Chapter 120

Actually, compared to the pretentious Mary Jane of this world, Mark preferred the girl in front of him. Even though her appearance didn't match Mary Jane's beauty, her heart was genuinely beautiful. Even during Tobey's lowest moments, she would silently accompany him, making him smile and preparing him snacks.

Unfortunately, Tobey Spider's heart was always set on Mary Jane, even when he tried to flirt with other girls during his "bully mode," it was all just an attempt to provoke Mary Jane.

Tower

A completely black figure descended from the sky. He was none other than Tobey Spider possessed by Venom.

Standing on the bell tower of the church, he felt a bit confused and panicked. Just moments ago, he had used Gwen to hurt Mary Jane in the bar. He had even accidentally hit Mary Jane during a conflict with the bartenders. A few days ago, he had a heated argument with Harry.

Now, his mind was filled with questions from his friends, Harry and Mary Jane.

"Peter, what's happening to you?"

"Who are you, really?"

"What's wrong with me? Who am I, really?" Tobey Spider mumbled to himself. "Ah..."

Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his mind, as if something was stimulating his nerves. This pain went beyond the physical, directly affecting his psyche.

Tobey Spider couldn't help but fall to the ground, screaming in agony. At the same time, in the church below, Eddie Brock had experienced a series of misfortunes, including being fired by the Daily Bugle after his doctored Spider-Man photos were exposed, losing his job, and his girlfriend being deceitfully taken by Tobey Spider for a date. After suffering these setbacks, Eddie Brock came to the church, disillusioned, and confided his misfortunes to the biblical God. At that moment, he heard faint screams from above.

Driven by curiosity, Eddie Brock got up and walked towards the stairs at the back of the church.

Thud, thud.

Tobey Spider writhed in pain, and in a moment of carelessness, he bumped into the central hanging bell, causing it to swing and produce a "dong, dong, dong" sound.

It was strange that hearing this sound seemed to alleviate some of Tobey Spider's mental pain.

Afterward, he noticed in a frightened manner that the black suit that had brought him so much joy had come to life on his body, as if it had its own consciousness.

"Could it really be like Dr. Connors said, that this thing has its own thinking ability, that it's alive?!" Tobey Spider shivered with fear.

Feeling the excruciating pain coursing through his body, he clenched his teeth and banged his head against the large bell.

The bell started ringing violently once again. In the layers of sound waves, the symbiote was steadily weakening, with many parts falling to the ground. A small clump descended from the air, falling toward Eddie Brock, who was looking up at this spectacle.

Eddie Brock didn't know what this substance was, but upon hearing those bone-chilling screams, he knew it couldn't be anything good. However, he was just an ordinary person.

When he finally reacted and attempted to step back, the drop of black liquid was nearly about to land on his head!

Swish!

Just at that moment, a strand of webbing shot out from the side, firmly attaching the clump of venom to the nearby wall.

Following that, a man and a woman appeared beside Eddie Brock through the portal. Mark casually glanced at Eddie Brock. Though Eddie had ill intentions, he didn't deserve to die. Since he wasn't possessed by the venom at this moment, saving his life was acceptable. Additionally, dealing with the venom was easier when it had lost its host.

Then, to Eddie Brock's astonished gaze, Mark's left hand transformed into a fiery shape and delivered a punch. A fireball flew out and struck the small clump of venom. The blazing flames rapidly incinerated the venom.

Mark furrowed his brow. Despite his preparedness, he found the venom still more challenging than expected. The tiny clump he had just destroyed was only thumb-sized, but it consumed around five to six times his energy to eliminate it.

If he wanted to get rid of all the venom that fully enveloped Tobey Spider, it might very well exhaust Mark.

"It seems I'll need to use some external help," Mark thought. He remembered that in the original storyline, the venom was ultimately killed by Tobey Spider using a pumpkin bomb, which indicated that an explosion could also destroy it. So, it might be better to capture it first!

Mark had an idea, and when he turned around and saw Eddie Brock still staring at him, he impatiently said, "What are you looking at? Hurry up and leave!"

Eddie, who was not under the influence of the venom, was still the guy who only knew how to play clever. He promptly left.

"Gwen, should we go up?" Mark asked.

Gwen nodded. She had never seen the Venom, who intruded into the world of Spider-Tom. She had only heard Mark's descriptions of it and was genuinely curious. "This Venom can enhance abilities, making ordinary people extremely powerful. If Spider-Man were to be possessed by it, wouldn't he become even more formidable?"

Mark nodded and extended his hand, shooting a strand of web upwards while explaining, "That's correct. His current strength is probably several times greater than it was originally."

Gwen's eyes lit up, and she followed Mark as they ascended to the top of the tower. There, they saw Tobey Spider fighting the Venom on the ground.

Mark stepped forward, hands transformed into flames, and grabbed the Venom.

"KAAACKKKK!!"

A sharp, agonizing scream resounded as the Venom was scorched by the flames.

"Gwen, ignite the surroundings!" Mark, still tearing at the Venom, instructed.

"Alright!" Gwen grabbed a container of gasoline and poured it on the ground, forming a circle, before dropping a lighter.

Boom! Flames instantly erupted.

Mark took the opportunity to toss all the removed Venom into the fire to prevent it from escaping. The Venom sensed that things weren't going well, but it couldn't overcome these weaknesses at the moment. Faced with the roaring blaze, it could only scream in agony and shiver within it.

After several minutes of intense work, Mark finally managed to remove all the Venom. Some of it had been burned on the spot, but the remainder still reached about half a person's height.

Mark opened the portal, connecting directly to the Osborne Lab. Dr. Otto Octavius was excitedly studying the technology on the Ark Reactor and marveling at it.

Initially, he was a bit annoyed by their interruption in his research. However, when he saw the Venom, Dr. Octavius was immediately shocked and asked, "What is this thing?"

Mark gestured to the exhausted Tobey Spider nearby. "Doctor, lend a hand; this guy is a bit fatigued."

Dr. Otto Octavius, looked at the limp Tobey Spider and extended two mechanical tentacles, carefully lifting him and placing him on an empty lab table. He even grabbed a lab coat and put it on Tobey.

"Doctor, I need a sealed container. The best material would be high-strength bulletproof glass," Mark continued.

"That might be a bit difficult; my lab doesn't have that. Let me call Harry," Dr. Octavius immediately dialed Harry Osborn.

Due to Mark's intervention, there were fewer misunderstandings between Tobey Spider and Harry Osborn, and their relationship was quite good.

Upon hearing that Mark had found Tobey Spider, Harry Osborn put down what he was doing and rushed over.

In a few minutes, Harry Osborn arrived. He first examined the exhausted Tobey Spider, and Mark told him that he only needed some rest, which relaxed Harry somewhat.

He then informed Mark that there should be suitable facilities in another laboratory. It was the laboratory where the Osborn Group had originally tested weapon strength. After the Osborn Group fell on hard times and lost official weapon contracts, Mark persuaded Harry Osborn to abandon weapons research and instead focus on developing power and civilian technologies.

So this laboratory had been temporarily idle.

After getting a rough idea, Mark nodded. He returned to the church tower.

At this point, because the gasoline had been burning continuously, the flames had diminished in size. The dormant Venom started to show signs of restlessness.

Mark sneered and began to fully activate his quantum mimicry magic. His hands instantly expanded into two huge flaming palms, scooping up the Venom.

"Let me go! Let me go!" As if sensing its impending doom, the Venom began to emit strange signals, similar to brainwaves, which transmitted into Mark's mind.

Mark couldn't be bothered with it. His approach to dealing with such completely uncontrollable dangerous entities was to strike first. He decided that he would deal with whatever came after he killed it.

So, regardless of the Venom's shouting, threats, insults, or pleas, Mark simply ignored them. He used his fiery hands to enclose and secure the Venom. He continued to another lab, finally tossing the Venom and the flames into a device.

As the device sealed, the flames Mark conjured extinguished, leaving only the small clump of Venom in the container.

"Is it dead?" Gwen asked.

Mark shook his head. "It needs to be completely obliterated, not a drop left. Harry, prepare a few explosives to finish it off!"

"Alright!"
