Sakuraba Yuji ordered coffee at a café shop, took a seat, and began operating his smartphone.
He entered the password to unlock it. To his surprise, he found an app on the main screen that he didn't remember installing.

"What's this?" Yuji wondered. He had no memory of installing this app. He had lost his phone a while ago and reported it to the police, but it was returned to him as lost property. It couldn't have been more than an hour since it was out of his hands...
A truly suspicious app. However, Yuji's curiosity triumphed over caution. He tapped on it and launched the app.
"The initial settings will now begin. You can change the settings even after starting the game. First, please register your name."
The screen displayed this text, and the cursor blinked on the text page for entering initial setup.
Yuji thought for a while. Using a real name for the player name seemed unwise, so he registered as "John." It was a name that came to mind on the spur of the moment, the name of his favorite author.
After entering the player name and tapping on confirm, the screen switched.
"We will register your preferences. Please rate the images that will appear from now on.
The guidelines are as follows:
SSR (Super Special Rare) 91 points and above: I love it very much
UR (Ultra Rare) 81-90 points: Really like it
SR (Super Rare) 71-80 points: Like it
R (Rare) 61-70 points: Okay
N (Normal) 51-60 points: Kind of like it

Then an image appeared. It was a woman in her early twenties with an ordinary appearance and no distinctive features.
I neither liked nor disliked her. A plain appearance without any discernible personality or appeal.
Yuji rated it 50 points. Then the next image will appear. Women of various appearances and age groups were depicted. It seemed that the app was determining Yuji's preferences through these images.
Having completed the ranking, Yuji reached the end screen.
"Please decide the rarity level for displaying monsters. The default is Rare (61 points) or above."
Yuji decided to proceed with the default settings.
"The initial setup is complete. Now, please enjoy the game."
The screen switched, and a map appeared. Upon closer inspection, it seemed to be Yuji's current location. Did he need to go out into the city and search for something?

This is happening out of nowhere! It's no wonder Yuji is surprised. After all, he hasn't even stood up from the café seat yet.
The map on the screen switched to a live image. The monster is not displayed. It only shows the table in front of Yuji. However, an arrow points to the left. Yuji thought it might be a system similar to a globally famous game app and followed the arrow by moving his smartphone.
Then the image of a woman next to Yuji appeared. She was earnestly writing in a notebook placed on the table. She seemed focused and didn't notice that Yuji had pointed his smartphone at her. Her outline was glowing, and above her head was a triangular mark. SSR was displayed above that triangle. It seemed to mean Super Special Rare.
Yuji never expected that SSR would appear from the beginning... He was surprised at his luck. But is she the monster the app referring to?
"To capture the monster, please shoot a [love arrow]. If you hit it, you can capture it."
"As a beginner's bonus, John can use God's Love (Love Kiss) once. Will you use it?"

Yuji thought this game might liken women to monsters and capture them with love arrows. This special God's Love had a luxurious design different from other love arrows.
Two choices appeared: A [yes] or [no] options. Yuji thought for a moment and chose yes. In this game system of capturing with love arrows, there might be a possibility that the monster could escape. If so, Yuji wanted to increase the certainty of capturing the SSR.
But what will happen once he captures it? Will it save the image silently?
Following the information, Yuji slid his finger towards the icon of the love arrow, pointing it at the woman in the neighboring seat.
Then, the CG love arrow hit the woman, and she sparkled pink, with hearts fluttering in the air. The screen displayed, "`Capturing was successful." Additionally, it showed, "You've received one basket as an SSR capture bonus."
"A menu will appear if you tap the monster icon in the lower left."
A message appeared, so Yuji tapped it for now.
A menu screen appeared, and while exploring various options, information appeared:

These three options appeared. Yuji glanced at Yukina, who was next him. As usual, Yuji remained outside of Yukina's awareness.
"Well, whatever." Yuji chose "Summon." Following the app's instructions, he summoned her.
Then, Yukina's phone, placed on the desk, vibrated. The sound from the wooden desk's phone vibration managed to pull Yukina's consciousness away from the sea of thoughts.
Yukina operated the phone to check the message.
"Ah..."
Yukina let out a sigh, and her shoulders trembled slightly. Then, as if realizing Yuji was nearby, she turned towards him. A faint blush adorned Yukina's cheeks, and the gaze directed at him was clingy.
It was the first time Yuji had seen Yukina from the front, and she was a rare beauty worthy of being rated as SSR. Her features resembled those of a porcelain doll (bisque doll) a gracefully beautiful woman with long, silver-gray hair. Even though Yuji knew she was younger than him, he felt as if his soul had been captured.
Deciding it was better to initiate a conversation, Yuji spoke to Yukina.
"Summon... did you receive the message?"
"Y-Yes... When I saw the message, I thought I had to access the URL, so I did that, and then..."
"And then?"
"I realized you were here... I'm sorry for not noticing you until now."
"No, don't worry about it."
With Yukina's current words, Yuji understood that the message carried a certain level of compulsion. One wouldn't think they had to access a URL just by looking at the message.
