Mountain range, sunlight shined through the gap between the mountains into the deep canyons. On the hillside beside the valley, some snow remained.

Even though it's already the early summer, the snow has yet to melt. The cold here is exceptionally long. The roars of beasts can occasionally be heard.

In the distance there's plat surface grassy plain area, cold wind was slowly blowing the small grasses that made it sway like a snake intertwining in a tree branch.

However, on that tranquil area, there was a man lying on the grass seems like he's in a deep slumber.

"Mmh…"

The unconscious man moaned as he seems liked having a nightmare.

The man look was rather young, with his sleeping face; he seems like a toddler having a nightmare.

Looking closely at the man's face, he's pretty handsome for a typical man out there. Although a bit skinny, his nose is really pointed, that if anyone sees his nose, they will think that he had a plastic surgery. His thin red lips that even more beautiful than a girl's lips. Contradict to his thin lips; his eyebrows are thick and hairy but sharp like a blade.

"Ugh…"

The young man finally opened his profound twinkling black eyes as if they were looking at the deep abyss like his jet black untidy short hair.

Looking around his surrounding which truly foreign to him, the young man couldn't help but to muttered confusedly

"Where the heck am I?"

At his puzzlement, a sudden surge of unfamiliar memories rushed at his brain that caused him to grimace in pain.

"AGGGHH!"

The pain continued as if his soul and mind are forcefully merging with this unknown thing.

Even with all the pain the young man currently facing, he didn't let his consciousness fell.

He could feel that this unknown thing is trying to invade his body, that if he gives up his consciousness he won't be able to see the light again.

His saliva was drooling from his clenching teeth as he endured the pain.

And with a 'BOOM' within his mind, the young man once again fell unconscious.

After a few moments, the young man finally woke up from the pain he just experienced.

Huff! Huff!

After he woke up from the unforgettable experience, the young man quickly sat up as he gasps strongly for air.

At last, the young man eventually relaxed his breathing and hurriedly checked his body.

The young man heaved a sighed in relief after confirming that he is indeed completely alive.

Relaxing himself, the young man thought back at what happened.

He is Zhao Chen, 18 years old a normal senior high school student.

After that he found himself woke up in a foreign place with the nightmare he just experienced.

However, after the unknown thing tried to invade his soul, he has a new understanding of his current situation.

This world is not the same as earth. This world was called Spirit World where Spirit Master's are everywhere and the one that rules the world.

Spirit Master's are those powerful experts that could wield the ability after they merge with the spirit of demons, mythological creatures and sometimes Gods that they awakened.

It seems like his soul did transmigrate into this body after he died.

The name of the owner of this body is Long Chen. Long Chen was in the midst of his training to awaken his Spirit.

However, before Long Chen get to start his training. An unknown soul invaded his body. Although, he tried to fight, but the unknown soul was really powerful compared to his soul and eventually he lost his body.

So, to be accurate, Zhao Chen was the real invader here. After Zhao Chen defeated the soul of Long Chen, he didn't know that Long Chen soul did not leave the body, he just waited for Zhao Chen to lower his guard and tried to reclaim his body, that's why Zhao Chen experience the painful feeling after he woke up.

In the end, their soul and mind got completely merged. However, Zhao Chen soul was still dominant.

Resulting to Zhao Chen became the new owner of Long Chen's body.

"I'm sorry if I unknowingly steal your body from you. But, don't worry in exchange for this body. I will fulfill your dreams and goals. Especially to find your father...Let me shoulder all the thing you left behind…"

Zhao Chen apologized as he promised to Long Chen who's already gone along with the universe.

"So now, I'm Zhao Chen also Long Chen…"

He muttered in deep thought.

It did not take long before Zhao Chen came into the decision.

"No! Zhao Chen is already dead. In this world, I'm now, Long Chen!"

He said with conviction. He's now determined to leave his life as Zhao Chen and live as Long Chen.

Although, all the thing happened to him was incredibly unbelievable. He doesn't have any choice but to believe. Since the evidence was already before him.

Inspecting his body, he found that he's wearing a blue traditional Chinese robe and just base on his, Long Chen memories, he's also 18 years old with a height of 182 cm.

"Now, where did I stop?"

Scrutinizing Long Chen's memories, he finally remembered that he was on the way to train himself to awaken his Spirit.

Before to awaken the spirit, one needs to cultivate their Spirit Core located at their abdomen to make a Soul Space for their Spirits.

They could cultivate their Spirit Core with the help of Spirit Cultivation Method.

With Spirit Cultivation Method, they can absorb the Spirit of Heaven and Earth to build their Soul Space in their sea of consciousness.

Now, normally a person could awaken their Spirit until 18 years old. If, a person didn't awaken their Spirit after 18 yrs old that person could only be a Warrior an entirely different level compared to a Soul Masters.

With Soul Space, they could already be considered as a Spirit Master.

So, to awaken the Spirit that dwelling inside the body, they need something that can push the soul to the limit to awaken the sleeping Spirit.

And the effective way is to face life and death situation. So, the reason that Long Chen was alone in this Spirit Mountain Range is to face life and death battle with Ferocious Beast.

Ferocious Beasts are savage monsters without spirit ability. So, it's really suited for like Long Chen who still doesn't awaken their Spirit.

"Spirit... Spirit..."

Long Chen mumbled as he closed his eyes and focused his mind in his Soul Space.

As he focused his mind in his Soul Space, when he opened his eyes he found himself in a blue space with a big azure-colored burning fire and black burning fire floating before him.

"Huh, is this my Soul Space? And, isn't this my Spirit? Why there are two spirits?"

Spirit Masters and Warriors have five different rank colors, which are: Grey, jade, azure, lavender and Orange rank color. Each rank is then divided into five levels, from 1-star to 5-star.

A Spirit Master is above a Warrior. They can form a soul space within their consciousness; they have the ability to integrate with a spirit or captured spirit demon into their soul space and then merge with the spirit in combat. This allows them to possess matchless strength, which is far above the strength that warriors could compete with.

Currently, Long Chen Spirit Core is color grey with 1-colored jade star on it. That supposed to be with no star. Long Chen cultivation rise up by 1 after the soul fight earlier.

Now, Long Chen was utterly confused about the situation. Normally, Grey rank Spirit Master could only have 1 spirit. So, for Long Chen at his current rank and already have 2 spirits that should be for Jade rank Spirit Master.
