Chapter 164

Boom!

A deafening sound reverberated as a hundred-meter building slanted and collapsed.

The anti-gravity hovercars, usually orderly in their flight through the sky, scattered in all directions.

Amid the chaos, the hovercars collided with each other, creating a series of crashes.

How could the toppling of the hundred-meter building possibly be easily avoided?

As the structure fell, numerous hovercars were crushed, plummeting straight down to the lower levels.

This world is Earth-751263, and the Spider-Man of this world is known as.. just that.. Spider-Man.

(A/N: We'll just call him Super Spider-Man or something to distinguish him from the others. I'm getting tired with all these nicknames fr fr.)

This is a very peculiar world.

The Super Spider also hails from Earth. Due to his failure to prevent Venom and Carnage from boarding the spacecraft piloted by J. Jonah Jameson's son, John Jameson, heading to the Counter-Earth, the general populace remained oblivious to the existence of Venom and Carnage.

Consequently, the Super Spider ended up shouldering the blame.

People no longer appreciated him.

In a fire, his original suit was damaged. Subsequently, the Super Spider "borrowed" (actually stole) nanomaterials from Mister Fantastic to create a nanosuit equipped with functionalities like sonic devices, night vision, and invisibility.

Later, the Super Spider learned that John Jameson was still alive and decided to head to the Counter-Earth to rescue him and clear his name.

So, he hijacked a spacecraft and flew towards the Counter-Earth.

Upon arrival, the Super Spider learned of the events unfolding on this planet.

Many years ago, there was a fellow named High Evolutionary who modified the animals on this planet, turning them into beings similar to humans, called Bestials

But he despised humans who enjoyed making war, so he relegated humanity to second-class citizens.

Subsequently, he built a new society here.

In this new society, living quarters were determined based on one's status. Bestials, classified as first-class citizens, resided in the highly technologically advanced upper regions, while humans, considered second-class citizens, lived in the dilapidated lower realms.

John Jameson joined the rebellion on the Counter-Earth and became the leader of the resistance, leading the humans who resisted High Evolutionary's tyranny.

After failed attempts at persuasion, the Super Spider decided to stay and assist the resistance.

Meanwhile, Venom and Carnage were also on the Counter-Earth, following the commands of the Counter-Earth Symbiote, attempting to transform the entire planet into the symbiote's paradise.

Under High Evolutionary were the Wundagore Knights, led by Lord Tyger, which included Lady Ursula, Lady Vermin, and Sir Ram.

The Knights of Wundagore could employ robots as enforcers, using force to subdue humans and maintain their "peaceful" existence in the lower strata of society.

However, the current Counter-Earth was already in chaos.

With the collapse of the hundred-meter tower, Sir Ram's rage soared.

Thinking it was the human rebels causing trouble again, he immediately issued orders.

A dozen combat robots swooshed out, flying into the sky under Ram's leadership.

"Disgusting humans, show yourselves and face the consequences!" Ram roared with anger.

"Oh? A totem exuding the smell of mutton? Not exactly appetizing, but tasting something new might not be too bad!" A rugged and malevolent voice resounded.

Immediately after, a pillar shot out from nearby, sending Ram and his flying combat vehicle crashing down!

"Protect His Eminence, protect His Eminence!"

"Enemy target detected!"

Battle robots activated one after another, heading towards the direction of the attack.

In the partially toppled skyscraper, a man casually dropped the desiccated body of a fish-man he had drained, lying at his feet.

It was Daemos

Observing the combat robots flying overhead, Daemos sneered, "I remember playing with these flying toys a long time ago; that world was quite similar to this one!"

He casually grabbed a handful of rubble from nearby and hurled it skyward.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

A series of explosions resounded.

A dozen or so combat robots were swiftly destroyed in an instant!

The intense fighting immediately caught the attention of the Super Spider, known in the human street below as Peter Parker.

He swiftly donned his nanosuit, rescuing a few people trapped under the rubble before hastening to the location of the commotion.

"What's happening? Did Jameson's group launch another attack?" The Super Spider pondered while swinging, quickly dismissing his own speculation. "No, where did they get this much explosives, enough to blow up an entire building?"

Elsewhere, Tyger, Ursula, and Vermin, with their respective robotic armies, also hurried towards the scene.

Daemo's body slightly curved, propelling him upwards. He landed swiftly beside Ram.

Clad in specialized armor, Ram was relatively unharmed despite the impact and got up swiftly.

Spotting Daemos, he furiously exclaimed, "Mere human, how dare you be so audacious!"

Pausing for a moment, Ram lowered his head and charged towards Daemos with his massive literal ram horns.

Daemos coldly snorted without moving a muscle, "Interesting."

Dang!

Ram slammed into Daemos with all his might, but it made no impact whatsoever.

Daemos' figure didn't even sway.

"How... how is this possible?" Ram was taken aback.

However, before he could retreat, Daemos reached out, grabbing one of his horns, forcibly twisting his head, and swiftly sucking out his life force.

"The taste of sheep... too gamey compared to spiders." Daemos tossed aside the now lifeless body of Ramhorn Bread, licked his lips, and made a remark.

Then, he squinted slightly, "Where's this world's Spider?"

However, Daemos glanced at the fleeing bird-men, fish-men, bull-men, monkey-men, and a smirk crept across his lips.

"Almost forgot, this world offers a variety of delicious meals. Having a 'pre-dinner appetizer' before the main course wouldn't be too bad!"

He uttered these words and dashed into the fleeing humanoid animals.

With a casual sweep of his hands, he grabbed at least two of the humanoid animals.

Then, one by one, he devoured them as if snacking on sunflower seeds—effortless.

At Daemos's speed, none of these ordinary humanoid animals stood a chance of escaping his grasp.

In just a few minutes, the ground was littered with the bodies of hundreds of humanoid animals!

"That bastard, over there!"

"Battle formation, initiate direct attack!"

The rest of the Wundagore Knights finally arrived. From a distance, they witnessed Daemos' actions and immediately ordered the combat robots to focus fire.

Rat-a-tat-tat—

Boom, boom—

Bullets converged into a metallic storm.

The whistling of shells was deafening.

The area where Daemos stood was completely covered in a moment, shrouded in smoke and dust.

"Cease fire!" After a minute of relentless firepower, Tyger raised his hand, and the widespread combat robots ceased their barrage.

Tyger activated the infrared detector on his mask and looked towards the smoke and dust.

However, the feedback results astonished him.

The detector showed an incredibly powerful heat source!

"How is this possible! Fire again!" Tyger roared.

"Ah—little insects, I've felt your enthusiasm! Now, let me show you mine!" Daemos' sinister voice echoed once more.

He leaped and suddenly appeared right in front of Vermin, who was the closest to him.

Lady Vermin face paled as she immediately directed the laser cannon on her flying vehicle towards him.

Despite the intense laser cannon that could vaporize a person in an instant, Daemos emerged unscathed. Even his black formal suit showed no sign of damage!

Bathing in the laser, he surged upward, colliding with Vermin's flying vehicle, while simultaneously seizing her head in his large hand.

Boom!

Daemos crashed heavily to the ground, causing the nearby earth to crack and split.

Tyger shouted, "Human, release Vermin! We can overlook everything you've done!"

"Haha! Why should I care about your pitiful pursuit?" Daemos laughed heartily and immediately bit Vermin's head off.

Representing the life energy of the "Mouse Totem" and Vermin's head were ruthlessly crunched into pieces by Damon.

Her headless corpse was discarded on the ground like trash.

"Now, come and chase me! Hahaha!"

Daemos vented his frustrations, desiring to release his frustration from the previous world, where he missed out on eating that delicious spider and two other young spiders!

"Damn it, is he really a human?" Tyger growled lowly, striking the dashboard of his flying vehicle with his fist.

Beside him, Ursula, the Bear Woman, quietly approached Tiger and whispered, "Guns are completely ineffective against him, lasers have no effect either. Should we retreat first and report to Lord High Evolutionary?"

Tiger glanced down at Daemod laughing maniacally, then at Vermin, Lord Ram, and the many innocent humanoid animal corpses. Anger and hatred filled his tiger eyes.

"No, Ursula, you go report to Lord Evolutionary. I'll stay here."

"But Tiger..." Ursula attempted to persuade again.

Tiger stopped her directly, "Ursula, I am Lord Tyger. Protecting them is my duty! If, if I die, I hope you'll inherit my will. Let humans and humanoid animals coexist peacefully under the same sky, enjoying the freedom of breath. I'm counting on you, Ursula!"

Ursula performed a knight's salute in solemnity.

Tyger was an anomaly among the humanoid animals, holding a high position yet possessing a compassionate and benevolent heart. He believed humans and humanoid animals should be equals. However, due to High Evolutionary's influence, he dared not reveal this ideology. Now, feeling his odds were slim, he expressed his last wish.

Clang!

Tyger drew his knight's greatsword from his back, raised it high, and roared, "Wundagore Knights, I am Lord Tyger! Charge with me!"

Boom!

The response was the deafening sound of countless combat robot engines.
