A brief discourse on Circuits (and Circuit-Makers)

These Auxiliary chapters will seek to enlighten you on certain facets of the story.

They are not, however, necessary, and you should be able to work the information out from reading the story, if it isn't already explicitly said.

The main functionality of circuits isn't extremely different from their uses in real life, however their construction is different (and more fantasy-esque) which allows them to be used in more than just computers.

The wires in Circuits are referred to as "Veins", because instead of using conductive metals, Veins are thin tubes filled with various substances-- Liquid Light taken from certain times of day, some unique magical concoction, and sometimes even blood.

Like with actual circuitry, in which multiple types of wires are used, more than one type of vein is also common, the recently released mid-end "V.M.P. Co. Sanguine-Dusklight" Circuit is a prime in-world example.

Besides their use in computers (which need considerably less circuitry than in real life) Circuits also have some mystical properties, allowing someone to technically be able to create a flying sword or similar device (although such an invention would be heavily regulated by the Bureau of Circuitry)

Lastly, people perform surgery and insert circuits into their body-- usually Sanguine type circuits which they connect up to their bloodstream. Such Bio-Circuitry is the most common form of "Magic" in the City of Circuits (and the country it is located in).

Cultivation and Esoteric magics do exist, but tend not to be used in the City of Circuits.

Bio-Circuitry is actually more dangerous than the other disciplines, due to the tendency of bad Circuitry to explode.

Lastly; Circuit-Makers are essentially Programmers, except they work with both the software and hardware of the Circuits.

They go to university just like everyone else.
