Chapter 2: Education and Training

A few more years passed. Nothing much had changed except for the many lessons that I was put through. It was tradition for the ladies after their fourth birthday party to be put through etiquette training including dancing, calligraphy, walking, getting dressed properly, speaking, and even eating. It was a lot of work. But due to these lessons, Mom and Dad realized very quickly that I was very smart which was to be expected due to the memories of my past life.

They decided to home-school me and I finished the entire elementary school curriculum by the time I was six. I then finished the middle school curriculum by the time I was seven which frustrated Ochaco, but we hung out a lot and I was able to help her.

Her family had started to struggle a lot with finances, so I convinced Dad to help them sort out their finances and to help them get better licenses for construction which led them to grow quickly as one of the premier construction companies in the Mie prefecture due to their skill and attention to detail. In the process, we caught their competitors red-handed cutting some important corners. Mom worked with Uwabami to make sure all of them were punished.

By the time I was nine, I finished my high school curriculum which seemed really fast, but mom saw the work I put into my academics, and recalling everything from my past life was incredibly easy. The next part was trying to decide what I wanted to study in college. I knew it would probably be philosophy but when I looked at all the colleges in the area, none of them offered philosophy courses.

This really irked me, but I didn't say anything to my mom and dad. Instead, I told them that I wanted to study three areas that I knew would help me get ready to write long-form philosophy. I chose Japanese and World History as my first, Then the Japanese language as my second, and English as my third. The last two would be easy due to all of the lessons I took and the last little gift that God had given me helping me understand languages, but learning a new history, I knew was going to be difficult.

I told my mom and dad that it was all for learning how to run the traditional elements of the family in the future. When I turned 15, I would officially take up the head position of the family, this was a result of the number of tails I possessed and the position of my mother as a member of the main family.

Ochaco and I hung out very frequently and practiced our quirks together with the coach that my parents had provided for me. We both learned Jiu-Jitsu due to it being the best form of martial arts for ladies because it helps with the size differences between men and women. We also learned taekwondo and Traditional Boxing so that we knew how to throw a punch. Daddy always said that if anyone ever tried to touch me, I would make sure they could never touch someone again due to how hard I punched.

Ochaco was a natural when it came to martial arts and it was actually hard to keep up with her if we weren't using our quirks. Her parents saw the growth of this fiery little Kirby turn into a lean mean punching machine as she grew into her teens.

I finished my first degree just as we hit puberty which started the emotional rollercoaster that I was free of for 10 years as I grew up. Being 20 and then not having a period for 10 years really makes you hate the cramps and pain. My first degree was in English which was followed by Japanese my next year at 11. History took me 4 years, but I finished a doctorate in it instead of just the 4 traditional years for the other two degrees. I finally finished my non-hero schooling when I turned 13.

I learned about the dawn of quirks which though it was said to have started in China, really started all over the world, suddenly, all at once, over 100 children were born with basic little powers and mutations. Over time this number grew and led to the growth of the Meta-Liberation Army and other terrorist organizations all over the world. The only country that handled it well was America which quickly ratified its constitution to include quirks in the second amendment and to add quirks to the protections of the 14th Amendment. It turns out that America had a string of amazing presidencies after the presidencies of the 2016-2028 era where it traded on party lines before a new party showed up and set them back on a trajectory of healing. I missed out on history with this election because it was the first time in history that a 3rd party won without kicking the other parties to the curb.

Most other countries dealt with severe terrorist organizations. The MLA which appeared in almost every country, organizations surrounding religious motivations from every religious group claiming they were the next messiah or those that led the world to coin the term villain for those that committed atrocities never before seen in mankind with the power of their quirks. This included All-for-One who was actually in history books at a college level but was presumed dead. I wrote my dissertation on the appearance of villains and the conditions that brought about villainy.

It was all fascinating to learn about and Ochaco dealt with all the gushing over history as I dealt with her gushing for heroes like a champion, but I knew that it really helped her with her history homework.

Finishing all of my lessons and graduating college with three degrees at the age of 13 was a newsworthy accomplishment. Mom and Dad smothered me with love and lifted me through the tougher times with everything in school, my very public persona with what I achieved. Dad made sure I was safe and able to rest at home while Mom coached me through public appearances. I really couldn't have done it without them.

When I turned 14, when I would traditionally be starting my last year of middle school, I started writing my first book. I called it: On Good and Evil: What We Have Lost with the Dawn of Quirks.

You'll notice pretty quickly that my writing is getting better than my prologue. I am hoping that it will stay that way. Writing the prologue was the first time I had written anything in months.

Hope y'all enjoy the chapter.
